Effective BuOH fraction was extracted from Puerariae radix (Pueraria thunbergiana), and several pharmacological activities were examined. From several pharmacological examinations, it was found that BuOH fraction has an antipyretic activity against typhoid vaccine pyrexia in rabbit, a papaverine-like antispasmodic activity on isolated ileum and jejunum of rat, an analgesic effects on mice treated by 0.7% HAc, and an anti-inflammatory activity of carrageenin edema in rat. It was found that BuOH fraction has detoxication effects on acute and subacute toxic rat induced by alcohol in consequence of biochemical tests of serum. Therefore it was considered that BuOH fraction has preventive and therapeutic effects in alcohol intoxication.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the superstability of the pexider type sine(hyperbolic sine) functional equation $f(\frac{x+y}{2})^{2}-f(\frac{x+{\sigma}y}{2})^{2}={\lambda}g(x)h(y),\;{\lambda}:\;constant$ which is bounded by the unknown functions ${\varphi}(x)$ or ${\varphi}(y)$. As a consequence, we have generalized the stability results for the sine functional equation by P. M. Cholewa, R. Badora, R. Ger, and G. H. Kim.

Cosmology considers the Hubble redshift of galaxy light by the Doppler effect as proof the Universe has been expanding since the Big Bang. However, cosmic dust that permeates the Universe also redshifts galaxy light that if not corrected over-predicts the velocities of all astronomical measurements inferred by the Doppler effect. Hubble redshifts corrected for cosmic dust suggest the Universe may not be expanding, the consequence of which may allow the outstanding problems in cosmology to possibly be resolved by Newtonian mechanics.

In this paper, we obtain an explicit formula of the Laplace transform of the forward recurrence time at finite time t > 0 in an alternating renewal process, by adopting a Markovian approach. As a consequence, we obtain the first two moments of the forward recurrence time.

For the unconfined vapor cloud explosion accident by the continuous release of gas-liquid flow of various saturated liquids in a vessel at ground level, overpressures were estimated and analyzed with various release conditions and materials by TNT equivalency model with vapor dispersion. We found that at same release conditions, overpressure showed n-heptane > xylene > n-hexane > toluene > n-heptane > benzene, respectively and that overpressure was increased with increasing the hole diameter and the storage pressure, but it was increased with decreasing the wind speed, the interested distance, and the vessel thickness.

The condition of a transport infrastructure and its possibility in sphere of maintenance of national participants of foreign trade are reflected in many respects on competitiveness of production, made by them, in the world market and, as consequence, on a country role in economic.

In the paper, a new design method of rule-based fuzzy modeling is proposed for model identification of nonlinear systems. The structure indentification is carried out, utilizing fuzzy c-means clustering. Fuzzy-neural networks composed back-propagation algorithm and linear fuzzy inference method, are used to identify parameters of the premise and consequence parts. To obtain optimal linguistic fuzzy implication rules, the learning rates and momentum coefficients are tuned automatically using a modified complex method.

Iron is an important micronutrient for plants. Iron metabolism is a complex mechanism under a delicate balance. Iron metabolism represents two major problems for plants: deficiency as a consequence of solubility problems and toxicity due to excess solubility in anaerobic conditions. In the last few years, new genes have been discovered that influence iron uptake, transport and storage. Irrigated rice is exposed to high levels of $Fe^{II}$, normally rare in aerobic soil conditions. The implications of altering iron uptake rates and the effects of newly discovered genes are discussed.

In this paper we investigate a generalization of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability for a functional equation of the form $f(\varphi(X))\;=\;\phi(X)f(X)$, where X lie in n-variables. As a consequence, we obtain a stability result in the sense of Hyers, Ulam, Rassias, and Gavruta for many other equations such as the gamma, beta, Schroder, iterative, and G-function type's equations.
