  • The object of this study is to understand of the effectiveness characteristic in the field work which is controlled by the quality in the high-rise residential-commercial complex building. From the previous study, the quality improvement factors are investigated. Through the structured questionnaire, the opinions of the field engineers(University, Design firms, Construction company) are gathered in the improvement factors of construction phase. Comparing the results of questionnaire with the conception of field engineers, this study helps in revising and improving the quality control system including tangible factors and intangible factors in the frame work of the high-rise residential-commercial complex building project.

  • The relation between the vibration induced from machinery and the radiated sound is complicated. Acoustic intensity method is widely used to obtain the accuracy of noise identification. In this study, as groundwork, the complex acoustic intensity method is performed to identify noise source and transmission path on different free space point source fields. From the numerical analysis for these simple fields, it is possible to predict the sound field characteristics which noise sources are related with each other, and certificate the validity of complex acoustic intensity. As an industrial application, the complex acoustic intensity method is applied a diesel engine to identify sound radiation characteristics in the near field.

  • Enormous apartment complexes in urban areas, temporary inversion state and heat island effect occur due to the strong sunshine and weak wind speeds which hinders the dispersion of air pollutants that are emitted from neighboring areas of apartment complexes. In this study, analysis were conducted by using the Fluent code based on the CFD(Computation Fluid Dynamics), including building layout, material, building height from the ground surface, the heat, analysis of flow field in the apartment complex. It was estimated that the temporal radiation inversion phenomenon during the daytime, which was caused by the weak wind speed and higher temperatures in the upper level, contributed to the stagnation of the air pollutants in the lower layer of the apartment complex.

  • In this study, we focused on the improvements in the simulation of sea surface wind over the complex coastal area. MM5 model being currently used to predict sea surface wind at Korea Meteorological Administration, was used to verify the accuracy to estimate the local wind field. A case study was performed on clear days with weak wind speed(4 m/s), chosen by the analysis of observations. The model simulations were conducted in the southeastern area of Korea during the selected periods, and observational data such as AWS, buoy and QuikSCAT were used to compare with the calculated wind components to investigate if simulated wind field could follow the tendency of the real atmospheric wind field. Results showed that current operational model, MM5, does not estimate accurately sea surface wind and the wind over the coastal area. The calculated wind speed was overestimated along the complex coastal regions but it was underestimated in islands and over the sea. The calculated diurnal changes of wind direction could not follow well the tendency of the observed wind, especially at nighttime. In order to exceed the limitations, data assimilation with high resolution data and more specificated geographical information is expected as a next best policy to estimate accurately the environment of local marine wind field.

  • The urban microscale wind field around the air quality monitoring station was investigated in order to check how a building complex influences it. For this study as the high density areas Jwa-dong and Yeonsan-dong monitoring sites in Busan were chosen. As the direction of inflow which is perpendicular to the building of the monitoring station was expected to cause the considerable variation of the wind field, that direction was selected. The model Envi-met was used as the diagnostic numerical model for this study. It is suitable for this investigation because Envi-met has the microscale resolution. After simulating it, on the leeward side around a building complex the decrease of flow velocity and some of vortexes or circulation area were discovered. In addition, on the edge of the top at the building and at the back of the building the upward flow was developed. If the sampling hole of monitoring site were located in this upward flow, it would be under the influence of upward flow from the near street.

  • a crack with electrically impermeable surfaces in an electrostrictive material subjected to uniform electric loading is analysed. A strip yield zone model is employed to investigate the effect of electric yielding on stress intensity factor. complete forms of electric fields and elastic fields for the crack are derived by using complex function theory. /the stress intensity factors are obtained based on the strip yield zone model.

  • The level-m scaled circulant factor matrix over the complex number field is introduced. Its diagonalization and spectral decomposition and representation are discussed. An explicit formula for the entries of the inverse of a level-m scaled circulant factor matrix is presented. Finally, an algorithm for finding the inverse of such matrices over the quaternion division algebra is given.

  • We deal with the classification problem of real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space. In order to classify real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space we characterize a real hypersurface M in $H_n(\mathbb{C})$ whose structure vector field is not principal. We also construct extrinsically homogeneous real hypersurfaces with four distinct curvatures and their structure vector fields are not principal.
