Since the Six Sigma strategy was first introduced to Motorola in 1987, it has been taken as an important business strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of leading companies in the global competitive environment. To keep growing and thriving, modern companies need to develop new businesses and find new applications while keeping existing ones on track. This situation necessitates a more effective way of discovering an optimal scenario in a business. In this paper, we propose a Business for Six Sigma (BFSS) road-map to create new businesses. BFSS consists of five macro phases: define, identify, analyze, evaluate, and implement. We also provide an example of F electronics, a Korean electronics component manufacturer, which actually applied the BFSS road-map to analyze marketability, technological plausibility and economic potential/success in connection with its new product development.

In this paper, we propose u-Learning management systems which are designed and implemented based on learning activities oriented components. The proposed systems are composed of components which can process the functionalities for coming into actions of learning activities. Specially, each component is broken into class units by which learning activities of users can be performed on various devices. When users by to connect the proposed learning management system, the system explores devices of users and the corresponding connection program, and then selects components that are fitted to the activities and combines them in a real-time. Our system provides u-Learning environment so that users can use the learning activity services taking no influence on time, place, various devices and programs. That is different from traditional e-Learning system which cannot support various devices of users directly.

Korea gas corporation (KOGAS) is responsible for the whole sale of natural gas in the domestic market. It is important to forecast the daily demand of city gas for supply and demand control, and delivery management. Since there is the autoregressive characteristic in the daily gas demand, we introduce a modified autoregressive model as the first step. The daily gas demand also has a close connection with the outdoor temperature. Accordingly, our second proposed model is a temperature-based model. Those two models, however, do not meet the requirement for forecasting performances. To produce acceptable forecasting performances, we develop a weighted average model which compounds the autoregressive model and the temperature model. To examine our proposed methods, the forecasting results are provided. We confirm that our method can forecast the daily city gas demand accurately with reasonable performances.

In the event of continued train operation being impossible as the result of a breakdown, it will be essential to dispatch a relief train to recover the broken down train. Operation of relief train carries with the risk of collision in the process of connection with broken down train. The present study looks at the suitability of risk management procedures and associated problems in the light of case studies of relief train operation, and of national legal standards and railroad company regulations. It looks at appropriate methods of risk management and the problems that can arise. Based on the study a method is proposed of operating the relief train which is consistent with appropriate risk management. The proposed method will improve the safety of relief train operation, It is hoped that the results of the study will be reflected in relevant laws and operating company regulations, and so contribute to enhancing the overall level of railroad safety.

본 연구는 새로운 지식정보자원으로 중요성이 높아지고 있는 데이터셋을 관리 서비스하기 위해 W3C 표준인 DCAT 활용방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 DCAT을 구성하는 8개의 클래스 중 핵심 클래스 4가지를 중심으로 클래스와 속성을 분석하였다. 또한 디지털도서관에서 DCAT을 기반으로 다양한 데이터셋을 관리 서비스할 수 있는 시스템을 모델링하여 제시하였다. 이 시스템은 원천데이터, 데이터셋 관리, 링크드 데이터 연결, 이용자 서비스로 구분하여 구성하였으며 특히 데이터셋관리에서는 DCAT 매핑 기능을 제시하여 다양한 데이터셋 서비스와 상호운용성 확보가 가능하도록 하였다.

Purpose: Strategic management research and findings are usually not focused on dealing with concrete instruments for measuring individual competencies. The presence of traditional human resources management instruments, which include the aspects of job analysis, selection training, and even development, has been used frequently for many years in organizations. This study aims to investigate the relationship between employee reading habits and their innovativeness. Research design, data and methodology: The research methodology applied in this case is qualitative research methods. It is a method that involves the collection of data from non-numerical formats. The technique helped in understanding the relationship that exists between the reading habits of the employees and the competencies of innovation. Results: The present researchers figured out the meaningful connection between the independent variable (Reading Habit and dependent variable (Innovative Competency), explaining 'The Reason Why Employees Should Read More Books' and 'How Organizations Promote the Reading Habits of Employees'. Conclusions: It is clear that with reading habits among employees, innovation is easily achieved since these employees know their goals, how to achieve these objectives and overcome any challenge that might hinder innovation. Organizational management should work towards fostering positive reading cultures among employees in organizations.

Purpose: This research aims to find the link between public service Distribution and individual job performance in the provincial municipality. Research design, data, and methodology: This is a quantitative approach study with a non-experimental and correlational design. The sample consisted of 140 employees appointed and hired by the provincial municipality of Huaraz. For data collection, Two questionnaires with an ordinal Likert-type scale and the Rho Spearman correlation coefficient were used to assess the link between the research variables., For Analysis: two questionnaires with an ordinal Likert-type scale and the Rho Spearman correlation coefficient were used to determine the connection between the research variables. Results: It was determined that both variables have a high degree of correlation (0.725), indicating a direct and significant relationship between the Distribution of public service and skill performance in the provincial municipality (0.614). Conclusion: Finally, this allows us to conclude that the institutional context is essential; that is, there is a significant correlation between the PSM and contextual performance in the provincial municipality of Huaraz, which has a Rho Spearman value of 0.723.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate a meaningful connection between the service supply chain and the power to influence potential customers for airline booking. This investigation will cover various topics, including customer service, product quality, and marketing strategies. Additionally, the literature review will examine the various strategies and tactics airlines use to influence customer behavior. Research design, data, and methodology: The data collection process conducted by the author could obtain the justification and establish the quality of the instrument between independent factor (Service Supply Chain) and dependent factor (Power to Influence Potential Customers), selecting peer-reviewed articles mostly for the current study. Results: The findings section thoroughly studied the research findings indicating a potential link between service supply chain management and the ability to persuade potential consumers to book an airline. The research findings will be explored concerning the numerous variables that may affect customers' decision-making in the airline business, the techniques used by airlines to sway consumers. Conclusions: The research has provided evidence that airlines use a variety of strategies to influence potential customers and that these strategies are generally successful in increasing customer loyalty and satisfaction, as well as sales. By utilizing these strategies, airlines can increase their customer base and profitability.

Purpose: This study is to propose the establishment and direction of a public health-medical cooperation system for rehabilitation medical services for people with physical and brain disabilities in Gangneung, Korea. Research design, data and methodology: The study focused on 30 individuals with these disabilities registered. Data was collected from December 20, 2021, to December 31, 2021, through structured surveys administered by researchers visiting disability-related facilities, utilizing convenience and random sampling methods. Descriptive statistics and cross-analysis were applied for analysis. Results: Specifically, among respondents with physical disabilities, a total of 20 needs were identified, with 'Visiting health services' (25.0%) and 'Oral health services' (20.0%) ranking highest. The survey results regarding visit-based rehabilitation services for disability support showed a high demand, emphasizing the necessity of service provision tailored to the needs of recipients, focusing on disability prevention, health management, and motor function recovery, rather than solely medical or therapeutic concepts. Conclusions: Gangwon National University Hospital, as the regional referral hospital in Gangwon, should collaborate with Gangwon Province Rehabilitation Hospital to provide prompt acute rehabilitation services. Moreover, cooperation and collaboration with Gangneung Asan Hospital, the tertiary hospital in the region, are essential to ensure continued acute and recovery phase rehabilitation therapy for a certain period in the Gangneung area.

기업이 보유하고 있는 내부 정보를 언제 어디서나 직원들에게 제공할 수 있도록 지원해주는 모바일 컴퓨팅 환경은 업무 생산성을 향상시키고 효율성 증대를 가져다 주기 때문에 기업의 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 피할 수 없는 생존 도구가 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 모바일 비즈니스 개념을 기반으로 무선 네트워크와 PDA를 활용하여 언제 어디서나 쉽고 편리하게 ERP정보를 실시간으로 처리할 수 있는 모형을 제 안하고, 그것의 활용을 통해 기업의 경쟁력을 향상시킬 수 있는 기본 틀을 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 ERP시스템을 운영하고 있는 기업의 자재관리업무에 본 모형을 적용하여 "모바일을 활용한 자재관리시스템"을 구축하였다. 연구결과, 모바일을 기반으로 한 ERP시스템의 적절한 활용은 업무리드타임을 단축시키고 생산성의 극대화를 가져다주며, 사용의 편이성과 이동성 제공으로 인해 사용자 만족도 또한 향상시킬 수 있는것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 시장의 변화와 고객의 요구에 대한 효과적인 대응뿐만 아니라 e-비즈니스 환경에 적합한 모델을 구축하기 위한 ERP전략 수립과 그 확장에 필요한 핵심 기반을 기업들에게 제공할 수 있을 것으로 보여진다.
