곡물의 균일한 이송을 위한 리니어 피더의 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of a Linear Feeder for Uniform Transformation of Grains)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of a linear feeder that can transport grains uniformly. In order to analyze the dynamic behaviors of a linear feeder, the displacements of the feeder are measured by several accelerometers when it is in an operating condition. After the signal data from the accelerometers are captured in the time domain, the feeder motion in the space is visualized by using graphic computer software. In addition, a dynamic model of the feeder is established for a multi-body dynamics simulation. For the dynamic simulation, RecurDyn, which is a commercial multi-body dynamic package, is used. From the experimental and the computational approaches, an optimal dynamic motion is obtained for uniform transportation of grains. Furthermore, we also consider the determination of design parameters for optimal dynamic motion such as centroid, stiffness, and damping coefficient of the feeder system.

  • In this paper, we present an implementation of Long Term Evolution (LTE) Uplink (UL) system on a Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform using a conventional Personal Computer (PC), which adopts Graphic Processing Units (GPU) and Universal Software Radio Peripheral2 (USRP2) with URSP Hardware Driver (UHD) for SDR software modem and Radio Frequency (RF) transceiver, respectively. We have adopted UHD because UHD provides flexibility in the design of transceiver chain. Also, Cognitive Radio (CR) engine have been implemented by using libraries from UHD. Meanwhile, we have implemented the software modem in our system on GPU which is suitable for parallel computing due to its powerful Arithmetic and Logic Units (ALUs). From our experiment tests, we have measured the total processing time for a single frame of both transmit and receive LTE UL data to find that it takes about 5.00ms and 6.78ms for transmit and receive, respectively. It particularly means that the implemented system is capable of real-time processing of all the baseband signal processing algorithms required for LTE UL system.

스톱 모션 애니메이션에서 사물의 존재론에 대한 고찰 (A Study on Ontology in Stop-Motion Animation)

  • 이 논문은 이미지만으로 표현하는 경우에는 주제 전달력을 위해 애니메이션에서 보여주는 모든 미장센의 요소의 중요성에 대한 목적을 가지고 연구하고자 한다. 하이데거과 샤르트르의 존재론을 기반으로 본론에서는 러시아 애니메이션 작가인 게리바르딘의 작품 중 사물의 특성을 잘 살린 작품을 선별하여 분석하였다. Conflict (1983), Vikrutasy (1987), Adagio (2000) 작품을 통해 사물의 존재의 의미를 찾아보고, 표현된 사물의 유형과 내러티브의 상관관계에 대해 고찰하였다. 게리바르딘의 작품 분석 결과 스톱 모션 애니메이션 재료의 성질이 내러티브를 구성하고, 재료 하나하나의 의미가 주제와 관련되어 음성으로 표현하지 않고 이미지만으로 소통이 될 수 있다는 것을 입증하였고, 사물에 대한 고찰로 애니메이션의 소재를 통해 주제를 표현한다는 결론을 도출하였다. 이 연구는 향후 스톱모션 애니메이션에 대해 교육을 하고자 할 때 사물의 특성에 대한 분석이 애니메이션에 중요한 영향을 끼치는가에 대한 설득을 위한 도구로 의의가 있다.

주거단지 배치계획을 위한 증강현실 기술의 활용방안에 관한 기초연구 (An Application Method of Augmented Reality Technology for Layout Planning of Housing Complex)

  • Digital convergence era has been already started and is rapidly developed. Recently, convergency technology became an essential issue in all industries, and is expected to accelerate. This means that we can experience growth and change of architecture using new technology and approaching method. The AR (Augmented Reality) technology, among these convergence technology, is a kind of virtual reality technology that user can see a scene of real world which is overlapped by virtual world with additional information. It has been used in manufacturing and management in the whole industry fields including medical, mechanical, military field and so on because it can provide higher sense of reality. Thus, in this paper, we suggest the utilization of AR technology for organically connecting the roads, facilities, green area, landscape and others in the layout planning of housing complex. Users can see real world with virtual object by overlap computer graphic on the real world. This method provides users with various information about territoriality and openness. As the result of this study it is expected that this technology will help the layout planning of housing complex to become more reasonable in the aspect of design, time and cost.

실내조경에 있어서 식물의 시각량이 시각선호에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Ratio of Greenery on the Visual Preference in interior Landscape)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest optimum level of the Ratio of Greenery within the frame of vision in the interior landscape design through the analysis of visual character and preference of the interior landscape. The concept of the RG was defined as the ratio of projected area of plants higher than 1.2M against background wall from eye level. 5 photography of Interior landscape space -- 10,20,30,40 and 50% of the RG-- were constructed by computer graphic techinques. Likert scale and semantic differential scale were used to analyse visual character and preference of the interior landscape space. The analysis results are as follows : 1. Factors that compose of the image of the interior landscape have been found to be the "evaluation ", "complexity". The mean value of semantic differential scale showed a significant difference according to RG. When the RG was 20~30%, "Harmony" and "stability" was strongly recognized than the other factors and the interior landscape made the interior space natural and intimate. But at the RG 40!50%, users felt "stuffy" and "too complex" by many plants, so it was not efficient the Interior Landscape. 2. The visual preference was significantly different according to RG. The mean value of the visual preference was increased as the RG was higher, it was the highest at the RG 30%. But over the RG 30%, the preference level was declined. 3. Based on these results, this study suggests that the optimum level of RG in the Interior Landscape is 30%.at the optimum level of RG in the Interior Landscape is 30%.

초등학교 역사학습을 위한 RPG 에듀게임의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a RPG edugame for Learning of History in Elementary School)

  • 에듀게임은 학습자들로 하여금 흥미롭고 자기 주도적인 교육환경을 제공하기에 매우 적절한 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 고구려 역사에 초점을 맞추어서 역사 학습에 적용이 가능한 에듀게임을 개발하였다. 이름은 북벌로 명명하였다. 북벌의 주된 내용은 학생들로 하여금 고구려 역사에 대한 올바른 이해를 하도록 하기 위함이다. 중국이 고구려 역사를 왜곡하고 있다는 내용의 교육이 필요한 때이다. 단순히 교육과 재미의 형식적 결합이 되지 않도록 게임의 의미 요소를 염두에 두었다. 북벌은 일본의 Enterbrain사에서 만든 RPG making 2003(RPGツワ一ル2003)을 가지고 구현하였다. 마지막으로 학생들을 대상으로 에듀게임의 만족도 조사를 하였다. 조사 결과, 본 에듀게임의 역사 학습으로서의 긍정적인 활용 가능성과 더 나은 그래픽 인터페이스의 필요성을 알 수 있었다.

A study of Fashion art Illustration employing Matisse Painting

  • Modern art is getting more comprehensive and diversified regardless of genre in many forms due to the pluralism and anti-aesthetic trend of the time which is impacted by post modernism. This atmosphere is also applied to fashion illustration which creates synergy effect in cooperation with many different genres. This study selected Matisse' paper cut-out as the subject which would reflect the minimalism and ionism of modern plasticity. By taking this as the motive for fashion illustration, I made seven illustration works with the subject of minimalism of form and color. The conclusion of this study is as following. First, Matisse's paper cut out has controlled plasticity related to the modern ionism and it well fits the modern trend and sensibility which is appropriate for motive of fashion illustration. Second, by upgrading the technique of Matisse' paper cut-out in a modern way such as combination of hand drawing and computer graphic using Photoshop, I was able to make originative and creative illustration works with background and patterns that were closely connected with each other. Third, applying the fashion illustration to other various products is being well received now and I made my illustrations that could lead to follow up studies to apply the fashion illustration to other different products. Matisse' paper cut-our has forms, colors and patterns that can contain both commercial and artistic value. Therefore it is quite feasible for follow up research to apply into many different areas.

모바일 그래픽 응용을 위한 파이프라인 구조 특수 목적 연산회로의 하드웨어 설계 (Hardware Design of Pipelined Special Function Arithmetic Unit for Mobile Graphics Application)

  • 3차원 그래픽 API인 OpenGL과 Direct3D를 효율적으로 처리하기 위해 sine, cosine, 역수, 역제곱근, 지수 및 로그 연산을 처리하는 부동소수점 연산회로를 설계하였다. 고속 연산과 2 ulp 보다 작은 오차를 만족시키기 위해 2차 최대최소 근사 방식과 테이블 룩업 방식을 사용하였다. 설계된 회로는 65nm CMOS 표준 셀 조건에서 2.3-ns의 최대 지연시간을 갖고 있으며, 약 23,300 게이트로 구성된다. 최대 400 MFLOPS의 연산 성능과 높은 정밀도로, 설계한 연산회로는 3차원 모바일 그래픽 분야에 효율적으로 적용 가능하다.

  • 최근의 시뮬레이션 도구들은 새로 발표된 여러 가지 3차원 구현 기술들을 접목하여 제한된 2차원 화면 속에서 3차원 요소들을 효율적으로 구현 시켜 나가고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 현재의 기술적 상황에 기초를 둔 경관 시뮬레이션 도구를 구현하였으며, 자연과의 조화를 통한 인간의 보다 향상된 생활환경을 구상하여 설계할 수 있도록 고려하였다. 응용된 기술로는 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 가상현실구현에 대한 3차원상의 표준으로 주목받고 있는 VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language)과 자비를 연계한 EAI(External Authoring Interface)를 적용하였다.

전기제품의 프로그레시브 가공을 위한 공정설계 자동화 시스템 (An Automated Process Planning System for Progressive Working of Electric Products)

  • This paper describes a research work of developing automated progressive process planning system for working electric products. An approach to the CAD system in based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the CAD system is formulated from plasticity theories experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. The system has been written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD with a personal computer and is composed of three main modules which are input and shape treatment flat pattern layout and strip layout module. Based on knowledge-based rules the system is design by considering several factors such as radius and angle of bend material and thickness of product complexities of blank geometry and punch profile bending sequence and availability of press. Strip layout drawing automatically generated by piercing with punch profiles divided into for external area is simulated in 3-D graphic forms including bending sequences for the product with piercing and bending. Results obtained using the modules enable the manufacture of electronic products to be more efficient in this field.
