차세대 컴퓨터 중 하나인 웨어러블 컴퓨터는 BAN 영역 안에서 다양한 소형 무선 디바이스들 간의 연결을 통해 사용자에게 서비스를 제공해 주는 새로운 컴퓨팅 환경을 말한다. 네트워크 PnP는 웨어러블 컴퓨팅 환경을 조성하기 위한 필수적인 기술로서 디바이스와 서비스 발견 기능을 제공하여 BAN 내에 추가된 디바이스를 자동으로 감지하고 새로운 서비스를 웨어러블 컴퓨터 사용자들에게 제공해 주는 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 웨어러블 컴퓨팅 환경에 적합한 웨어러블 미들웨어를 제안하며 웨어러블 미들웨어를 구성하는 여러 컴포넌트들 중 하나인 네트워크 PnP 컴포넌트를 설계하였다.

본 논문은 정제된 대용량 말뭉치로부터 얻은 음절 n-gram과 어절 통계를 이용한 한국어 자동 띄어쓰기 시스템을 제안한다. 한 문장 내에서 최적의 띄어쓰기 위치는 Viterbi 알고리즘에 의해 결정된다. 통계 기반 연구에 고유한 문제인 데이터 부족 문제, 학습 말뭉치 의존 문제를 개선하기 위하여 말뭉치를 확장하고 실험을 통해 얻은 매개변수를 사용하고 최장 일치 Viable Prefix를 찾아 어절 목록에 추가한다. 본 연구에 사용된 학습 말뭉치는 33,641,511어절로 구성되어 있으며 구어와 문어를 두루 포함한다.

A ribonucleic acid (RNA) is one of the two types of nucleic acids found in living organisms. An RNA molecule represents a long chain of monomers called nucleotides. The sequence of nucleotides of an RNA molecule constitutes its primary structure, and the pattern of pairing between nucleotides determines the secondary structure of an RNA. Non-coding RNA genes produce transcripts that exert their function without ever producing proteins. Predicting the secondary structure of non-coding RNAs is very important for understanding their functions. We focus on Nussinov's algorithm as useful techniques for predicting RNA secondary structures. We introduce a new traceback matrix and scoring table to improve above algorithm. And the improved algorithm provides better levels of performance than the originals.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 구성요소인 웨어러블 컴퓨터는 배터리를 기반으로 운영되므로 웨어러블 컴퓨터의 사용 시간을 늘리려면 효과적인 전력관리가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 웨어러블 컴퓨터의 전력관리를 위한 컴포넌트 형태 미들웨어에 대한 구현 상황과 그 성능에 대해 기술한다. 구현된 전력관리 미들웨어는 전력인지 인터페이스, 전력관리 모듈과 전력관리 미들웨어 인터페이스로 구성된다. 구현된 전력인지 인터페이스로 전력관리 미들웨어 인터페이스는 다른 미들웨어 컴포넌트 개발자나 응용프로그램 개발자에게 시스템에 투명한 전력관리 기법을 제공할 수 있다. 성능 측정 결과, 구현된 전력관리 미들웨어를 이용하여 LCD 화면 밝기와 블루투스 장치 검색 메시지 주기를 조절할 경우, 웨어러블 컴퓨터의 이용시간이 약 2배 이상 증가하였다.

인터넷 상에서 음성데이터를 전달하는 VoIP는 기존의 PSTN망을 대체하는 수단으로 환영받고 있다. 음성데이터를 인터넷 프로토콜 데이터 패킷으로 변환하여 데이터가 일반 IP망에서 전달이 가능하게 해주어 기존 일반 전화망에 비해 요금이 저렴하고 확장성이 뛰어난 특징을 가지고 있다. 이러한 VoIP서비스가 점차 증가함에 따라 보안의 취약점 및 서비스의 질이 저하되는 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 점을 줄이기 위해 본 논문은 기존의 VoIP에 AA(Attribute Authority) Server를 추가하여서 보안성 및 사용자 접근에 차등을 줄 수 있는 인증 시스템을 설계하였다.

인간시각체계의 특성을 이용하여 시각적으로 좋은 화질을 얻으면서도 효율적인 저 전송률의 웨이블릿 영상부호화를 실현하였다. MTF 함수를 이용하여 공간주파수 영역에서의 주파수 변화에 따른 콘트라스트의 민감도의 변화를 보상하였고, 공간 방향성에 대응하는 변수들을 추정하기 위하여 공간이방특성을 갖는 필터를 설계하였다. 이에 의하여 인간시각체계와 유사한 구조인 웨이블릿 변환영역에 적용할 수 있는 가중치를 도출하는 알고리즘을 개발하여 웨이블릿 변환 부호화에 적응하였다.

This paper presents a intuitive, simple and easy smart home TV remote control system using the hand gesture recognition. Hand candidate regions are detected by cascading policy of the part of human anatomy on the disparity map image, Exact hand region is extracted by the graph-cuts algorithm using the skin color information. Hand postures are represented by shape features which are extracted by a simple shape extraction method. We use the forward spotting accumulative HMMs for a smart home TV remote control system. Experimental results show that the proposed system has a good recognition rate of 97.33 % for TV remote control in real-time.

2차원 기반의 얼굴 분석 및 처리 알고리즘은 포즈 및 조명에 강인하지 못한 문제점들이 존재한다. 이러한 이유로 3차원 기반의 얼굴 분석 및 처리 분야에 많은 연구를 진행하려 하였지만, 컴퓨팅 파워의 한계와 고속 스캐너의 부재 등으로 많은 연구가 진행되지 못하였다. 하지만 오늘날 하루가 다르게 빨라지고 있는 컴퓨터의 성능으로 인해 추출했던 연구들이 다시 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 영상 등록(image Registration) 알고리즘의 한 종류인 Inverse Compositional Image Alignment 알고리즘을 3차원 모퍼블 모델에 적용 및 구현을 하였으며, 기존의 다른 영상 등록 알고리즘과 비교를 하였다.

This paper describes the design and implementation of a wireless home network system using Home Network Control Protocol (HNCP) called the wireless HNCP home network system. For wireless interfaces of HNCP, IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.15.4 standard protocols are considered. With the implementation of the wireless HNCP home network system, a simple analysis about coexistence between IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.15.4 is achieved. Through the implemented wireless HNCP home network system and the analytical results about the coexistence between both two different wireless protocols, the feasibility of the wireless HNCP home network system is shown.

In this paper, a novel beta-multiplier reference current source circuit for the 800mV power-supply voltage is presented. In order to cope with the narrow input common-mode range of the OpAmp in the reference circuit, shunt resistive voltage divider branches were deployed. High gain OpAmp was designed to compensate intrinsic low output resistance of the MOS transistors. The proposed reference circuit was designed in a standard 0.18um CMOS process with nominal Vth of 420mV and -450mV for nMOS and pMOS transistor respectively. The total power consumption including OpAmp is less than 50uW.
