As a result, for the increasing expansion by the university faculties in the field of postgraduate studies, The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the university has been established in 1430 AH/2009 CE to specifically address the needs of the current and prospective graduate population to supervise postgraduate studies programs in coordination with the concerned faculties. This comes as a result for the university being certain of the importance of providing postgraduate studies opportunities that follow the bachelor's degree to qualify our ambitious youth appropriately. The University offers 72 different Graduate programs, awarding doctoral and master's degrees along with fellowships and diplomas in various disciplines like health, engineering, science, literary, and educational. Currently, the financial model for admission and students' payment is manual and paper based. This paper proposes to provide a user interface for Financial Management in Deanship of Graduate studies The basic purpose of the system was to minimize human interference and reduce mistakes placed by human interference, also to have efficient and a fast performance, and perform Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for various tasks such as billing and scheduling details.

The purposes of this paper are to review the concept and system structure of computer graphics and to discuss the applicability of computer graphics technique as an analysis tool in transportation studies. To do this, several applications of computer graphics used for analyzing and solving transportation system problems were described and illustrated. The results indicate that computer graphics are found to be powerful aids to the analysis and design of transportation systems that typically involve large data bases and several interacting components. The results also indicate that computer graphics can be a powerful tool for aiding planner, decision maker and citizen in making it easier to explain and interpret information through mapping and graphic display.

본 논문은 무선 센서노드에서 측정되는 데이터들에 대한 저장 및 검색을 효율적으로 하기 위한 플래시 메모리 공간 관리 기법을 제안한다. 플래시 메모리는 외부 충격에 강하고, 비휘발성이며 접근이 빠른 장점이 있지만, 덮어쓰기 및 쓰기 횟수가 제한되는 단점이 있다. 이러한 특성으로 플래시 메모리는 기존의 저장매체와는 다른 관리 방법이 요구되었고 지금까지의 센서노드에서는 플래시 메모리를 사용 하지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 센서노드안의 플래시 메모리에서 순차적으로 측정되는 데이터를 관리하기 위해 LFS(Log-Structured File System)방식을 제안한다. 그리고 순차적으로 정렬된 데이터에 효율적인 검색방법을 제시하고, 이를 ZigbeX Mote의 TinyOS안에서 NesC로 구현하였다.

최근 이동성이 중요한 요소로 차지하는 기기들이 등장하면서 플래시 메모리가 각광을 받고 있다. 플래시 메모리의 소형화, 대용량화, 저전력화, 비휘발성, 고속화 그리고 충격에 강한 장점으로 인하여 많은 응용에서 디스크를 대체할 것으로 예상된다. 하지만 이런 플래시 메모리는 데이터를 기록하기 전에 해당 블록이 미리 소거가 되어야 하는 제약 조건을 가지고 있으며 각 블록들의 최대 소거 횟수가 제한되어 있다는 한계가 있다. 이때 소거 연산이 특정 블록에 집중되어 특정 블록의 수명이 단축되는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 블록에 대한 소거 횟수 평준화 기법(wear-leveling)이 필요하다. 기존에 제안된 소거 횟수 평준화 기법은 각 블록의 소거 횟수를 유지해야하는 비용이 필요로 하거나 플래시 메모리가 대용량일 경우에는 블록 영역을 이동시키는데 비용이 발생하는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 플래시 메모리의 소거 횟수 평준화를 위하여 해당 블록의 소거 횟수에 대한 정보의 유지의 부담을 줄이고 플래시 메모리의 대용량화 및 디스크 대체 시에 효율적인 소거 횟수 평준화 기법을 제안하고, 실험을 통하여 성능의 우수함을 보인다.

In this paper, we analyze the effect of the representative spectral indices, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), normalized difference water index (NDWI) and normalized difference built-up index (NDBI) on classification accuracies of Landsat-8 OLI image.After creating these spectral index images, we propose five methods to select the spectral index images as classification features together with Landsat-8 OLI bands from 1 to 7. From the experiments we observed that when the spectral index image of NDVI or NDWI is used as one of the classification features together with the Landsat-8 OLI bands from 1 to 7, we can obtain higher overall accuracy and kappa coefficient than the method using only Landsat-8 OLI 7 bands. In contrast, the classification method, which selected only NDBI as classification feature together with Landsat-8 OLI 7 bands did not show the improvement in classification accuracies.

This study determines how social media users (SMUs) verify the information they come across on the Internet. It determines SMUs' perception of online fact-checking services in terms of their ease of use, usefulness, and trust. By conducting a focus group discussion and key informant interviews, themes were derived in determining fact-checking practices while a survey was further conducted to determine such perceived ease of use, usefulness, and trust in fact-checking services. The thematic analysis revealed major information verification practices, such as cross-checking and verifying with other sources, inspecting comments and reactions, and confirming from personal and social networks. The results showed that SMUs considered fact-checking services easy to use. However, a concern was raised about their usefulness stemming from the delayed action in addressing the information issues that need to be verified. As to perceived trust, it was found that SMUs have reservations about fact-checking services. Finally, it is believed that fact-checking services are expected to be credible and need to be promoted to mitigate any form of fake news, particularly on social media platforms.

PC 및 서버 급에서 DBMS가 아주 폭넓게 사용되어지고 있으며 그 뿐 아니라 컴퓨팅 파워가 높아짐에 따라서 임베디드 시스템에서도 DBMS가 필요해졌다. 임베디드 시스템에서 DBMS가 충분히 동작할 만큼의 성능을 발휘하게 되었고, 이에 따라 임베디드 시스템에서 동작하는 응용프로그램들도 임베디드 DBMS를 사용하게 되었다. 임베디드 시스템이 점차 플래시 메모리를 사용하는 추세에 맞추어 플래시 기반 임베디드 DBMS 기술 개발이 중요하다. 플래시 메모리의 특성에 맞춘 임베디드 DBMS를 개발하지 않으면, 결과적으로 플래시 메모리의 성능을 저하시키며, 수명도 단축시키는 결과를 초래하게 될 것이다. 특히 임베디드 환경에서는 전기 에너지 자원이 한정되어 있기 때문에 전력 소모를 줄이는 것이 관건이다. 따라서 임베디드 DBMS에서 디스크에서 정의한 비용 모델을 따르는 것은 한계가 있다. 본 논문은 임베디드 DBMS에서 전력 기반 비용 모델을 새롭게 제시하고, 디스크 기반 비용 모델과 비교하여 제시한 비용 모델과의 차이를 보인다.

본 논문은 광고를 원활하게 인터넷 사이트 상에다 배포하고 광고를 집행한 후에 효과를 과학적으로 정확하게 분석하여 소비자의 성향을 정확하게 리포팅 해 주는 광고운영과 분석에 필요한 시스템의 구현을 그 목적으로 한다. 또한 단순한 배너 광고의 분석결과만 도출하는 것이 아니라, 분석 자료를 바탕으로 배너 광고를 자동으로 관리 한 수 있는 지능형 인터넷 광고 분석시스템을 JSP(Java Server rages)로 설계 및 구현하도록 한다.

기존의 비호환성 서비스 플랫폼을 대체할 수 있는 OSGi 기반의 확장형 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 OSGi Alliance에서 제정한 서비스 플랫폼 명세(Service platform specification)를 기반으로 플랫폼에 의존하지 않는 서비스 환경을 구현하고 이를 활용하여 홈 네트워크 환경을 위한 새로운 소프트웨어 플랫폼 구축에 관하여 논한다. 이는 플러그인 방식의 쉬운 확장 기능을 제공함으로써 서비스 제공자와 소비자의 다양한 시스템 환경에서 비용을 절감할 수 있는 효율적인 서비스 기반을 제공하게 될 것이다.
