The automatic assembly system of micro optical filter is a key technology in the development of optical modules with high functionality. In order to create such automatic assembly system of optical filter, we have developed the system and program capable of evaluation of $30\mum$-thick film optical filter as well as conventional optical filters performances. Moreover, we have carried out the evaluation of optical filter using developed system and program, and we have compared and analyzed them with by conventional hand work. As results, the measured performances based on the present system are more fast, precise and reliable then those of the conventional hand work. In addition to that, the system can apply for various optical collimators and filters.
This paper deals with the cycle time minimization problem that determines the productivity in printed circuit board (PCB) with n components using the m placement machines. This is known as production cycle time determination problem (PCTDP). The polynomial time algorithm to be obtain the optimal solution has been unknown yet, therefore this hard problem classified by NP-complete. This paper gets the initial assignment result with the machine has minimum unit placement time per each component firstly. Then, the balancing process with reallocation from overhead machine to underhead machine. Finally, we perform the swap optimization and get the optimal solution of cycle time $T^*$ within O(mn) computational complexity. For experimental data, the proposed algorithm can be obtain the same result as integer programming+branch-and-bound (IP+B&B) and B&B.
Up to now, Collimators have been generally produced by handwork and only a few companies have produced by semi-automatic system. Under this situation, automatic system for assembly of optical collimator has risen as a most essential technique in the development of optical communication components. In this study, it was constructed to develop optical collimators with high functionality and We manufactured optical collimators with a GRIN rod lens using automatic system. Therefore, we worked a performance test through a comparison of collimators made by automatic system and handwork with angle alignment, beam size. Also we compared common product with auto-manufactured sample. As a result, it brought a reduction of the tact time and an improvement of an efficiency and a productivity of optical collimators. therefore it was found that automatic system was indispensable for materialization of optical collimators with high functionality.
In this paper, we have proposed a simple finite element model for separation mode analysis on the roadwheel and track assembly of main battle tank and established a contact stress-based mechanism which could explain the initiation and growth of separation defect occurred during the test of padreplacable track. It was proved that the longitudinal contact shear stress component on the pin hole region of the track shoe body which is parallel to the driving direction is consistent with the crack initiation at the bonding surface between track shoe and wheel-side rubber. The longitudinal shear stress increased locally near the separated region after the separation initiated. So we could assume that the local stress concentration accelerates the separation growth according to the shear mode.
The automatic assembly system of micro optical filter is a key technology in the development of optical modules with high functionality. In order to develop an automatic assembly system of optical fiber and filter, we have firstly developed the system and program capable of characterization of 30${\mu}m$-thick film filters as well as conventional optical filters. Moreover, we have carried out the characterization of optical filter using the developed system and program, and compared experimental results with by conventional handwork. The measurement of optical filters using the present system is faster, more precise and more reliable than those based on the conventional handwork.
Bottom hole assembly(BHA) is a key component of the drilling system, consisting of various components and tools(including the drill bit and mud motor) which operate at the bottom of the wellbore and physically drill the rock. This paper investigates the dynamic characteristics of the mud motor which is a drilling propulsion tool. And computational structural analysis is performed to calculate the von-Mises stress and the safety factor of components constituting the mud motor. In this process, the field test data of onshore drilling are used for analysis.
Dislocation after a total hip arthroplasty occurs in approximately 1% of patients; however, the frequency is much higher after revision surgery. To prevent dislocation, use of a larger femoral head is recommended, and a dual mobility femoral head has been introduced. However, reducing the dual mobility femoral head to the acetabular component is difficult in cases involving contracture in the soft tissue around the joint. A 72-year-old male patient who developed a periprosthetic joint infection underwent two-stage revision surgery using MUTARS®. Two months after the revision, the hip joint became dislocated and manual reduction was attempted; however, dislocation occurred again. During another revision using a dual mobility bearing, the soft tissue around the hip joint was too tight to reduce. The problem was overcome by first repositioning the dual mobility head into the acetabular socket, followed by assembly of the diaphyseal portion of the implant.
In this study, we consider a component procurement planning problem where the procurement amounts of components are determined under assemble-to-order systems with demand uncertainty. In the problem, procurement amount of each component is decided before the demands of finished products are known and after the demands are identified the assembly amounts of the finished products are decided. In this study, the objective function of the problem is minimizing the total costs which are composed of purchase and inventory costs of the components and the backorder costs of the finished products. We assume that the uncertain demand information is given as multiple scenarios of the demands, and we propose procurement planning methods based on stochastic models which considering the multiple demand scenarios. To evaluate the performances of the proposed methods, computational experiments were carried out on the proposed methods as well as benchmarks including a method based on deterministic mathematical model and a heuristic. From the results of the computational tests, the superiorities of the proposed methods were shown.
