Many electronic ballasts for low pressure discharge lamps as fluorescent lamps are produced and commercialized. However, the electronic ballasts for high pressure lamps are now in progress to because of poor reliability and high cost of production. To obtain the confidence of electronic ballasts, it is necessary to prolong the life time of output switches. A variable frequency driver for inverter switches that can control the magnitude of output current with temperature of switches was designed and simulated. A conditions for circuit design are 22kHz : standard frequency, $100^{\circ}C$: standard temperature, $I_{peak}$ : 0.76A, and $V_{peak}$ : 184V, respectively. By simulation, as the temperature exceed a standard temperature, the frequency was increased up to 40kHz. However, the current and voltage that flow through switchs were decreased to 0.507A and 121V at $150^{\circ}C$, respectively.

With the development of medical field, many kinds of operations have been performed on human articulation. Arthroscopic surgery, which has Irrigation Pumping System for security of operator vision and washing spaces of operation, has been used for more merits than others. In this paper, it is presented that the research on a reliable control algorithm of the pumping system instrument for arthroscopic surgery. Before clinical operation, the flexible artificial articulation model is used for realizing the model the most same as human's and the algorithm has been exploited for it. This system is considered of the following; limited sensing point, dynamic effect by compliance, time delay by fluid flow and so on. The system is composed with a pressure controller, a regulator for keeping air pressure, an airtight tank that can have distilled water packs, artificial articulation and a measuring system, and has controlled by the feedback of pressure sensor on the artificial articulation. Also the system has applied to Smith Predictor for time delay and the parameter estimation method for the most suitable system with both the experiment data and modeling. In this paper, the pressure error that is between an air pressure tank and an artificial articulation was measured so that the system could be presumed and then the controller had developed for performing State-Feedback. Finally, the controller with a real microprocessor has realized. The confidence of system can be proved by applying this control algorithm to an artificial articulation experiment material.

MAC(Mandatory Access Control)이나 MLS(Multi Level Security) 보안정책이 적용된 보안운영체제는 주체와 객체에 보안등급(Security Level)과 영역(Category) 값을 부여하고, 부여된 이들 정보에 의해 객체에 행해지는 주체의 접근을 제한한다. 하지만, 이러한 MAC과 MLS 보안이 적용된 경우라 하더라도 시스템의 보안정책을 위반하며 불법적 정보를 유통하게 하는 경로가 있을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 불법적 정보의 유통경로가 되고 있는 IPC(Inter Process Communication) 메커니즘과 스토리지에 의한 비밀채널을(Covert Channel) 문제 해결 위해 커널 수준의 설계와 구현을 시도하였다. IPC 메커니즘에 의한 불법적 정보흐름 제거를 위해 IPC 메커니즘에 MLS 보안정책을 적용하였고, 스토리지 비밀채널는 시스템 콜 명세를 분석하여 이를 식별, 감사, 지연처리가 가능토록 하였다.

This study confirms that a decadal variation of the SST (Sea Surface Temperature) in the WNP (Western North Pacific) has an influence on the genesis and passage ofa Tropical Cyclone. The decadal mode was obtained by calculating the SST anomaly on the domain $150^{\circ}E-190^{\circ}E$, and $5^{\circ}S-5^{\circ}N$. Such decadal variation was subsequently analyzed to confirm that it is a dominant mode in central Pacific region. Next, after classifying the years into relatively positive years and relatively negative years, the characteristics of Tropical Cyclone in each year, such as a genesis and passage frequency, were investigated. Compared to the relatively negative years, during the relatively positive years, the location of Tropical Cyclone genesis was biased toward South-Eastern region, while the characteristics of the cyclone were more distinct during late season of the year trom September to December than in mid season from June to August. Examining the movement passage through the observation of passage fiequency, there was a significant difference between positive year and negative year in their passages at a 90% confidence level. Moreover, the number of Tropical Cyclone, maximum wind, and life time also showed higher values in positive years than in negative years. These features were confirmed by examining the 850hPa cyclonic flow field, vorticity field, and vertical wind shear field, all of which contribute to the genesis of a Tropical Cyclone.

Firms can create additional customer values by changing the visibility characteristic of business transactions. Both visible and invisible transactions can provide distinctive values to the customers. Visible transactions are those that are open to the customer: the customer can see the detailed logic of the transaction and may manipulate specific variables to control the transaction process. Invisible transactions mean that customers have little ability to control the transaction flow and may even be insulated from seeing the transaction. These invisible transactions will be taken care of only by suppliers, and be regarded as a process performed by suppliers. This paper pursues finding out the contingencies of successful transaction visibility change by answering to the following question; "when does increasing(or decreasing) transaction visibility make sense to customers?" This archival case study finds out that transaction visibility change should fit to the need and capabilities of customers. Increasing transaction visibility makes sense when customers need a certain supplier's performance and have a confidence in the capabilities of executing the performance. By the same token, decreasing transaction visibility makes sense when customers have substantial troubles in conducting their current transaction actions or when customers don't feel it necessary to conduct them separately because they can be derived from other action.

Transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder is common in the genitourinary tract. The gold standard for the diagnosis of bladder cancer has been cystoscopy, along with urine cytology. Cystoscopy is an invasive and relatively expensive technique. By comparison, urine cytology is easy to perform and specific for a diagnosis of bladder cancer, although less sensitive, especially in low-grade tumors. For this reason, there has been a need for superior noninvasive technology to increase our confidence in being able to detect bladder cancer. There are many reports of the various urinary tests that are available to facilitate the diagnosis. In this article, I reviewed the literature on urinary markers and tests that may be clinically useful, including fluorescence in situ hybridization, uCyt+/Immunocyte, the $BTA^{(R)}$ test, the NMP 22TM, the $FDP^{(R)}$ test, the telomerase activity test, the HA and HAse tests, and flow cytometry. Most of these tests have a higher sensitivity and specificity than cytology. However, urine cytology has the highest specificity, especially in individuals with a high-grade tumor. We conclude that no urinary markers or tests can replace the role of cystoscopy along with cytology in the diagnosis of transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. However, some markers could be used adjunctively to increase the diagnostic accuracy during screening or during the postoperative follow-up examination of patients with bladder cancer.

It has been reported that Magnoliae cortex extract has antibacterial and antimicrobial activity against pathogenic microbes and Zea Mays L. extract is effective for improving gingival tissue health. The purpose of this study was to examine the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects of Zea Mays L. and Magnoliac cortex extract mixtures through experimental peridontitis induced beagle dog model. Nine beagle dogs with experimentally induced periodontitis were selected. Baseline clinical indices which includes plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth, clinical attachment level, gingival fluid flow rate were recorded and microbial assays were done. Magnoliac cortex and Zea Mays L., mixed at 2:l ratio in 105mg capsular dosage, were taken by 3 capsule (Group I) or 6 capsule dosages (Group II) three times a day. After 4,8,12 weeks, clinical indices were recorded. All data of clinical indices were compared through one-way ANOVA with 95% confidence level. Clinical indices of group I and II showed significantly better results than those of control group. There were no significant differences between group I and II. In conclusion, it was confirmed that mixture of Magnoliae cortex and Zea May L. (mix ratio 2:1) possessed clinical improving effects to periodontitis.

A sensitive technique for the determination of trace Co(II) in various samples after column preconcentration by adsorbing onto silica gel loaded with 1-nitroso-2-naphthol was developed. Several experimental conditions, such as pH of sample solution, the amount of silica gel loaded with 1-nitroso-2-naphthol, the flow rate for adsorption and so forth, were optimized. The interfering effects of diverse concomitant ions were investigated. Fe(III) interfered with more than any other ions, but the interference by Fe(III) was completely eliminated by adjusting the amount of silica gel loaded with 1-nitroso-2-naphthol to 0.30 g. The dynamic range, the correlation coefficient ($R^2$), and the detection limit obtained by the proposed technique were 3.0-140.0 ng m$L^{-1}$, 0.9942, and 1.81 ng m$L^{-1}$, respectively. For validating the technique, the aqueous samples (tap water, reservoir water, stream water, and wastewater) and the plastic samples were used as real samples. Recovery yields of 93.0-107.0% were obtained. These measured data were not different from ICP-MS data at the 95% confidence level by F test. Based on the results of the experiment, it has been found that the proposed technique can be applied to the determination of Co(II) in various real samples.

In this paper, we deal with a development of measurement system to apply the leakage rates test of primary containment in nuclear power plant. The measurement test about leakage rates in primary containment is one sort of test to prove safety of nuclear power plant. The parameters which are measured to calculate leakage rates are drybulb temperature, dew point temperature(or relative humidity), absolute pressure and flow. Overall, the measurement system consists of sensor module for data acquisition of the parameters, transfer module for wireless data communication and control module to control system and to calculate leakage rates. Because existing measurement systems are difficult to set in field, we pursued convenience of use, we applied wireless data communication and individual form module using battery. We also changed for the better in confidence. Recently, we are developing a drybulb temperature and a dew point temperature sensor module. We describe about function of developed measurement system, its standard and an plan for verification of measurement system.

This study is the analysis of characteristics of hospital space for the holistic healing environment of children on the basis of the healing theory on emotion of Max L$\ddot{u}$scher and the healing theory on senses of Rudolf Steiner of the overseas children's hospitals. According to the theory of Rudolf Steiner, children make comprehensive advancement of physical, spirit and soul through the interaction of 12 senses. In addition, Max Luscher asserts that the psychological health can be maintained when the 4 emotional status in content, confidence, self-esteem and liberty make the balance. The 4 elements of Luscher have correspond with spatial expression elements for refuge, flow, prospect and void, and this is analyzed in conjunction with the eight kinds of behavior affordance of ying and yang (-, +) that helps our the advancement of 12 senses of Steiner. WORK & STUDY(+), REST(-), MOBILITY(+), VISUAL SEQUENCE(-), SOCIAL EXCHANGE(+), REFRESHMENT(-), COMMUNITY(+) and MEDITATION (-) would be the 8 kinds of behavioral affordances to make the healing environment as presented in this study and the case analysis for children's hospitals have been undertaken.
