Although a generation-related difference in nutrient and food-group intake has been broadly recognized in the Japanese population, few studies have examined the difference and correlation of intakes with consideration of a family line and co-habitation status. We conducted a dietary survey using female college students in dietetic course in Aichi, Japan, and their mothers and grandmothers. A validated self-administered diet history questionnaire was used for assessment of intakes. Data from 110 families were included in the analysis. The means of 13 nutrients and 10 food groups (of the 15 and 14, respectively) showed significant differences among the three generations. A significant difference was observed in the carbohydrate, protein, saturated fatty acid, cholesterol, and fish intakes between the students living with their mothers and those apart. In the correlation analyses between generations, moderate correlation was observed for most nutrients and food groups between the students and their mothers living together (correlation range = 0.30-0.61 for nutrients, and = 0.21 -0.56 for food groups). A wide variation with no consistency was observed for the correlation between the students and their grandmothers (-0.18 -0.59 and -0.33 -0.65, respectively), No meaningful correlation was observed between any two generations living apart. Among the food groups examined, pulses, fish, and vegetables showed relatively large differences for the correlation between two groups with different living conditions. When living together, the correlation coefficients for nutrients and food groups between the students and their mothers decreased according to the increase in frequency of eating out by the students. These results suggest that living together and eating together were an important factor for the resemblance in dietary habits between generations in the population with a marked generation-related difference in intakes. The purpose of this study is to introduce the concept of community resilience to rural society and build an index suitable for the reality of rural areas. Furthermore, by calculating the importance of evaluation factors, it was attempted to present priorities and alternatives for each evaluation factor. By stratifying the derived indicators, a survey was conducted targeting 20 researchers, practitioners, and public officials, three groups of experts working in rural areas who were well aware of the realities and problems of rural areas. In the survey, a pairwise comparison was performed to compare factors 1:1 to calculate the importance, and for rational and consistent decision-making, decisions were made in the 9-grade section. Using the collected data, consistency analysis that can evaluate reliability in the decision-making process and the relative weight of evaluation factors were calculated through AHP analysis. As a result of the analysis, as a result of examining the priority of final importance by summarizing the importance of all evaluation factors, 'Income creation using resources' > 'Population Characteristics' > 'Tolerance' > 'External Support' > 'Social Accessibility' > 'Physical Accessibility' > 'Community Competence' > 'Infrastructure' > 'Leader Competence' > 'Natural Environment' was derived in the order. In the study dealing with urban community resilience indicators, social aspects such as citizen participation, public-private cooperation, and governance were presented as the most important requirements, but this study differs in that the 'income creation' factor is derived as the most important factor. This can be seen through the change in the income difference between rural and urban areas. The income structure of rural areas has changed rapidly, and it is now reaching a very poor level, so it is necessary to prepare alternatives to 'income creation' in the case of rural areas. Unlike urban indicators, 'population characteristics' and 'tolerance' were also derived as important indicators of rural society. However, there are currently no alternatives to supplement the vulnerability by strengthening the resilience of rural communities. Based on the priority indicators derived from the study, we tried to suggest alternatives necessary for rural continuity in the future so that they can be supplemented step by step.
Rapid loss in viability of neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) seed is a major problem. Present effort was undertaken for developing a set pattern for assessing of viability and vigour in seed of various mother tree age of neem (Age I-06 years, Age II-15 years, Age III-25 years and Age IV->30 years old). Various viability test viz. triphenyle tetrazolium chloride test, electrical conductivity, excised embryo test, and germination test have been performed on seeds obtained from mother tree age classes. Inconsistency was observed with the TTC and EC test in germination of seed in laboratory as well as nursery. While various vigour tests viz. cold test, chemical stress test (methanol stress test), and accelerated ageing test alongwith ageing index, germination test (G%, MGT and GV) and various seedling growth parameters like seedling length (cm), number of leaves, collar diameter (cm), total biomass (g) alongwith mathematical indices i.e. vigour index, sturdiness quotient, volume index, quality index, root shoot ratio in nursery as well have been taken for study and showed better consistency. On the basis present study results of various viability and vigour test indicated that mother tree age class II performed better in comparison to others and it can be recommended for seed collection. Further it is also recommended that viability of neem seed may be assessed using various laboratory tests like excise embryo test and germination test (G%, MGT and GV) and vigour test may be taken preferably by cold germination test, chemical (methanol) stress test, accelerated ageing test in laboratory and germination alongwith various seedling growth parameters seedling length (cm), number of leaves, collar diameter (cm), total biomass (g) alongwith mathematical indices like Vigour Index, Sturdiness quotient, Volume Index, Quality index, root shoot ratio in nursery as discussed in this study.

Purpose: In order to examine whether daily physical activity (DPA) can be considered the same as a regular exercise (RE) in patients with Heart Failure (HF), we examined the relationship between RE and DPA, and we explored the relationship of RE and DPA with exercise capacity and quality of life (QOL) in patients with HF. Methods: This cross-sectional, correlational study utilized pretest data (N=136) of a long-term intervention study. Data of the parent study were collected from May 1st to September 26th, 2013. Measures included questions about regular exercise, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, a 6-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), and the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ). The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, Chi-square test, and ANOVA using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: There were inconsistencies in measures between RE and DPA. About 42.0% of the participants engaging in health enhancing physical activity did not consider themselves to be regular exercisers. Depending on the levels of RE and DPA, significant differences in 6MWT and QOL were observed. Conclusion: RE is more likely to be related to the health status of patients with HF. Deliberate assessment and cautious interpretation of DPA in patients with HF is needed.
Objectives: Busan had the highest mortality and the shortest life expectancy at birth among 16 provinces in Korea in 2008 and there were considerable health inequalities within the region. This study was performed to build up a priority setting framework in Healthy City Busan project. Methods: Analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the relative priority weight for different strategic and program dimensions along with the consistency of response. An on-site workshop-based meeting (calculating importance) and online survey (calculating risk) were conducted to obtain data from 8 experts. Results: The results showed that in strategic criteria "active health promotion & diseases prevention" and "building infrastructure for the Health City project" were two most important factors. In program criteria, considering both importance and risk scores, "making a healthy community" and "building community health centers" in disadvantaged areas were a top priority group. In addition, "enacting an ordinance for the Healthy City", "building the infrastructure for health impact assessment" and "making health care safety net for vulnerable population" were also higher priorities group. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that the Healthy City project in Busan should be focused on strengthening health equity and building infrastructure for sustainability of the project.

The rebound hammer test and the measurement of ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV) have been widely used for the physical properties & condition evaluation of reinforced & prestressed concrete structures for a long time, but the acoustoelastic effects by the prestressing in the prestressed concrete structures on the rebound number and ultrasonic pulse velocity have not been studied clearly. Therefore, this study investigated the data distribution of the rebound numbers and ultrasonic pulse velocities in reinforced and prestressed concrete slabs of $3000{\times}3000mm$ with a thickness of 250 mm. Also, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit test was done in order to identify statistical consistency and reliability. The statistical analysis results show that the rebound number and ultrasonic pulse velocities increased about 1.9% and 2.5%, respectively when prestressing was applied. As expected, the UPV shows better statistical reliability and potential for in situ evaluation than the RB because the RB are more sensitive to testing posture, surface condition, temperature and humidity so on. The experimental data in this study can be used for the condition assessment of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures by the rebound number and ultrasonic pulse velocity.

Background: Cancer is a worldwide health problem and pain is among the most common and unpleasant effects affecting well-being of cancer patients. Accurate description of pain can help physicians to improve its management. Many English tools have been developed to assess pain. Onkly a limited number of these are applied in Arab countries. Our aim was to assess the quality, the nature and the severity of pain using the short McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) on cancer patients in the National Institute of Oncology (NIO) in Rabat, Morocco. Materials and Methods: The tool used is the SF-MPQ inspired from the Arabic version of the MPQ. The subjects were cancer patients (N=182) attending the NIO, from 24th October 2015 to 8th January 2016, aging ${\geq}18$ years old, experiencing pain and coming to have or to update their pain medication. Results: The rate of participation was 96.3%. Eight patients had difficulties to express their pain using descriptors, but could use the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the body diagram. The most frequent sensory descriptors were 'Throbbing', 'Shooting', 'Hot-Burning'. The most used affective descriptor was 'Tiring-Exhausting'. The mean VAS was 6.6 (2.4). The mean score of all items was 11.9 (7.8). The patients were suffering from severe pain. The internal consistency of the form was s acceptable. Conclusions: The findings indicate that most of the patients attending the pain center of the NIO could use the descriptors of the SF-MPQ to describe their pain. They indicate the usefulness of the SF-MPQ to assess the nature and the severity of pain in cancer patients. This tool should be tested in other Moroccan and Arabic contexts associated with other tools in clinical trials.
Purpose: High intake of cholesterol leads to cardiovascular disruption. Estimating the actual intake of cholesterol can be beneficial for nutrition intervention. This research aimed to develop Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) to estimate cholesterol intake and analyze its reliability and validity. Methods: SQ-FFQ was developed by sorting high cholesterol food items in Indonesian food database and food items' availability. A total of 30 older adults were randomly chosen from Public Health Center in Jagir District, Surabaya, Indonesia to test its validity. Reliability test was done by measuring the same developed SQ-FFQ in one-month period, while validity test was done by comparing SQ-FFQ results with 6-days food record. Statistical analysis used for reliability test was paired t-test, the Intra-class Correlation Coefficient (ICC), and Cronbach's α to measure the internal consistency. Meanwhile, validity of developed SQ-FFQ was analyzed using paired t-test and Bland-Altman. Results: Reliability of 2 administered SQ-FFQs showed a good agreement based on paired t-test analysis (p = 0.200), ICC (0.609), and Cronbach's α (0.757). Strong agreement was found in most of food items, but agreements for egg yolk and fried duck were poor. Significant difference was found between those food items (p = 0.001 vs. p < 0.001, respectively) with mean difference were -25.3 mg and 46.2 mg. Validity of developed SQ-FFQ2 compared to 6-days food diary records also found a strong agreement based on paired t-test and the Bland-Altman analysis. Conclusion: This baseline research provides a reasonably valid and repeatable measure of cholesterol intake estimation that can be widely used in nutrition and public health study, especially in Indonesia. No study has been conducted in Indonesia on the development of tools to estimate the cholesterol intake.

The Natural Landscape Rating System was introduced in the amendment of the NATURAL ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION ACT in 2006. For landscape preservation, the system aims to consider the effects of development projects or plans implemented in a natural landscape on skylines, scenic resources, and view corridors. Currently, a lack of consistency in standards for determining Landscape Control Points (LCP) to assess landscape impact lowers the accuracy and reliability of the assessment results. As the perception of and the impact on a landscape varies, depending on the location of the LCP, it is necessary to establish a reasonable set of criteria to select viewpoints and avoid unreliability in the assessment due to unclear criteria. The intent of this study is to propose an objective and reasonable set of criteria for LCP selection to effectively measure the impact on the landscape from development projects that anticipate a change in the landscape and, ultimately, to suggest basic analysis methods to assess the landscape impact of development projects and to monitor the landscape in the future. Among the development projects affecting natural landscapes, as reported in the statement of the environmental impact assessment, cases of construction of a single building or other small-scale development projects were studied. Four spot development projects were analyzed in depth for their landscape impacts, in order to make recommendations for the LCP selection procedure, which aims to widen the scope of selection according to the direction of viewpoints from the target site. The existing results of analysis based on LCP have limitations because they failed to cover the viewshed of the target buildings when there are topographical changes in the surroundings. As a solution to this problem, a new viewshed analysis method has been proposed, with a focus on the development site and target buildings, rather than viewpoints, as used in past analysis.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was investigate the relationships among perceived social support, instrumental support needs, and depression of healthy, community dwelling elderly women. Method: This study was designed to examine whether the perceived social support and instrumental support were correlated with depression in elderly women. Data were cross-sectional and community-dwelling elderly individuals. The subject was 98 elderly women recruited from Elderly Welfare Center and Community center for Elderly. The instruments for this study were Personal Resource Questionnaire-part II, Geriatric Depression Scale (Short Form), and Instrumental Support Activities Checklist. Data were gathered by means of structured personal interviews. The internal consistency of the instruments was relatively good. Result: The participants' perceived social support was moderately high and instrumental support needs was low. Depression was mild and moderate relatively. The correlation analysis showed that the perceived social support was negatively related to depression and negatively related with instrumental support needs. Conclusion: The findings suggested that more perceived social support, less their depressive symptom in elderly women. It also revealed that the age, marital status, and socioeconomic status of elderly women also are important indicator of the elderly depression. Therefore nursing assessment and the design of intervention that incorporate the determinants supported in this study, such as perceived social support of the elderly women are needed in adopting and maintain health promoting lifestyle for the mental health and effective functioning in later life in women.
