유도결합 플라즈마 스퍼터링을 이용한 플라스틱 기판 상의 Al이 도핑된 ZnO 박막 증착 (Deposition of Al Doped ZnO Films Using ICP-assisted Sputtering on the Plastic Substrate)

  • Al-doped ZnO (AZO) films were deposited on the plastic substrate by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) assisted DC magnetron sputtering. The AZO films were produced by sputtering a metallic target (Zn/Al) in a mixture of argon and oxygen gases. AZO films with an electrical resistivity of ${\sim}10^3\;{\Omega}cm$ and an optical transmittance of 80% were obtained even at a low deposition temperature. In-situ process control methods were used to obtain stable deposition conditions in the transition region without any hysteresis effect. The target voltage was controlled either at a constant DC power. It was found that the ratio of the zinc to oxygen emission intensity, I (O 777)/I (Zn 481) decreased with increasing the target voltage in the transition region. The $Ar/O_2$ plasma treatment improve the adhesion strength between the polycarbonate substrate and AZO films.

  • 본 논문에서는 신재생 에너지원인 태양광 발전을 위한 3상 인버터의 전력변환기술을 연구하였다. 태양광 인버터로는 정전압 공급 방식의 전압형 인버터, 제어기법으로는 SPWM 제어기법이 채택되었다. 태양광 인버터의 SPWM 제어기로는 강력한 고속 데이터 연산능력을 가지는 DSP가 채택되었으며, 배터리의 충전에 일정량의 전류를 공급하기 위해서 태양광 컨트롤러가 사용되었다. 끝으로, DSP를 주제어장치로 하는 소용량 3상 태양광 인버터 시스템이 시험, 제작되었으며, 실험을 통해서 SPWM 기반의 전력변환기능이 검증되었다.

건물예냉과 실내온도의 선형상승에 의한 피크냉방수요 저감 (Reducing Peak Cooling Demand Using Building Precooling and Modified Linear Rise of Indoor Space Temperature)

  • The paper describes development and evaluation of a simple method for determining gradient of modified linear setpoint variation to reduce peak electrical cooling demand in buildings using building precooling and setpoint adjustment. The method is an approximated approach for minimizing electrical cooling demand during occupied period in buildings and involves modified linear adjustment of cooling setpoint temperature between $26^{\circ}C$ and $28^{\circ}C$. The gradient of linear variation or final time of linear increase is determined based on the cooling load shape in conventional cooling control having a constant setpoint temperature. The potential to reduce peak cooling demand using the simple method was evaluated through building simulation for a calibrated office building model considering four different weather conditions. The simple method showed about 30% and 20% in terms of reducing peak cooling demand and chiller power consumption, respectively, compared to the conventional control.

새로운 스위치 패턴을 적용한 전류원을 갖는 DC/DC 컨버터 (The DC/DC Converter having the current source applying the new switching pattern)

  • As the high-level of the industrial and information age, the electricity become the indispensable element in the daily life including OA, FA, and computer, electric home appliances, and etc. In particular, The continuous use of the high capacity power supply system by applying a Switching Mode Power Supply(SMPS) according to the increase of the secondary side output terminal of the power load of the refrigerator of the home appliance or automation of the plant is pressed. The purpose using the way with this kind of high-capacity altogether is to supply the output voltage and output current regardless of the input voltage or to the external environmental conditions of the secondary-side load fluctuation. In this paper, a combination of a Buck Converter with Boost Converter by making a constant current source to control the inductor current and maintain stable power supply side operating characteristics, when load variations. While maintaining the same characteristics as conventional Buck Converter, and offer a DC-DC Converter system with the new switch pattern having a wide output range capable of operating in Buck-Boost Converter. In addition, after theoretical analysis, we carry out simulations and experiments to verify the validity and performance comparing with a conventional DC-to-DC converter.

소비전력 최소화를 위한 빅데이터 환경에서의 공간기반 에너지 관리 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study for Space-based Energy Management System to Minimizing Power Consumption in the Big Data Environments)

  • 본 논문은 각종 센서와 관리자 등을 통해 온도와 조도를 측정하여 전력량을 모니터링하며 제어하고 있는 공장용 에너지관리시스템(FEMS, Factory Energy Management System), 빌딩용 에너지관리시스템(BEMS, Building Energy Management System), 주택용 에너지관리시스템(HEMS, Home Energy Management System)등으로 크게 나누어지는 기존의 에너지관리시스템(EMS : Energy Management System)에서 사용하고 있는 각종 센서 정보들을 포함한 수집 가능한 빅 데이터를 활용하여 본 논문에서 제안하는 공간 기반 에너지관리시스템(SEMS, Space-based Energy Management System)의 추론엔진을 통해 일정한 크기와 유사한 특성을 가진 단위 공간을 정의하고 에너지를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 공간의 크기나 특성에 따라서 SEMS의 추론엔진의 Self-Learning을 통해 추론엔진 자신이 학습을 통해 점차 스마트하게 진화하면서, 사용되는 전력량을 절감하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

수력 원통형 터빈 가이드 베어링의 저부하/저편심 성능향상 설계 - 패드 선단 테이퍼의 도입 (Low-Load/Low-Eccentricity Performance Improvement Designs for Hydro Power Application of Cylindrical Turbine Guide Bearings - Introduction of Pad Leading-Edge Tapers)

  • In vertical hydro/hydraulic power turbine-generator applications, traditionally, cylindrical turbine guide bearings (TGBs) are widely used to provide turbine runner shafts with smooth rotation guides and supports. All existing cylindrical TGBs with simple plain pads have drawbacks such as having no pressure generation and film stiffness at the no-load condition and in addition, at the low-load/low-eccentricity condition, having very low film stiffness values and lacking design credibility in the stiffness values themselves. In this paper, in order to fundamentally improve the low-load/low-eccentricity performance of conventional cylindrical TGBs and thus enhance their design-application availability and usefulness, we propose to introduce a rotation-directional leading-edge taper to each partitioned pad, i.e., a pad leading-edge taper. We perform a design analysis of lubrication performance on $4-Pad{\times}4-Row$ cylindrical TGBs to verify an engineering/technical usefulness of the proposed pad leading-edge taper. Analysis results show that by introducing the leading-edge taper to each pad of the cylindrical TGB one can expect a constant high average direct stiffness with a high degree of design credibility, regardless of load value, even at the low-load/low-eccentricity condition and also control the average direct stiffness value by exploring the taper height as a design parameter. Therefore, we conclude that the proposed pad leading-edge tapers are greatly effective in more accurately predicting and controlling rotordynamic characteristics of vertical hydro-power turbine-generator rotor-bearing systems to which cylindrical TGBs are applied.

Development and Testing of a Prototype Long Pulse Ion Source for the KSTAR Neutral Beam System

  • A prototype long pulse ion source was developed, and the beam extraction experiments of the ion source were carried out at the Neutral Beam Test Stand (NBTS) of the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR). The ion source consists of a magnetic bucket plasma generator, with multi-pole cusp fields, and a set of tetrode accelerators with circular apertures. Design requirements for the ion source were a 120kV/65A deuterium beam and a 300 s pulse length. Arc discharges of the plasma generator were controlled by using the emission-limited mode, in turn controlled by the applied heating voltage of the cathode filaments. Stable and efficient arc plasmas with a maximum arc power of 100 kW were produced using the constant power mode operation of an arc power supply. A maximum ion density of $8.3{\times}10^{11}\;cm^{-3}$ was obtained by using electrostatic probes, and an optimum arc efficiency of 0.46 A/kW was estimated. The accelerating and decelerating voltages were applied repeatedly, using the re-triggering mode operation of the high voltage switches during a beam pulse, when beam disruptions occurred. The decelerating voltage was always applied prior to the accelerating voltage, to suppress effectively the back-streaming electrons produced at the time of an initial beam formation, by the pre-programmed fast-switch control system. A maximum beam power of 0.9 MW (i.e. $70\;kV{\times}12.5\;A$) with hydrogen was measured for a pulse duration of 0.8 s. Optimum beam perveance, deduced from the ratio of the gradient grid current to the total beam current, was $0.7\;{\mu}perv$. Stable beams for a long pulse duration of $5{\sim}10\;s$ were tested at low accelerating voltages.

유전재료와 후면전극에 따른 저전력 소비형 AC Powder EL 소자 제조 및 광전기적 특성 (Preparation and Optoelectric Characteristics of Low Power Consumption Type AC Powder EL Devices with Dielectrics and Rear Contact)

  • AC powder EL 소자를 절연층의 유전재료와 후면전극의 전기비저항을 변화시켜 스크린 프린팅법으로 제조하였다. 제조된 소자의 광전기적 특성을 평가하기 위하여 인가 전압은 50∼300 $V_{rms}$까지 변화시켜 휘도 및 전류밀도를 측정하였다. 주파수 및 전압공급원은 정현파 발생 장치로서 frequency generator를 이용하였다. 휘도는 luminometer 의해 측정되었으며 전류밀도 측정을 위하여 multimeter를 사용하였다. 또한 유전층에 대한 유전율을 후막 제조 후 impedance analyser(HP 4194 A)를 이용하여 측정하였다. $TiO_2$ 분말을 $BaTiO_3$에 첨가함에 따라 유전율의 향상으로 초저가형 AC powder EL 소자의 유전층에 적용함으로써 거의 비슷한 전류밀도 하에 50 cd/$m^2$ 정도의 향상된 휘도를 얻을 수 있었다. 저전력 소모형 AC powder EL 소자의 유전층에 적용시 상용분말을 이용한 경우보다 용액 연소법에 의해 제조된 $BaTiO_3$ 분말을 이용한 경우가 더욱 향상된 85 cd/$m^2$ 정도의 휘도를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 후면전극의 전기 비저항을 조절함으로써 AC powder EL 소자의 휘도는 비교적 감소하지만 전류밀도를 낮출 수 있었다.

압전 밸브용 압력 레귤레이터 (Pressure Regulator for Piezoelectric Valve)

  • The pressure regulator which is used for controlling the reducing pressure in the piezoelectrically driven pneumatic valve has been studied. The pneumatic valve of this study object is 2-stage type and consists of a piezoelectric actuator, a controller, a poppet valve and a pressure regulator. Nominal flow of 50 lpm, maximum operating pressure of 0.9MPa and frequency characteristic of 10Hz and over are required in this pneumatic valve, but the pressure regulator is needed because piezoelectric actuator has no ability to control the pressure of 0.9MPa directly. In this study, bimorph type PZT actuator of $25.2mm(L){\times}7.2mm(W){\times}0.5mm(H)$ with constant of $-220{\times}10-12$ CN-1 was proposed and investigated. Maximum operating force of 0.052 N and maximum displacement of $63{\mu}m$ were gotten from the fabricated PZT actuator. From the analysis results, the orifice diameter of 0.6mm for a piezoelectric actuator was derived and then the pressure regulator which can be operated under 0.15 MPa easily was designed and manufactured. Performance and effects of design parameters were simulated by the Simulink of Matlab software, and it was confirmed that the performance characteristics of manufactured pressure regulator are superior in the common use pressure range of 0.5 MPa to 0.7 MPa. The results show that the proposed pressure regulator is suitable for the pneumatic valve with a PZT actuator.

DSP를 이용한 Switched Reluctance Motor의 디지털 제어기에 관한 연구 (A Research on the Digital Controller of Switched Reluctance Motor Using DSP)

  • 본 논문은 자기적 비선형성과 상간의 토오크중첩을 고려하여 맥동토오크를 최소화시킬 수 있는 제어기법을 제시하고 이를 DSP를 이용하여 구현한 SRM의 구동시스템에 대하여 기술하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 몇 단계의 상전류 크기에 대한 회전자 위치별 인덕턴스값과 발생토오크의 크기를 실측한 후 이들 대표값으로부터 신경회로망을 사용하여 제어에 필요한 충분히 정밀한 값들을 추론한다. 또한 각 상간의 토오크중첩을 고려하여 총합 발생토오크의 맥동성분의 최소화되도록 상별 지령토오크 파형을 설정한다. 회전자위치와 상전류를 검출하고, 이 검출값과 추론된 토오크데이터를 이용하여 구한 토오크 값이 지령토오크를 추종하도록 델타변조기법에 의한 제어기를 구성한다. 이러한 제어방식을 실시간으로 처리하고, 제어기의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 DSP를 사용하였다.
