Energy Efficient Topology Control based on Sociological Cluster in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • The network topology for a wide area sensor network has to support connectivity and a prolonged lifetime for the many applications used within it. The concepts of structure and group in sociology are similar to the concept of cluster in wireless sensor networks. The clustering method is one of the preferred ways to produce a topology for reduced electrical energy consumption. We herein propose a cluster topology method based on sociological structures and concepts. The proposed sociological clustering topology (SOCT) is a method that forms a network in two phases. The first phase, which from a sociological perspective is similar to forming a state within a nation, involves using nodes with large transmission capacity to set up the global area for the cluster. The second phase, which is similar to forming a city inside the state, involves using nodes with small transmission capacity to create regional clusters inside the global cluster to provide connectivity within the network. The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms other methods in terms of energy efficiency and network lifetime.

  • 이 연구는 과학학습에서 무엇에 주목해야 하느냐는 고민의 연장선에서 이종네트워크로서의 과학학습의 의미에 대해 논의하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구 결과, 이론적 논의를 통해 이종네트워크가 갖는 특징을 이종적 구성, 관계에 의한 존재, 번역에 의한 구축과 변화라는 세 가지 측면에서 살펴볼 수 있었다. 그리고 과학학습 역시 이러한 이종네트워크의 특성이 있음을 논의하였다. 더불어서, 이종네트워크로서 과학학습은 우리에게 사물의 격상, 결절된 이종네트워크로서의 개념, '설다'와 '익다'의 너나들이라는 이종네트워크의 구축과 확장으로서의 학습 과정에 주목할 것을 요청하고 있음을 논의하였다. 끝으로 이를 바탕으로 과학학습과 관련하여 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

조합논리회로의 결함검출시험에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fault Detection Tests for Combintional Logic Networks)

  • This paper proposes a simple and systematic method for the generation of the fault detection test sets for the combinational logic networks. Based on tile path sensitizing concept, the test patterns for the primary input gates of the network are defined, and then it is shown that, arranging these predefined test patterns according to the path sensitizing characteristics of the given network sturctures, the minimal complete test sets for the fan-out free combinational networks can be found easily. It is also shown that, taking into account the fan-out paths sensitizing compatibility, the proposed method can be extended to the irredundant reconvergent fan-out networks.

  • In this paper we will develope the immnized recurrent neural network control system of a robot manipulator with high robustness in dynamically changing environment conditions. Immune system detects and eliminates the non-self materials called antigen such as virus, bacteria and so on which come from inside and outside of the living system, so plays an important role in maintaining its own system against dynamically changing environments. We apply this concept to a robot manipulator and evaluate the effectiveness of the above proposed system.

  • An international standard for the product model data, STEP, and a standard for the distributed object technology. CORBA, will play a very important role in the future manufacturing environment. These two technologies provide background for the sharing of product data and the integration of applications on the network. This paper describes a prototype CAD/CAE enviroment that is integrated on the network by STEP and CORBA. Several application servers and client software were developed to verify the proposed concept.

  • ATM technology is well developed. Small-scale access node and edge switches are introduced in the network. Large scale ATM core switches are prepared for backbone application. Currently, Internet traffic is increasing so rapidly and we need to consider effective way of accommodating the volume of traffic. In the other hand, QoS and traffic engineering concept is required in the Internet services. Here, in this paper, two technologies are explained and suggested for integration of networks for future ATM based IP network.

  • This paper proposes the architecture of a multiple ring based optical network with single hop between edge nodes using either the concept of circuit switching or multi-wavelength label. The structure of the multi-wavelength label, be shown through the single wavelength-band and the multiple wavelength-band that can reduce number of ring. To avoid the collision of the optical packets at an outward port, we proposed the dynamic allocation scheme of the outward optical packets based on the fiber do]ay lines(FDLs).

  • This paper presents a fast massively parallel automatic test pattern generator for digital combinational logic circuits using neural networks. Automatic test pattern generation neural network(ATPGNN) evolves its state to a stable local minima by exchanging messages among neural network modules. In preprocessing phase, we calculate the essential assignments for the stuck-at faults in fault list by adopting dominator concept. It makes more neurons be fixed and the system speed up. Consequently. fast test pattern generation is achieved. Test patterns for stuck-open faults are generated through getting initialization patterns for the obtained stuck-at faults in the corresponding ATPGNN.

  • User's qualities of services (QoS) are the basic requirements involved in distributed multimedia systems. Considering ATM network, ATM adapter cannot control the end-to-end connection satisfying the user's QoS. This paper describes the new concept of a QoS prediction management system in the distributed network and the configuration of it's QoS prediction management architecture and also discusses it's algorithm.
