Automated Design of PSC Sleepers in High Speed Railway Turnouts (고속 철도 PSC 분기침목의 자동화설계)

  • The design of sleeper in high-speed railway turnouts is complicated and time-consuming because the length and loading position of sleepers change continuously along the turnout line. It is, therefore, necessary to develop an automated design program which can design automatically the PSC sleepers in turnout region. In this study, a computer program for automatic design of turnout sleepers was developed based on graphic user-interface(GUI) environment. The structural analysis is performed considering the varying loading position of vehicular wheels. The sleepers are treated as located on elastic supports. The user can choose the desirable shape of sleepers before starting the detail design. The present study allows more realistic and automatic design of PSC sleepers in high-speed railway turnouts.

  • This study seeks to propose the virtual costume's pipeline production in digital fashion show which is based on the unique characteristic combining computer graphic technology and traditional fashion design. This study analyzed the fabric materials based on Korean traditional costume to create a virtual Hanbok for the digital fashion show, and conducted the group of professional's satisfaction statistics through the experiment to verify the realistic usability. The contents of primary process of producing virtual Korean costume is analyzed by summarizing the thickness, weight, and color as the three essential fabric properties required for virtual Hanbok. In addition, virtual costumes are compared with real Hanbok based on the usability survey to evaluate the positive research result by forty graphic experts. The purpose of this study is to present the guideline of essential material analysis of the fabrication to digital fashion show in the virtual clothing production.

  • Accurate and efficient monitoring of dynamically changing environments is one of the most important requirements for ubiquitous network environments. Ubiquitous computing provides intelligent environments which are aware of spatial conditions and can provide timely and useful information to users or devices. Also, the growth of embedded systems and wireless communication technology has made it possible for sensor network environments to develop on a large scale and at low-cost. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a monitoring system that collects, analyzes, and controls the status information of each sensor, following sensor data extracted from each sensor node. The monitoring system adopts Web technology for the implementation of a simple but efficient user interface that allows an operator to visualize any of the processes, elements, or related information in a convenient graphic form.

  • The geometry stage, which performs the transformation and lighting operations of vertices, became the critical part in 3D graphics pipeline. In this paper, we have planned and designed the Geometry Processor for the better and more efficient way to process the real-time 3D using the floating point unit. We also designed a verification system for Geometry engine. It is implemented with Xilinx-Virtex2 and Visual C++.NET. In the Synopsis, we confirmed 100 MHz performance and 137107 cell area of Geometry Engine.

  • 그래픽 윈도우 시스템은 가장 널리 사용되는 GUI 종류중 하나이며, 그 사용 범위가 임베디드 시스템에 이르기까지 확대되고 있는 추세이다. 그래픽 윈도우 시스템은 임베디드 시스템의 요구조건을 만족시키기 위해 경량이고 자원의 소모를 작게 해야 하면 고성능이어야 한다. 또한 높은 신뢰성을 가져야 하며 목적에 따라서 재구성이 가능해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 운영체제를 위한 그래픽 윈도우 시스템에서 윈도우 관리 기본적인 그래픽 호출, 텍스트 출력, 이미지 출력 부분을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • WWW은 무한한 확장 가능성을 지닌 HTTP(Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol)와 편리한 웹 브라우져를 통해 질적, 양적 성장 계속해 왔으며 특히 GUI(Graphic User Interface) 환경에서 동작하는 웹 브라우져는 WWW이 수많은 이용자를 확보하는데 일익을 담당했다. 본 논문에서는 이 웹 브라우져에 음성인식 기술을 접목하여 WWW의 이용자가 자신의 음성으로 편리하게 웹 브라우징을 할 수 있도록 하는 음성 인터페이스를 설계, 구현 한다. 본 음성 인터페이스는 계속적으로 입력되는 음성 정보 중 화자의 발성음을 추출하여 음성 인식기에 전달하는 음성 입력기와 화자의 발성을 인식하는 음성 인식기 그리고 인식결과를 웹 브라우져에게 처리 하도록 하는 결과 처리기로 구성되어 있다.

A Design of a Tile Based Rasterizer Using Memory Hierarchy Structure (메모리 계층 구조를 사용한 타일 기반 레스터라이져 설계)

  • This paper proposes a design of efficient hierarchy structure in the tile based rasterizer. The proposed hierarchy structure avoids unnecessary calls of low level tile at which a calculation is not required. A low level tile is classified into three categories based on its maximum, minimum position, and inside outside test. The necessity of calculations on the corresponding low level tile can be determined by its classification. The overall amount of computations for graphic processing can be reduced by not calling for the low level tile with no calculation. The proposed hierarchy structure can reduce an execution time of graphic processing. It shows higher efficiency with the more vertex density of formulating 3D model.

  • 본 연구는 호황을 누리고 있는 e스포츠 방송 분야에서 그래픽 디자인의 중요성을 탐구한다. e스포츠 시청자에게 명확하고 매력적인 비주얼을 제공하고 선수 통계, 팀 순위, 토너먼트 일정과 같은 정보를 제공하는 효과적인 그래픽 디자인의 중요성을 강조한다. 시각적으로 매력적이고 몰입감 있는 방송을 만드는 데 도움이 되는 핵심 원칙과 전략을 식별하는 것을 제안하고 있으며, 그래픽에 대한 시청자 반응을 측정하고 문제가 될 수 있는 그래픽이 전반적인 e스포츠 경험을 방해하는지 확인하기 위해 설문 조사를 통해 분석 결과를 제시한다. 그리고 디자이너가 고려해야 할 핵심 사항에는 명확성, 일관성, 브랜딩 및 혁신이 포함되며, 이 모든 요소는 청중을 참여시키고 e스포츠 방송의 품질을 높이는 효과적인 그래픽을 만드는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 내용들을 제시한다.

  • This paper describes some research works of computer-aided design of blanking and piercing progressive die for stator and rotor parts. An approach to the system is based on knowledge based rules. The deveolped system is composed of six modules such as main program, input and shape treatment, production feasibility check, strip layout, die layout and drawing edit module. Using this system, design parameters ( geometric shapes, die and punch dimensions and dimensions of tool elements) are determined and output is gen- erated in graphic from. Knowledges for tool design are extracted from the plasticity theories, handbooks, relevant references and empirical know-hows of experts in blkanking companies. The developed system provides powerful capabilities for process planning and die design of stator and rotor parts.

  • Korea adopted a university education ,which it would have been many changes and innovations until modem developed university has its distinct feature. Design education is started just before release of korea and it has inclueded various majors in many changes until now. On the basis of 'Design', multi-media design has been happened and it shows the em of computer. With this change, the School Curriculum was tried many revisions and major subjects has had many changes reflecting the trend of the times. The Visual Communication Design Education is no exception to this. Especially the Visual Communication Design Education has a special quality that accept ail kinds of medium which can deliver on visual angle. Also it takes the problem that how to receive and teach new medium-Computer. The University education that original subject and new computer subject are mixed appropriately must be established promptly. We reside at the very point where past and present merge toward the future of computer graphic design.
