  • To successfully carry out large scale research projects while su, pp.rting quality assurance of research output, effective and systematic management through utilization of resources such as manpower, time and cost as well as engineering techniques such as component technology and design methodology is required. It is necessary to establish development methodology to su, pp.rt quality assurance. The development methodology covers the contents and procedures of the project, such as division of the project into independently executable units, allocation of resources including researchers, component technology, related know-how and equipment, deployment of research units and integration of the project at the end. In this paper we present systematic development methodology for quality assurance in large scale software development projects by analyzing the contents of the methodology a, pp.ied to the Gigabit Information-processing And Networking Technology development project(GIALT).

  • The article proves the relevance of developing conceptual frameworks for managing the quality assurance of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants. It is established that the fundamental difference of the logistic approach in management from traditional approaches is the allocation of a single management function of previously separated, disparate material flows, as well as economic, technological, information integration of chain links into a single system capable of effective management of these flows. It is substantiated that the functioning of the enterprise as a logistics system can be represented in the form of a triad of logistics components, namely: supply logistics, production logistics, sales logistics. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants is a functional component of the entire logistics system due to the quality of work and interaction of all participants in the implementation of certain activities. The quality of logistics activities will affect the level of economic potential, rationalization and optimization of all logistics flows. It is proved that the management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants involves the following main areas: the introduction of a quality system of logistics processes; development and implementation of the general strategy of quality improvement at the enterprise; internal integration; controlling. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of its participants requires compliance with the following requirements: systematic and comprehensive management of all flow processes; coordination of criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the entire logistics system; dissemination of the use and application of information technology; ensuring partnerships and close interaction of all participants in sales networks.

  • 소프트웨어 컴포넌트 기반 개발을 통해 시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 검정되고 표준화된 컴포넌트가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트 개발 시범사업에 적용하기 위해 개발되었던 컴포넌트 품질 관리를 위한 접근방법을 제시한다. 컴포넌트 품질 명세, 품질 계획, 품질 통제, 품질 평가의 4단계로 구성된 품질관리 프로세스는 컴포넌트 개발시 품질 목표를 설정하고 설정된 목표를 달성하도록 유도한다. 이 때 컴포넌트 품질모형은 품질 요구사항을 측정가능한 품질 목표로 변환시키고 개발된 컴포넌트의 품질을 평가하는 근거로 사용하기 위해 제안되었다.

프로세스 패턴에 기반한 컴포넌트 품질보증 프로세스의 구축

  • 컴포넌트 기반 소프트웨어를 개발하기 위해서는 검증되고 표준화된 소프트웨어 컴포넌트가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 재사용가능한 프로세스 패턴을 기반으로 하여 컴포넌트 품질 보증 프로세스를 구축하는 접근방법을 제시하고 있다. 프로세스 패턴을 기술하기 위한 메타 모형과 컴포넌트 품질 보증을 위한 프로세스 패턴들을 정의하여, 컴포넌트 개발 상황에 맞게 품질보증 프로세스를 구축할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 이 접근방법을 실제 프로젝트에 적용한 사례를 보여주고 그 장단점을 토의하였다.

  • 최근 뉴스페이스 시대라고 불릴 만큼 우주 산업 분야는 점점 커져가고 있으며, 초소형 위성의 중요성도 또한 커지는 추세이다. 초소형 위성은 주로 COTS 부품을 사용하며 우주급 부품에 비해 낮은 신뢰도를 가지고 있지만 개발 기간, 비용, 성능 측면에서 장점을 가지고 있어 사용성이 확대되고 있다. COTS(Commercial Off-The-Shelf)는 상용으로 판매되는 제품을 가리키며, 이는 특정 조직이나 프로젝트에서 직접 제작하는 대신 시장에서 구입하여 사용되는 것을 의미한다. 위성은 발사되는 순간부터 수리가 불가능 하기 때문에 신뢰도 예측의 중요성은 크게 작용한다. 근래에는 신뢰도 예측 시 부품에 대한 인자 뿐만 아니라 시스템 level에서의 신뢰도를 예측하는 것이 더 중요하게 적용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 신뢰도 예측 규격인 MIL-HDBK-217F와 업데이트된 RiAC-HDBK-217Plus와 FIDES를 비교해 본다. 그리고 FIDES 예측 기준에서 다양한 산업 분야에 적용될 수 있도록 구성한 제조업체의 품질 보증 요소를 세분화하여 우주 산업에 적합한 점수가 반영될 수 있도록 하였다.

진료의 질관리에 대한 시론 -장애와 접근- (Quality Improvement in Patient Care Services : Obstacles and Approaches)

  • Patient care services are provided to individual patients in response to their health needs produced by illnesses or injuries. The services are often addressed to very serious conditions, and also they constitute the most expensive component of health care services. Therefore, the importance of quality is emphasized, but there are many indications that patient care quality is far from a satisfactory state in most of the countries. Based upon this observation, it is attempted to examine obstacles and approaches to quality improvement in patient care services. In doing so, following Taguchi's(1986) definition of product quality, quality of patient care services is conceived of as better when the less is the sociental loss attributalbe to variability of intended function and harmful side effects they emhibit after being delivered. Some distinguishing features of medical care sector pose difficulties in implementing effective quality improvement programs in patient care services. Nevertheless, newly proposed method of quality management, based on industrial quality management approach, seems to have a great deal of potential to effectively cope with such difficulties. This method, unlike the traditional approach to quality assurance, focuses on total organisational processes, not individuals, as the obproach to quality assurance, focuses on total organizational processes, not individuals, as the objects of quality improvement; variation, not comparison with standards, in quality measurement; and continuous improvement, not removing only bad quality care, as an ideal. Prerequisite to a successful use of any quality mangement method is motivating providers to improve quality. Conceivable approaches for such motivation are self-regulation, external controls and promotion of competition. Since these approaches are not mutually exclusive, they may be employed in an appropriate combination. In Korea, medical care providers are now functioning under the circumstances where they have little reason for making efforts to improve quality of their services. Once these circumstantial conditions are changed to exert pressures on providers to improve quality, the use of adequate quality management method becomes an issue. In this connection, much attention shoould be directed to the newly proposed method described above. In all these efforts for improving quality of patient care services, health insurance would be able to play a pivotal role. Poviders of medical care, buth indiciduals and organizations, are usually very responsive to the measures that affect their financing, and thus health insurance can be a strong instrument for motivationg providers to improve quality. Also, the insurance continuously acquires data on patient care, which could be processed to produce information required to effective quality control.

은행서비스 질이 소비자만족도 및 긍정적 구전에 미치는 영향 : 성별, 연령집단에 따른 비교 (The Effects of Banking Service Quality on Consumer Satisfaction andPositive Word-of- Mouth: With Special Comparisons according to Genderand Age Groups)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of banking service quality on consumer satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth. A total of 330 bank consumers were investigated between Sept. 11 and Oct. 11, 2006. After sorting through the data, the responses of 299 consumer ( > 24 yrs old) were used for analysis. SERVPERF, the performance component of the Service Quality scale (SERVQUAL), was used to measure the four dimensions of reliability, responsiveness/empathy, assurance, and tangibles. Responses were partitioned by age and gender. The major findings were as follows; The effect of service quality by SERVPERF on consumer satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth did not differ according to gender. However, positive recommendation in males was directy related to the technical quality evaluate. In females, higher the functional quality evaluate was directly related to higher positive word-of-mouth recommendation. The effect of service quality by SERVPERF on consumer satisfaction was not revealed differently according to age. However, with respect to respondents under the age of 45, tangibles and assurance had a positive relationship with word-of-mouth recommendation. Furthermore, the higher the functional quality evaluate, the higher the level of positive word-of-mouth. Responsiveness/empathy was the most significant factor on positive word-of-mouth recommendation in respondents over the age of 45. In this age group, the higher the technical quality evaluate, the higher the level of positive word-of-mouth recommendation. These results have implications for banking service managers, particularly in improving service quality to increase consumer satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth. Future research is needed to replicate this study using more broad and representative samples in order to test the generalization of these findings.

소프트웨어 컴포넌트 재사용성 측정 메트릭 (Software Component Reusability Metrics)

  • 소프트웨어의 개발 생산성 향상과 고품질의 소프트웨어 생산을 위해서 현재 컴포넌트 기반 개발(CBD)이 보편화되고 있다. 이러한 CBD는 소프트웨어의 재사용성을 높여 주며 개발기간 단축과 개발비용의 절감을 가져오고 있다. 이러한 장점 때문에 산업계에서는 맡은 부분을 컴포넌트로 만들려고 노력하고 있다. 그러나, 만들어진 소프트웨어 컴포넌트에 대해서 얼마나 품질이 좋은지, 또한 얼마나 재사용성이 있는가에 대한 검증은 아직 미흡한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 만들어진 소프트웨어 컴포넌트에 대한 품질 중 재사용성을 측정하는데 필요한 측정 방법을 제공한다. 재사용성의 측정 방법은 크게 간접적인 측정 기준과 직접적인 측정 기준으로 구분한다. 직접적인 측정 기준은 컴포넌트를 구성하는 클래스들과 컴포넌트의 인터페이스들을 조사해서 얻을 수 있는 방법을 말하는 것으로 컴포넌트의 크기, 복잡도, 결합도, 응집도 등을 측정한다. 간접적인 측정 기준은 이러한 직접적인 측정기준을 가지고 측정이 되는 기준으로서 이해도, 적용가능성, 수정가능성, 모듈화가능성이 있다. 이러한 간접적인 측정은 궁극적으로 재사용성의 측정에 사용이 된다. 이러한 직접적인 측정기준과 간접적인 측정을 이용해서 재사용성에 대한 측정을 해본 결과 소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 품질이 향상되면서 측정값이 재사용성에 도움을 주는 방향으로 변화하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 차량동역학제어시스템은 복잡하고 비선형이므로 잠금방지 제동시스템 및 자동주행시스템 개발에 어려움이 있다. 차량절대속도를 추정하기 위해 퍼지 로직 기법이 최근 적용되어 정상적인 조건에서 만족할 만한 결과를 얻고 있다. 그러나 급격한 제동시 추정오차가 크게 발생되었다. 본 논문에서는 휠 속도 센서를 이용하여 무인 컨테이너 운송차량의 절대속도를 추정하기 위해, 뉴럴 네트워크 모델의 방사대칭 기저함수와 주성분 분석법을 적용하여 10개의 추정 알고리즘중 오차를 4% 이내로 추정할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제시하였다.

  • The automation of production process is actively expanding for the purpose of the cost reduction and quality assurance. Among these, automatic tracking of the product along the whole process of the production is also important topic. Typically this is done by adopting OCR technology. Conventional OCR technology operates well on the rather good quality of the image like as printed characters on the paper. In industrial application, IDs are marked on the metal surface, and this cause the height difference between background material and character. Illumination systems that guarantee an image with good quality may be a solution, but it is rather difficult to design such an illumination system. This paper proposes an algorithm for the recognition of vehicle's ID characters using edge projection and PCA (Principal Component Analysis). Proposed algorithm robustly operates under illumination change using the same parameters. Experimental results show the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.
