Hyperalkaline groundwater formed by groundwater-cement components and its reaction with bedrock in a nuclear waste repository were simulated by geochemical modeling. The result of groundwater-cement components reaction showed that the pH of water was 13.3 and the precipitated minerals were Brucite, Katoite, Calcium Silicate Hydrate(CSH1.1), Ettringite, Hematite, and Portlandite. The result of interaction between such minerals and groundwater sampled in Gyeongju area also showed that the pH of groundwater reached 12.4. Interaction between such hyperalkaline groundwater and granite was simulated by kinetic model during $10^3$ years. This result showed that the final pH of groundwater reached 11.2 and the variation of pH was controlled by dissolution/precipitation of silicate and CSH minerals. Groundwater quality was also determined by dissolution/precipitation of silicate, CSH, oxide minerals. Our results show that geochemical modeling of long-term hyperalkaline groundwater and rock interaction can contribute to the safety assessment of engineered barrier by predicting geochemical condition in repository site.

Effects of railway tunnel excavation on water level at a national groundwater monitoring station in Mokpo were evaluated by field investigation and numerical groundwater modeling. The water level at the station has experienced a decline of about 5 m within 1 year since July 2002. From the field investigation, it was concluded that decrease of precipitation oo increase of grundwater use was not reason for the decline. The Mokpo tunnel of new Honam railway, 70 m apart from the national station, appeared most plausible cause and a period of the tunnel excavation generally well matches up that of the drawdown. To quantify the effects of the tunneling on the water level, a groundwater flow modeling was performed. Especially, a most probable conceptual model was optimized through multiple preliminary simulations of various scenarios because there were few hydrogeological data available for the study area. The optimized model was finally used for the quantification. Based on the field investigation and the numerical simulations, it was concluded that the tunnel excavation was one of the most probable reasons for the substantial water level decline but further hydrogeologic investigation and continuous monitoring are essentially required for the surrounding area.
A Software Component is a module that is reused among a lot of projects, systems, and companies rather than a single application. Components can be reused in various systems if they provide not only the common functionalities required in many applications but also the diverse aspects to be customized for being suitable for customers' demands. From the development phase, components should be designed and developed considering the variable aspects they have for convenient customization. Easily customized components can be frequently reused in lots of applications. In the literature, there are some modeling and customizing techniques. But they suggested only conceptual or basic methods based on Object-Oriented. And the practical instructions for reusing component were not provided sufficiently. Moreover, there are few techniques that consider the proper variability types components have. Thus, those techniques are not appropriate for applying to black box component completely developed and released. In this paper, we classify variabilities that components have in functional aspect into two categories. The one is logic variability, and the other is workflow variability. For each classified variability, we propose the three kind of modeling techniques, which are selection, plug in and externalization. Also detailed instructions for practical design and application are provided.

The train control system is a facility to ensure model-based design and safe train operation, and its safety is the most important factor for system introduction, complexity of the design information and traceability etc. Therefore, the model-based design and safety activities regarding the way-side equipment of a train control system is also highlighted. To solve this problem, In this paper, model-based design was carried out first to develop an effective train control system, which is represented by SysML(System Modeling Language). The test scenarios that can take advantage of the design model were created to improve the train safety control system. Case studies of a model-based design of a train-centric train control system were applied to the test scenarios; the results demonstrated its usability. The improved activity over the test highlighted the safety improvement approach, and it is expected to reduce the cost and time in the conceptual design of a future development model-based train control system.
This study aims to analyze the research trends on Smart City and to present implications to policy maker, industry professional, and researcher. Cities around globe have undergone the rapid progress in urbanization and the consequent dramatic increase in urban dwellings over the past few decades, and faced many urban problems in such areas as transportation, environment and housing. Cities around the globe are in a hurry to introduce Smart City to pursue a common goal of solving these urban problems and improving the quality of their lives. However, various conceptual approaches to smart city are causing uncertainty in setting policy goals and establishing direction for implementation. The study collected 11,527 papers titled "Smart City(cities)" from the Scopus DB and Springer DB, and then analyze research status, topic, trends based on abstracts and publication date(year) information using the LDA based Topic Modeling approaches. Research topics are classified into three categories(Services, Technologies, and User Perspective) and eight regarding topics. Out of eight topics, citizen-driven innovation is the most frequently referred. Additional topic network analysis reveals that data and privacy/security are the most prevailing topics affecting others. This study is expected to helps understand the trends of Smart City researches and predict the future researches.

Many studies have been conducted on asset management of public facilities, as the importance of such management has been increasing. This basic study aims to present strategies for the practical use of public asset management, and seeks to propose efficient management and utilization measures from a cost perspective by comparing and analyzing the importance and impact relationship between cost items for public asset management. In this study, 19 sub-items and the top 4 items were chosen by deriving cost factors based on the previous literature. A survey was conducted, and the results of the survey were analyzed by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) methods. The AHP was used to derive the priority between items, and ISM was used to identify major groups and mutual influences. As a result, those items showing both high priority and high importance, such as user cost, dismantling/disposal cost, replacement cost, maintenance/repair cost, etc. are determined as priority items to be considered for public asset management of public facilities. Also, it is necessary to minimize the impact on other items in public asset management by those items which are impacted less by other items but have significant impact on the items such as initial construction costs, conceptual design costs, construction costs, and supervision costs. It is expected that the results and analysis methods presented in this study can be used to provide strategies for asset management of public facilities.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of conflict and nurturing factors for the divorced parent on the behavioral adaptation of their children. The participants in this study include 216 children in divorced families nationwide. Structural Equation Modeling with LISREL8 was used for statistical method. In order to achieve the purpose, researchers firstly tried to test a construct validity of conceptual variables(parental conflict, negative attitude of parental nurturing, child's belief about parental divorce, child's aggression and child's delinquence) by employing exploratory factor analysis(EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA). Result showed that all the five conceptual variables were discriminated. It was identified as the fit index of path structure was good(CFI=.955, NNFI=.947, RMSEA=.046). The specific result were as follows: 1. the parental conflict(${\xi}1$) was directly related to the negative attitude of parental nurturing(${\eta}1$) and the child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$). 2. the parental conflict(${\xi}1$) was indirectly related to child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$), the child's aggression(${\eta}3$) and delinquence(${\eta}4$). 3. the negative attitude of parental nurturing(${\eta}1$) was directly related to the child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$). 4. the negative attitude of parental nurturing(${\eta}1$) was indirectly related to the child's aggression(${\eta}3$) and delinquence(${\eta}4$). Lastly, and, the child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$) was directly related to the child's aggression(${\eta}3$) and delinquence(${\eta}4$). Researchers also identified the mediating effect of the parental nurturing between parental conflict and child's belief about parental divorce. On the basis of these results, this article provided some suggestions for promoting of children welfare.
The recent trend in modern systems development can be characterized by the increasing complexity in terms of both the functionality and HW/SW scale that seems to be accelerated by the growing user requirements and the rapid advancement of technology. Among the issues of complexity, the one related to systems safety has attracted great deal of attention lately in the development of the products ranging from mass-transportation systems to defence weapon systems. As such, the incorporation of safety requirements in systems development is becoming more important. Note, however, that since such safety-critical systems are usually complex to develop, a lot of organizations and thus, engineers should participate in the development. In general, there seems to be a variety of differences in both the breadth and depth of the technical background they own. To address the problems, at first this paper presents an effective design process for safety-critical systems, which is intended to meet both the systems design and safety requirements. The result is then advanced to obtain the models utilizing the systems modeling language (SysML) that is a de facto industry standard. The use of SysML can facilitate the construction of the integrated process and also foster active communication among many participants of diverse technical backgrounds. As a case study, the model-based development of high-speed trains is discussed.
Purpose: The requirement for legal services is going up by modern people living in the era of complexity and variety who want to resolve legal conflicts between individuals and improve their personal rights. Methods: In this study, we used both literature and empirical researches to achieve our goals. In literature research, concept of service quality, method of measuring service quality, and dimension of service quality were explored, relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty and hypothesis was made based on the above, and tested. To test the conceptual framework, structural equation modeling (SEM) has been used to analyze the data collected from 252 customers of Judicial Agents's Service. Results: This result is not consistent with that of advanced study; it was found that service has significant influence on customer trust, and the trust also has significant influence on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Conclusion: This study has limitations in terms of restricted service sectors and measuring methods. For this reason, the followings are needed to be considered for interpretation and generalization of the study results. We believe that further studies are needed to investigate other service areas as well as legal service at the same time, and study target which is limited to Gangwon Province needs to be expanded for more accurate investigation. In addition, in-depth follow-up study should be proceeded considering variables such as customer value, conversion cost, and image of service providers.
Most recently, CP(Cellular Phone) has been one of the most important technologies in the IT(Information Tech-nology) field, and it is situated in a position of great importance industrially and economically. To produce the best CP in the world, a new technological concept and its advanced implementation technique is required, due to the extreme level of competition in the world market. The RT(Robot Technology) has been developed as the next generation of a future technology. Current robots require advanced technology, such as soft computing, human-friendly interface, interaction technique, speech recognition, object recognition etc. unlike the industrial robots of the past. Therefore, this paper explains conceptual research for development of the RCP(Robotic Cellular Phone), a new technological concept, in which a synergy effect is generated by the merging of IT & RT. RCP infra consists of $RCP^{Mobility}$$RCP^{Interaction}$, $RCP^{Integration}$ technologies. For $RCP^{Mobility}$, human-friendly motion automation and personal service with walking and arming ability are developed. $RCP^{Interaction}$ ability is achieved by modeling an emotion-generating engine and $RCP^{Integration}$ that recognizes environmental and self conditions is developed. By joining intelligent algorithms and CP communication network with the three base modules, a RCP system is constructed. Especially, the RCP mobility system is focused in this paper. $RCP^{Mobility}$ is to apply a mobility technology, which is popular robot technology, to CP and combine human-friendly motion and navigation function to CP. It develops a new technological application system of auto-charging and real-world entertainment function etc. This technology can make a CP companion pet robot. It is an automation of human-friendly motions such as opening and closing of CPs, rotation of antenna, manipulation and wheel-walking. It's target is the implementation of wheel and manipulator functions that can give service to humans with human-friendly motion. So, this paper presents the definition, the basic theory and experiment results of the RCP mobility system. We confirm a good performance of the RCP mobility system through the experiment results.
