Using the results of this study, it will improve to understand sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Methods In Lee Je-Ma's writings - GaboGubon ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ and ShinChukbon ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$-, I analysis that one's constitutional medicine can be used as another's medicine. 3. Results and conclusions 1) In early stages of Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are several cases that one's constitutional medicines could be used as another's. But as days goes by, there are lesser cases that one's constitutional medicines could be used as another's. 2) In Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are few mixing of medicines with other constitutions. But, that have no fIxed standards such as book kind, constitution and others. 3) In Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are some mixing of medicine with other constitutions in cases of imperfections, experiences and modifications. 4) In Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are not permissions mixing of medicine with other constitutions in cases of side effects, obstructions and efficiencies.

  • Background: In contrast to the increased interest in constitutional medicine evidenced by clinical experiences, there has been no theoretical or mathematical analysis on the stability or number of constitutional types. Objectives: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the stability of possible constitutional types and to find stable constitutional types based on imbalanced structure of five energy elements using mathematical analysis. Methods: For the 120 constitutional types which are possible by the imbalanced combination of five energy elements, vitality, stability and continuity were evaluated mathematically based on mutual activation and suppression between the five energy elements. Results: 10 constitutional types were derived. They had the highest vitality and stability, and they had permanent continuity, never changing their order of imbalanced structure. Conclusions: 10 constitutional types are logical and most reasonable when we classify the body types based on imbalanced structure of five energy elements.

  • 1. Objectives This article is about how we can make use of acupuncture and apply meridians in sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Methods We made several studies of acupuncture in sasang constitutional medicine and explored the development course of meridian. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) Meridians were set up by our understanding of human bodies. 2) We cannot make a use of acupuncture and meridians exactly if we don't confirm a usage of 12 meridians. 3) We need many tries of using meridians in other way. Meridians can be used not only treatment but also diagnosis in sasang constitutional medicine.
