The issues of generation, delivery, and processing of information which have been treated importantly in information design field have evolved along with the evolution of the humankind. In the modern society, the vast amount of, complex, and artificial forms of information such as big-data is accounted for the majority and claims of interest focusing on how to effectively design those kinds of information are being increased. This study explored the visualization methods applied with the natural objects as motives as one of the ways for users to easily get their perception and cognition to the information. Nature has long influenced on the human figural activities. The natural objects take the optimum visual shapes and provide the diverse inspiration and emotion to the designers in the various design fields such as product design, architecture design, and so on. Through the literature studies, we suggested the compositional principles of natural objects and the principles for observing and analysing natural objects as a principle to use the natural objects for information design domain. We, also, suggested the information design approach model which is inspired the natural objects by linking those two kinds of principles to the information design's visual realization factors and explored the possibilities of utilizing of the approach model by the case studies.

Nowadays, spatiotemporal data models deal with objects which can be potentially useful for wide range applications in order to describe complex objects with spatial and/or temporal facilities. However, the information needed by each application usually varies, specially in the geographic information which depends on the kind of time oriented views, as defined in the modeling phase of the spatiotemporal geographic data design. To be able to deal with such diverse needs, geographic information systems must offer features that manipulate geometric, space-dependent(i.e, thematic), and spatial relationship positions with multiple time oriented views. This paper addresses problems of the formal definition of relationships among spatiotemporal objects and their properties on geographic information systems. The geographical data are divided in two main classes : geo-objects and geo-fields, which describe discrete and continuous representations of the spatial reality. I study semantics and syntax about the temporal changes of attributes and the relationship roles on geo-objects and non-geo-objects, This result will contribute on the design of object oriented spatiotemporal data model which is distinguishied from the recent geographic information system of the homogeneously anchored spatial objects
To investigate the forecasting of plant disease and insect for an agricultural complex and farm in environment-friendly cultivation of Rice, environment-friendly agricultural five complexs and five farms were selected in Youngam and Naju area, Jonnam, Korea. Preventation objects of plant disease and insect were leaf blast, neck blast, sheath blight, bacterial leaf blight, and hopper. Factors of sheath blight occurrence in environment-friendly agricultural complex were a fast transplanting time and a narrow planting density. Bacterial leaf blight in rice occurred severely in the area under water. Rice growth in environment-friendly agricultural complex was decreased heavy drying by hopper appearance.

These days, in order to satisfy the complex and various demands of the customers, the telecommunication networks must provide rapid and flexible services, with the support of efficient service and network management systems. To satisfy these requirements, many objects for management have been released to manage network services and elements. But there are no efficient ways to manage these newly managed objects in object-oriented software. Therefore, we study several problems, when a subsystem using object-oriented technique is implemented. The first problem is that interface works between realized application programs using its technique. The second problem is that reusability of internal managed objects is difficult. In this paper, we will point out some problems and to solve these problems, we have proposed the Object Management System (OMS) architecture, which supports a transparent interface between object-oriented applications and the distributed data repositories. Also in order to manage efficient business objects stored in the different repositories, we suggest a method for integrating dynamic information resources in heterogeneous and distributed network environments. Finally, we applied OMS to TINA(Telecommunication Information Network Architecture) domain, implemented OMS, and verified it with SMV(Symbolic Model Verifier) which is model checking technology.

This paper proposes an algorithm for recovering the colors of objects from multiple near-infrared (near-IR) images. The International Commission on Illumination (CIE) color coordinates of objects are recovered from a series of gray images captured under multiple spectral near-IR illuminations using polynomial regression. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm is tested experimentally by using 24 color patches of the Color Rendition Chart. The experimental apparatus is composed of a monochrome digital camera without an IR cut-off filter and a custom-designed LED illuminator emitting multiple spectral near-IR illuminations, with peak wavelengths near the red edge of the visible band, namely at 700, 740, 780, and 860 nm. The average color difference between the original and the recovered colors for all 24 patches was found to be 11.1. However, if some particular patches with high value are disregarded, the average color difference is reduced to 4.2, and this value is within the acceptability tolerance for complex image on the display.
This paper suggests an efficient method to extract face regions from the com]]lex background. Input image is transformed to color space, where the data is independent of the brightness and several regions are extracted by skin color information. Each extracted region is processed as an object. Noise and overlapped objects ate removed. The candidate objects, faces are likely to be included in, are selected by checking the sizes of extracted objects, the XY ratio, and the distribution ratio of skin colors. In this processing, the objects without face are excluded out of candidate regions. The proposed method can be applied for successful extraction of face regions under various conditions such as face extraction with complex background, slanted faces, and face with accessories, etc.

The explosively growing attractiveness of the Web is commencing significant demands for a structuring analysis on various web objects. The larger the substantial number of web objects are available, the more difficult for the clients(i.e. common web users and web robots) and the servers(i.e. Web search engine) to retrieve what they really want. We have in mind focusing on the structure of web objects by introducing optimization models for more convenient and effective information retrieval. For this purpose, we represent web objects and hyperlinks as a directed graph from which the optimal structures are derived in terms of rooted directed spanning trees and Top-k trees. Computational experiments are executed for synthetic data as well as for real web sites' domains so that the Lagrangian Relaxation approaches have exploited the Top-k trees and Hop constraint resolutions. In the experiments, our methods outperformed the conventional approaches so that the complex web graph can successfully be converted into optimal-structured ones within a reasonable amount of computation time.

Assisted by high technologies of information and communication in storing and collecting moving object information, many applications have been developing technical methods to exploit databases of moving objects effectively and variously. Among them, today, Current and Anticipated Future Position Indexing methods manage current positions of moving objects in order to anticipate future positions of them or more complex future queries. They, however, strongly demand update performance as fast enough to guarantee certainty of queries as possible. In this paper, we propose a new indexing mettled derived from the TPR-tree that should has update performance considerably improved, we named it BUR-tree. In our method, index structure can be inserted, deleted, and updated with a number (or bulk) of objects simultaneously rather than one object at a time as in conventional methods. This method is intended to be applied to a traffic network in which vast number of objects, such as cars, pedestrians, moves continuously.

One of the main problems in evaluating complex objects, such as an ill-defined system, is how to treat ambiguous aspect of the evaluation. Due to the Complexity and ambiguity of the objects, many types of evaluation attributes should be identified based on the rational dsision. One of these attributes is an analytical hierarchy process (AHP). the weight of evaluation attribtes in AHP however comes from the probability measure based on the additivity. Therefore, it is notapplicable to the objects which have the property of non-additivity. In the previous studies by other researchers they intriduced the Hierarchical Fuzzy Integral method or mergd AHP and fuzzy measure for the analysis of the overlaps among the evaluation objects. But, they need more anlyses in terms of transformation of the probability measure into fuzzy measure which fits for the additivity and overlapping coefficient which affects to the fuzzy measure. Considering these matters, this paper deals that, ⅰ) clarifying the relation between the fuzzy and probability measure adopted in AHP, ii) calculating directly the family of fuzzy measure from the overlapping coefficient and probability measure. A simple algorithm for the calculation of fuzzy measures and set family of those from the above results is also proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the algorithm developed by applying this to the problems for estimation of safety in ship berthing and for evaluation of ports in competition is verified. This implied that the new algoritnm gives better description of the system evaluation.

It is proposed in TINA, the open information telecommunication network architecture, that the definition of object group which is collection of objects provides a decrease of complex networking and a facility of object managing by service executing of application on distributed computing environment. Based on a new distributed object group model[13] we have been researched according to TINA specification, this paper proposed the object group model with the scheduler object and objects management mechanisms that can support real-time services on CORBA. To do this, we described the definition of object grouping and the requirements to suggest the object group model supporting real-time service, designed the object group structure and functional components containing in an object group using James Rumbaugh's modelling[12], and showed a class diagram of components in an object group. This paper designed IDLs of an object group manager and scheduler among the components, and finally showed the procedures of management and service interconnections between objects in the different object groups vi ETD.
