A law and enforcement ordinance related to "ubiquitous city" (U-city) has been announced officially in Korea and practical standardization which is connected with U-city is in progress. The U-city defines citywide service over a city providing its infrastructure. The key facilities of U-city include intelligent equipments, networks, and operational facilities. Especially, the main focus of them is the intelligent equipments that are defined as facilities being applied to information technology. However, U-city has not been provided with standards related to actual construction of intelligent equipments so far. In this article, we survey standards for intelligent equipments for existing infrastructure and U-city's services.

Recently, the rural village development projects are proceeding as enhancement of the rural landscape as the interest toward rural tourism and rural immigrant has increased. However, the projects are solely to support construction of community space and there has been a lack of community facility remodeling in term of both deterioration facilities and abandoned facilities. Thus in this study proposes rural community facility remodeling process to utilize remodeling of rural deterioration facilities and abandoned facilities. For setting rural community remodeling process, this study analysed preceding research data and suggested rural community remodeling process stage ; planning, spacial resolution, remodeling factor analysis, implementation, maintenance control, based on research data. For systematic performed this process, this study regulated role of local resident, expert and local government on remodeling process stage.

Ami-dong Crematorium in Busan was established as one of the public facilities in 1929(the period of Japanese Occupation). It is the originator of Busan Yeongnak-Park(永樂公園), the funeral facilities of Busan municipality. The crematorium of Busan region was accepted at an earlier stage inside Japanese Concession in accordance with the opening a port. As Ami-dong Crematorium was constructed as a public facilities, the precedent has been maintained so far, providing a background equipped with the leading public corporation facilities in Busan area. This study was based on the expansion construction document founded by National Archives in Korea. Above all things, this research revealed the establishment and change of Busan Ami-dong Crematorium as the historical point for the formation process of recent public funeral facilities.

In this information-oriented society, the ability to manage and process the rapidly increasing amount of information has become an absolute requirement. Students of today must prepare for the challenges of the upcoming 21st century through developing skills in computers and by nurturing a creative mind and the aptitude to resolve problems. In terms of its pedagogical function and range and applicability, multimedia will surpass all other tools of education, owing to its flexibility and openness. This study provides actual case examples of the construction and utilization of the multimedia environment and proposes factors that must be considered in the construction of the multimedia environment.

As the railroad-base is an important factor to maintenance the rolling stocks, it is essential to improve the current problems of the environment pollution, nose, vibration, welfare, work condition and to applicate the performance betterment cases to the new base construction and pre-base maintenance. When the new base construction and pre-base maintenance is proceeded, it is necessary to construct the optimized system which includes the user's opinions enough to prevent the waste of the budget ,in that some part of the budget is spent to improve convenience, work condition, and the fault of base system after the construction. Therefore, this research intends to present the problem of the pre-constructed facilities, the testing operators' opinions, the analysis and the investigation of facilities' improvement, thorough the indication of provisions and the analysis of the result of the survey of testing operators.

In this study, we investigated the site feasibility for the construction of the incineration facilities in Won Ju City. To assess the environmental impact of its construction, we examined the current status of air quality in the selected candidate sites and predicted the extent of air quality change upon its operation through modification of stack type. If the stack height is assumed to be 70 m, the concentrations of $SO_2$ and dioxin in the surrounding area were predicted to increase by 0.05 ppb and 0.09 pg/$m^3$, respectively. The impact of its operation was assessed and compared among different sites. According to this analysis, more impact was expected from the residential area for the Dan-Gye site than from agricultural areas of the Kwan-Sul and Sa-Je site.

This study aims to suggest a fundamental directions and models of school construction for 21st century. According to the changing educational situation(the 7th national curriculum), it examined the scholarly foundations(historical-philosophical, teaching-learning theoretical, and socio-economical foundation) of school construction. As a result, it suggest a general three models as follows : (1) intelligent school building, (2) community education center, (3) and ecological environment school.

This study analyzed the spatial hierarchy of Hyangkyo architecture. Hyangkyo was built on the basis of Confucianism. The results are as follows; 1) The spatial hierarchical construction responding to the site. The arrangement style of hierarchical construction changed according to the site. This is the reason that the hierarchy of Confucianism has the relationship of the upper class and the lower class, high and low of position, high of right and low of left, and the theory of division based on topography. 2) The hierarchical construction responding to the arrangement style. Buildings were hierarchically constructed according to the site of the architecture. This is the result of hierarchy. In conclusion, the spatial hierarchy means that Hyangkyo architecture had been built according to an order on the basis of Confucianism.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the plan formation for university dormitory's living unit by the modular unit of the pre-fabricated architecture, Pursuing this, this study conducts the investigation of present domestic situation of prefabricated construction and practices plan formation for living unit concentrating on the dweller's satisfaction by solving the problems which hitherto constructed dormitory had, especially collapse of dweller's territoriality. Consequently, this study presents the feasibility of modular unit of present prefabricated construction as a new method of dormitory's living unit construction, and suggests the pertinent plan formation for the improvement of the dweller's territoriality.

The object of this study is to propose the simplified power demand control system which is appliable to existing buildings or new buildings. Through the technical survey and power demand analysis in office buildings, the electric facilities which can be controlled are selected. Power demand control program can be controlled the electric facilities in order, and displayed the facility operation state. The proposed power demand control system is cost-effective and flexibly adoptable in system upgrade or retrofit.
