Development of Checker-Switch Error Detection System using CNN Algorithm (CNN 알고리즘을 이용한 체커스위치 불량 검출 시스템 개발)

  • Various automation studies have been conducted to detect defective products based on product images. In the case of machine vision-based studies, size and color error are detected through a preprocessing process. A situation may arise in which the main features are removed during the preprocessing process, thereby decreasing the accuracy. In addition, complex systems are required to detect various kinds of defects. In this study, we designed and developed a system to detect errors by analyzing various conditions of defective products. We designed the deep learning algorithm to detect the defective features from the product images during the automation process using a convolution neural network (CNN) and verified the performance by applying the algorithm to the checker-switch failure detection system. It was confirmed that all seven error characteristics were detected accurately, and it is expected that it will show excellent performance when applied to automation systems for error detection.

  • PDM is an integrated solution for managing various kinds of document and information for a whole life~cycle of product management. PDM system spans a huge and complex area and requires so many efforts and budgets for development. A framework has been considered a promising way to improve productivity by reusing the software architecture, not just one part of the design or just source code. This was the reaSon why we developed PDM (Product Data Management) framework. Framework can reduce the time and efforts to develop a new PDM application. However, it also requires supporting environment since a framework is a big set of classes where their interactions are so complex. With this supporting environment, it is easy to understand the framework at a glance and easy to identify what hot spots to be refined to meet new requirements. In this paper, a new framework-supporting reuse environment based on the meta-repository was constructed for easy and convenient reuse.

Simulated Annealing for Overcoming Data Imbalance in Mold Injection Process (사출성형공정에서 데이터의 불균형 해소를 위한 담금질모사)

  • The injection molding process is a process in which thermoplastic resin is heated and made into a fluid state, injected under pressure into the cavity of a mold, and then cooled in the mold to produce a product identical to the shape of the cavity of the mold. It is a process that enables mass production and complex shapes, and various factors such as resin temperature, mold temperature, injection speed, and pressure affect product quality. In the data collected at the manufacturing site, there is a lot of data related to good products, but there is little data related to defective products, resulting in serious data imbalance. In order to efficiently solve this data imbalance, undersampling, oversampling, and composite sampling are usally applied. In this study, oversampling techniques such as random oversampling (ROS), minority class oversampling (SMOTE), ADASYN(Adaptive Synthetic Sampling), etc., which amplify data of the minority class by the majority class, and complex sampling using both undersampling and oversampling, are applied. For composite sampling, SMOTE+ENN and SMOTE+Tomek were used. Artificial neural network techniques is used to predict product quality. Especially, MLP and RNN are applied as artificial neural network techniques, and optimization of various parameters for MLP and RNN is required. In this study, we proposed an SA technique that optimizes the choice of the sampling method, the ratio of minority classes for sampling method, the batch size and the number of hidden layer units for parameters of MLP and RNN. The existing sampling methods and the proposed SA method were compared using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 Score to prove the superiority of the proposed method.

Study on Effective Treatment of Waste Gases in Chung-Ju Industrial Complex with Polymeric Absorbent( I ) (고분자담지제에 의한 청주공단내 공장배기가스의 효율적 처리기술대책에 관한 연구(I) -청주공장내 공장배기가스 조사 및 분석을 중심으로-)

  • The exhausted gases were analyzed and the countermeasures were studied to solve the environmental pollution caused by waste gases in Chung-Ju Industral Complex. The eleven working places were selected to analysis the compositions and concentrations of the exhausted gases by gas chromatograph and membrane method. The five companies which have used organic solvents were shown lower content than TLV and the environmental limits. But the concentration of lead in a electric product company was revealed higher than TLV. The waste gases of the four companies which have used asbestos were shown lower values than TLV and the environmental limit. The exhausted gases, SO$_2$and NO$_2$of two companies which have used fossile fuels were also analyzed. The NO$_2$concentration of one company which haven't disposal system was shown higher than the environmental limit.

  • In this study, the author introduces a supply-chain management (SCM) solution that connects suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and other companies within a transactional relationship to enable efficient inventory management and timely product supply, which ultimately maximizes corporate profits. This proposed solution exploits Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), which provide solutions to complex management issues generated by the broader market. The goal of the current study was to develop an advanced and intelligent smart SCM solution that complies with logistics standards, to enhance the visibility, safety, and efficiency of a supply chain made up of manufacturers and suppliers. This smart SCM solution aims at maximizing corporate profits through efficient inventory management and timely supply of products, and solves the complex management problems caused by operating within a wide range of markets.

  • The Fashion Distribution Business (FDB) is thriving to such an extent that the current period is called "The Era of Fashion." This FDB shows tendencies towards specialzation, globalization and expansion. The domestic FDB has been rapidly globalizing, and thus it is time for us to recognize that the fashion business has grown beyond its former role as a production-oriented retail business to include multiple new roles. This strategy to plant Store Identity on customers is just a Visual Merchandising (VMD) Strategy. That is, a strategy to visualize the Product Planning, which can be called a Complex Visual Expressing Technical System that classifies and arranges products in order to be easily seen, chosen, and bought through exhibition and arrangement. My aim is to break away from the conept that has been focused only on display division and to present product scheme correctly and to establish a VMD Plan which can also contribute to sales promotion by providing infirmation and arranging Store Display efficiently for customers. A Study on Reliability of Japanese Home Network Unit Development

  • This paper describes the issues that must be considered for the diagnosis and improvement of home network systems during the product development phase, and what must be done to resolve the reliability problem when a system is about to enter the Japanese market. It suggests that after the product specifications are determined, an accurate analysis of the environment is needed, and should include factors such as the temperature, humidity and power source of the country concerned. Furthermore, the video standards, residential complex installation environment, wiring specifications, and approval standards must be considered. All the above processes are described in this paper through the case study. The purpose of this paper is that suggested procedures in this research is to be used as a reference for developing similar products in the future.

  • South Korean self support rate for the grain product is less than 25oyo, and depends on the imported product for the national food supply. Therefore, there is imminent need for development of agricultural decision support system using GIS which provides various useful informations for a more accurate agricultural policy making. Agricultural decision making processes are complex due to complicated current international political situations, and the erratic weather condition like that Elnino, flood and drought etc. Hence, global scale GIS and analytical applications has implemented for solving the agricultural problems above mentioned in this study. As the results, the executable decision process with GIS developed well adopted for the rice cultivable area estimation in the world.

  • Manufacturing is characterized by increasing product variety and technical complexity, decreasing levels of demand, expanding global competition and declining profitability of organizations. To survive in such a complex environment, development of the automatic design system into design and manufacturing can be introduced to increase the flexibility and adaptability to markets. This paper presents the development of an automatic water-gate design system that composed of a main program and three modules, and was programmed by AutoLISP language under AutoCAD system. The devel-oped system is capable of generating water-gate design automatically according to input data as customer requirement.

A Novel Drug Delivery System Design for Meloxicam

  • A drug delivery system(DDS) for practically insoluble meloxicam was developed and evaluated by dissolution study. A novel DDS is two layered system, where the first layer is consisted of gas-forming agent for an immediate release and the second layer is composed of metolose SR(HPMC) for sustained release. This bilayered tablets were manufactured by using manual single punch machine. The results of dissolution study showed an initial burst release followed by sustained release for the experimental period time. From a pharmaceutical point of view, the designed DDS for meloxicam would be informative system in terms of poorly soluble analgesic medicines.
