  • Traveling wave on the structure can be generated by superposing two standing waves. Precise matching of the amplitudes and phase shift between two standing waves in time and space is the key to the success of generating a traveling wave. The principle of generating a traveling wave on the structure is utilized in the construction of linear and rotary type ultrasonic motors. This paper demonstrates experimentally generating a traveling wave on the simply supported beam.

  • Preliminary test for the design and construction of a tuned dynamic absorber is a conducted. Proposed tuned dynamic absorber is a cantilevered beam type, and is supposed to adjust its natural frequency according to the changing operation condition of the primary system. The modal mass of the dynamic absorber is the easiest to control, therefore, the position of the attached mass of the dynamic absorber is considered as the main design parameter of the absorber. The effect of the dynamic absorber is experimentally verified under various operation conditions of the primary system.

  • Assessment of noise exposed population is to check the environmental noise level and social influence in order to reduce the risks such as annoyance and disturbance that are generated by environmental noise. Also, this method suggests the preferential noise abatement policy and action plan by accurately finding the area that the noise causes harmful effect to human health. Recently, a noise map, which can predict noise in comprehensive areas, is used for the assessment of noise exposed population, breaking from the methods using existing measures. In particular, countermeasure for the noise can be considered more effectively by using assessment methods of noise exposed population for specific noise levels, areas, and building types which are the main input factors in noise maps. In this study, assessment methods of noise exposed population by using 2 dimensional noise map are compared with those by 3 dimensional noise map.

  • The wind turbine, Europe and the United States are different with the standards process each other when the manufacturing company which in order to demand the standards process to a construction in the multi country with interested parties of the corresponding nation to, always the re-agreement is difficult. Korean wind turbine also detail there is not a standard, when it produces and establishes of wind turbine, the problem point occurs. It is like that investigation of international standards system it leads and when it prepares the Acoustic noise measurement of the Wind Turbine Systems of Korea, it prepares the base for industrial development wind turbine of Korea.

  • Heavy-weight impact noise(HN) is the most irritating noise in Korean apartment houses. It has been proclaimed standard floor system of 210mm thick slab with isolation material in the wall type structure. But this regulation is applied only new construction field and is not considered remodeling field. In general, the LN can be reduced by using isolation material but HN is known as relating with stiffness, strength & boundary condition of slab. Therefore it is difficulty in improving the HN on remodeling field. In this study, We conducted the reinforcement of concrete slab using C.F.S.(carbon fiber sheet), steel plate and steel beam after on-dol with isolation material on the remodeling field. As the test results, It appeared using C.F.S was no improved but using steel plate & steel beam were a little improved on HN.

  • Lower tunnels and concrete based tracks are introduced to newly constructed metro lines to reduce the construction and track maintenance fees. But such a lower tunnel together with concrete based track causes higher interior noise of metro trains. It is required that the trains should not only be a transportation media but also be comfortable. So, to lower the metro train's interior noise level, design was made to increase the transmission loss per sectional part. Through such a design, it is expected that about 7 dB(A) of noise level will be reduced compared to that of the conventional train.

  • It is reported that there is a limit in increasing heavy-weight impact noise isolation performance of the load bearing wall system apartments to meet the regulation of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT). To increase the heavy-weight impact noise isolation performance, improvement in structural systems such as increasing concrete slab thickness and application of rahmen structure were proposed. In this study floor impact sound levels from toil apartments with two rahmen structure multi-story residential buildings were measured before the construction of the buildings finished. Measurements were made at living room and two bedrooms at each apartment when the finishing processes were finished. The average value of light-weight impact sound level from ten apartments was 56dB (L'$\sub$n,Aw/). The heavy-weight impact sound level was 44dB (L'$\sub$i.Fmax.Aw/) and the impact sound level of the impact ball was 41dB(L'$\sub$i.Fmax.Aw/), As a result floor impact noises at the rahmen structure system were lower than the regulation level.

  • Predicting the noise radiated from vibrating structures is important in the automotive, aerospace, construction equipment, and defense industries. In this paper, a numerical implementation of the boundary element method in solving the Helmholtz integral equation for radiated noise prediction is presented. To predict the noise emitted by vibrating structure, the developed code can use the results from a structure analysis performed by a multi-purpose structural finite element code like ANSYS and directly measured data by non-contact vibration sensor like Laser Doppler Vibrometer. To verify the accuracy of developed code, two kinds of verification are perfomed. Firstly, the computer code used the harmonic analysis results of ANSYS in simple model and try to match with SYSNOISE. After matching with simulation results, the code compared with the result from SYSNOISE which used the velocity data from the LDV measurement with different number of points. The performance of the developed code for vibro-acoustic noise prediction is presented using the experimental results of the non-contact sensor

  • 건설 공사장에서 발생하는 건설장비의 소음을 저감하여 공사장 인근 지역의 생활환경에 미치는 소음영향을 최소화할 수 있도록 건설업체에서는 최대한의 노력으로 가설방음벽을 설치 운영하고 있으나, 설치된 가설방음벽의 효과분석 및 운영방법에 대한 검토가 부족하여 효율적인 소음저감대책으로서의 가설방음벽 운영이 어려운 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 가설방음벽의 기초데이터의 확보와 소음해석을 통한 효율적인 운영방안을 제시하며, 설치기준에 관한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 정비밴과 수리부속밴은 2.5톤 군용차량에 쉘터를 탑재하여 사용한다. 쉘터 내부는 선반형태로 구성된 정비밴과 서랍형태로 구성된 수리부속밴이 포장도로 및 비포장 도로 주행 시 받게 되는 진동,충격 등의 동특성을 비교 분석하여 유사체계에 설계 시 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.
