  • The conformance test is a methodology which verifies whether the Implementation Under Test (IUT) conforms to its standard specification or not. In this paper, first, the Conformance Test System(CTS) is implemented in prototype including verification test type, black-box test strategy, conformance test class, remote test structure, and IUT which is described by the ISO Estelle among Formal Description Techniques. Second, through this prototype the proposed system is experimented. The prototype is composed of two modules. The first module is the Estelle-to-Pascal preprocessor which converts the Estelle program to the corresponding Pascal program because the experimental IUT was described using the unexecutable code form of Estelle before being tested by the TD(Test Driver). The TD, the second module, is based on the master-slave concept and plays important role is CTS. The TD acts as the master with the IUTd being the slave. The prototype system is implemented using Turbo-C, Turbo-Pascal and Turbo-Assembly.

  • Automation of production in modern manufacturing is based on the integration of the various stage of production process by means of processing system. Information processing and network interface are of fundamental importance in programmable device in industrial automation, as they essential in order to active integration in production lines. In this paper, TBC(token bus controller) in the Mini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer, The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation MAP 3.0 All the softwares are implemented under the real time executive for real time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token bus protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between a model system(including NIU) and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance the conformance test based on measurement method of network analysis.

  • This paper describes implemation of 'General-purpose ETRI MAP interface module' (GEM) for Mini-MAP network. GEM operates as a Mini-MAP node in our FA system. To communicate between GEM and programmable devices(PD) such as PLC and CNC, serial communication is used. Application programs of a MiNi-MAP host system control and monitor programmable devices via GEM. GEM is implemented and tested on the basis of the MAP 3.0. TBC in the Nini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer. The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation class MAP3. All the softwares are implemented under the real-time multitask OS for real-time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board of GEM. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token-passing protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between GEM and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance test. Therefore GEM is proposed as a network tool of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) to integrate PDs which don't support MAP functions.

  • During system resource improvement process that based on Object-Oriented technology could be affect to the continuous system performance if lack appropriate management and control objects mechanism. This paper proposes a methodology to support continuous system performance and its stability. The adoption is based on Java Container Framework and Collections Framework for object collection. Also includes Software Engineering, Object Migration and Multiple Class Loaders mechanism accommodate to construct Continuous Migration Container (CMC). CMC is a runtime environment provides interfaces for management and control to support upgrading object process. Upgrade object methodology of CMC can be divided into two phase are object equivalence checking and object migration process. Object equivalence checking include object behavior verification and functional conformance verification before object migration process. In addition, CMC use Multiple Class Loaders mechanism to support reload effected classes instead of state transfer in migration process while upgrading object. These operations are crucial for system stability and enhancement efficiency.

  • Due to the increasing amount of electronic control system in a vehicle, the automotive software is increasingly sophisticated and complicated. Therefore it may be faced a time critical problem caused by its complexity. In order to solve such problems, the automotive electronic system can use a real-time scheduling mechanism based on predictability. We first consider the standard specification of the AUTOSAR OS and uC/OS-II such as its scheduling theory with time determinism. In this paper, we propose the scheduling algorithm to be conformable to a conformance class of OSEK/VDX specification. Algorithm analysis shows that our scheduling algorithm outperforms an existing Trampoline OS by intuition.

  • The ship STEP is an international standard for the computer-interpretable representation of ship product information and for the exchange of ship product model data. The ship STEP consists of several APs(Application Protocol), such as AP215(ship arrangement), AP216(ship moulded form), AP218(ship structures), AP226(ship mechanical systems), and AP234(operating logs, records, message). The STEP AP216(ISO 10303) are an application protocol for the exchange of ship arrangement and ship moulded forms. The AP216 specifies the geometric shape and the hydrostatic properties of the ship moulded form. This paper introduces the state-of-the-art of ship STEP AP216 and develops the test case for the validation of data structure of AP216.

  • Starting with the meaning of the word quality, diverse concepts connoted by the term are examined. Instead of a bathtub curve, the desirable shape of a failure rate covering the entire life of a good product, which might be called hockey-stick line, is introduced. From the hockey-stick line and the definition of reliability, two measurements are extracted. The terms reliability, failure rate, product life, and durability are explained. From the customer's standpoint, the concept of product quality is classified in five factors, according to related technology: performance, reliability, conformance to specifications, customer perception, and fundamentals advantage. The correlation of the five factors for a first-class product is discussed, Since the market share of a company is determined as the competition result of its product value, defined as product quality and price, the market share increase is derived mathematically from the increment of product value. The market share increase, $\Delta$S, can be calculated from the present market share, S, and the oriented relative value increment of new product, R, to the current product in the same company for the same market target: $\Delta$S : $\Delta$(1-S). R/(1+S.R). Finally, the importance of separating warranty cost from the profit equation for the durables is explained.

  • In this paper, we propose a development methodology based on the component architecture to develop the LMS that follows ADL's SCORM standard, which is interested internally and externally in the e-learning contents standardization research. In like manner, we designed the SCORM core module and implemented the EJB component based on J2EE through the sugested methodology for the conversion of SCORM Conformance LMS, from iOneLMS which was developed based on distributed object component like JSP, EJB, etc. The SCORM component modules were implemented by three modules - content importing, course registering, and taking course and gathering the learning data. In the process of implementation, we used the part of the class library that was supported by the ADL and AICC again.

  • This paper extends TTCN, a conformance test notation, using object oriented concepts including object, class and inheritance. In distributed system environments, since test systems that should test the implementations for application protocols whether they conform to the standard protocol include protocol test behaviours executed in parallel, the converntional TTCN can't describe whole thest suites explicitly. ISO is working the extension of TTCN including parallel notations, but concurrently if TTCN could be applied by the object model that regards a parallel test component as a object, we would gain the advantages of reliability and software reusability, and make TTCN a test language.

  • Three decades after its establishment in 1946, Seoul National University was transferred to its current location in Gwan-ak District in accordance with the Seoul National University Integration Plan. In the 40 years since Seoul National University transferred to the Gwan-ak area, much quantitative and qualitative growth has taken place, and the university has grown into a world-class research institution. In this process, the campus was expanded externally and internally, and many changes have been made to the campus life bases and facilities which were planned at the beginning of the campus' construction. This study examines the expansion of the facilities at Seoul National University's Gwan-ak campus, as well as the expansion of the campus' boundaries. In addition, through quantitative analysis (Space Syntax), we predicted the location of campus life bases of the present multi-centralized campus and suggested a future developmental direction for the campus.
