리튬이온 전지용 가스켓 고무의 특성에 미치는 충전제의 영향 (The Effect of Fillers on Rubber Characteristics for Gasket to Lithium Ion Battery)

  • 리튬이온 전지에 사용되는 가스켓 재료는 내전해액성, 전기절연성, 압축 영구 줄음률, 비오염성, 저온성이 요구된다. 가스켓 고무에 적용되는 충전제의 특성을 살펴보기 위하여 EPDM(ethylene propylene diene monomer), NBR(nitrile butadiene), FKM(fluoro elastomers)에 카본블랙 및 실리카계 충전제의 함량을 조정하여 compoud를 만들었다. 이렇게 배합된 compound를 리튬이온 전지의 작동 환경을 고려하여 전해액에 대한 장기평가 및 압축 영구 줄음률, 저온성에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 본 실험에서는 카본블랙 및 실리카계 충전제를 사용하여 각 충전제에 따른 고무재료의 물리적 화학적 특성에 대하여 검토하였다.

마이크로파를 이용한 비극성 고무컴파운드의 가황 효율 (Vulcanization Efficiency of Non-polar Rubber Compounds by Microwave)

  • 열원으로 열풍과 마이크로파를 이용하여 비극성 ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer(EPDM)/카본블랙 컴파운드 제조에 있어서 시편의 두께 및 첨가제 함량에 따른 가황속도의 영향을 비교 조사하였다. 열풍가황의 경우, 컴파운드의 두께가 가장 중요한 인자로서 EPDM의 나쁜 열전도도 특성으로 인하여 컴파운드의 두께가 증가할수록 가황속도는 느려졌으며 두께 3 mm 컴파운드의 완전 가황은 $250^{\circ}C$에서 7분 이상이 소요되었다. 반면에 마이크로파 가황에서는 컴파운드의 두께에 의한 영향은 없었으나 극성첨가제인 카본블랙 함량에 큰 영향을 받았다. 카본블랙이 80 phr 이상인 컴파운드는 30초간 마이크로파 노출에 의해 거의 100% 가황이 일어남을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 극성물질을 포함하는 컴파운드의 가황열원으로서 마이크로파가 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • Exposed to various environments, concrete confronts degradation by a lot of physical and chemical reaction. Though so many experiments and theorizations on the single condition of concrete degradation have been carried out by constant studies, the truth for now is that there are few studies on the compound phenomenon of degradation related with marine environments. Accordingly, this study measured the degree of degradation in the change of external shape, the change of unit weight and compressive strength, ultrasonic velocity test, and the change of length, etc. after exposing the specimen of cement mortar to the environment between 0 cycle and the maximum of 300 cycles under the condition of aquatic curing, freezing and thawing, and compound degradation, using mineral admixture effective for concrete degradation as a binder. The result indicated that the case of adding mineral admixture showed greater resistance than that of using OPC only, and specifically, the specimen with the additive of slag powder and three component system showed very excellent resistance to freezing and thawing, and compound degradation.

포접화합물의 냉각특성에 대한 첨가제의 영향 (The Effects of Additives on the Cooling Characteristic of a Clathrate Compound)

  • This study was peformed to investigate the phase change temperature, the supercooling, the maintenance time of liquid phase and the change rate of volume of TMA 30 $wt\% clathrate compound with additives. TMA 30 $wt\% clathrate compound with additive was cooled at heat source temperature of $-6^{circ}C$. The additives are ethylene glycol and chloroform. Their concentration are 0.1$wt\% respectively. The experimental results showed that the phase change temperature was not affected by additives and this was average $5.3^{circ}C$. Also the supercooling and the maintenance time of liquid phase were decreased by additives. Especially, the average value of supercooling showed by $8.8^{circ}C$ and the maintenance time of liquid phase was by 19 minutes in the case of chloroform 0.1$wt\%. Additionally, the average change rate of volume showed by $1.26{\~}1.31\%$ according to additives and the volume was decreased by the phase change from liquid to solid.

  • A phase-change material (PCM) is a material that has the ability to delay heat transfer by absorbing heat from its environment or releasing heat to its environment while its phase changes from solid to liquid or liquid to solid at a specific temperature. As it is applied, it can contribute to environmental conservation such as energy savings and carbon dioxide emission reduction. In order for a PCM to store and release heat, the volume change during its phase transition should be large, and thus a phase transition space is required. When a PCM is used as a polymer additive, it is confined within the polymer, and there is no phase transition space; thus, its ability to absorb and release heat is significantly reduced. Therefore, in this study, porous silica was used to provide EVA/PCM compounds with sufficient space for their phase transition, and to improve the compatibility between the EVA and PCM, modified silica is used: surface-modified 5 wt% silica with 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The compound was prepared and compared with the silica compound. The presence or absence of the modified silica surface modification was confirmed using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis, the heat capacity of the compound was evaluated based on a differential scanning calorimetry analysis, and its mechanical strength and morphology were determined using scanning electron microscopy.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of Co, Co-Ti addition on the sintering characteristic of $(Ti_{1-x}Alx)N$ material synthesized by the direct nitriding method for a application as a cermet material. The observed shrinkage rates of $(Ti_{1-x}Alx)N$ pellets increase with the additive (Co, Co-Ti) content, temperature and time, and also the pellets with the same additive content exhibit the shrinkage behavior that depends on the Ti/Al ratio. However, although the shrinkage rates in this study is the mast higher (36%), the density of the sintered $(Ti_{1-x}Alx)N$ pellet is below 80% density in theory because of the partial segregation and the dense band defect of AlCo compound. Consequentely, it is considered that Co was not effective as a binder material because the wettability of liquid Co metal on $(Ti_{1-x}Alx)N$ materials is poor, In $(Ti_{1-x}Alx)N$ with Ti-Co additive, the stoichiometric TiN is transformed by the under-stoichiometric TiNx(x<1.0) during sintering, leading to the good properties such as hardnees and hot oxidation.

중엔트로피 합금 기지 위에 적층조형된 스테인리스강과 타이타늄 합금의 접합특성 분석 (Joint Properties of Stainless Steel and Titanium Alloys Additive Manufactured on Medium Entropy Alloys)

  • Additive manufacturing (AM) is a highly innovative method for joining dissimilar materials for industrial applications. In the present work, AM of STS630 and Ti-6Al-4V powder alloys on medium entropy alloys (MEAs) NiCrCo and NiCrCoMn is studied. The STS630 and Ti64 powders are deposited on the MEAs. Joint delamination and cracks are observed after the deposition of Ti64 on the MEAs, whereas the deposition of STS630 on the MEAs is successful, without any cracks and joint delamination. The microstructure around the fusion zone interface is characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Intermetallic compounds are formed at the interfacial regions of MEA-Ti64 samples. In addition, Vicker's hardness value increased dramatically at the joint interface between MEAs and Ti-6Al-4V compared to that between MEAs and STS630. This result is attributed to the brittle nature of the joint, which can lead to a decrease in the joint strength.

전선피복용 컴파운드의 제조에서 가소제의 종류와 첨가량에 따른 물성 변화 연구 (Study on Property Modification with Kind and Additive Amount of Plasticizer in the Manufacture of Compounds for Cable Sheath)

  • The four different polymer compounds were manufactured with the two kinds of plasticizers [(di-2-ethylhexyl sebacate(DOS), and di-2-butyl sebacate(DBS)] and two different additive amounts(18, 26 phr) of the same plasticizer for making cable sheath for ship. Ethylene-vinylacetate, ethylene-propylene-diene-copolymer as matrix polymers and ethylene-vinylacetate grafted maleic anhydride as coupling agent were selected for compounding with fire retardant, closslinking agent, filler, and other additives besides plasticizer. The compound including DOS showed the higher ${\Delta}T$ than that including DBS at the same additive amount in the rheology test. And with increasing plasticizer, the compounds resulted in lower tensile strength and higher elongation by lubricating effect of plasticizer. DOS yielded better aging resistance and cold resistance than DBS due to the good heat resistance and low solidifying point of DOS compared to DBS.

  • 수종의 Aspergillus속 및 Penicillium속 균이 생산하는 진균대사 산물인 kojic acid가 독성분해 활성제의 첨가유무에 관계없이 Chinese hamster 난소세포에 염색체 변이를 일으키는 것이 확인되었다. Kojic acid 처리량의 증가에 따라 염색체 변이 또한 증가되었다. Kojlc acid의 잠재독성에 관한 본 실험결과에 기초해 이는 일종의 변이 유기체로 추정되며 현재로는 식품첨가제로서의 사용에 문제가 있는 것으로 사료된다.

  • 온실조건에서 N-alylphthalimide계열의 신규 화합물 KSC-35089의 경엽 처리 활성을 조사하고, quizalofop-P-ethyl과의 혼합 경엽처리에 의한 상호작용성을 알아보았다. KSC-35089는 경엽처리에서 광엽초종에 대한 제초활성이 화본과 보다는 상대적으로 강한 특성이 있어 화본과 특이적 제초활성을 지닌 quizalofop-P-ethyl과의 혼합처리에 의한 비선택적 제초제로서의 이용 가능성을 시사하였다. 경엽처리 실험에서 두 화합물의 상호작용은 서로 독립적으로 제초효과를 발현하는 상가적관계로 나타났으며, 이러한 상가적 작용은 19종의 화본과와 26종의 광엽초종을 이용한 다초종간 반응에서 확인되었다. 온실조건에서 KSC-35089 64g ai/ha와 quizalofop-P-ethyl 32g ai/ha의 혼합 경엽처리는 공시된 광엽과 화본과 초종 모두를 90%정도 방제하여 비선택적 제초제로서의 사용가능성이 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 향후 이들 두 화합물의 상가적 상호작용에 대한 원인구명을 위한 추가 실험이 요구된다.
