The purposes of this study are to identify the characteristics of inner-city industrial community and to analyse the subsistence mode of small manufacturing enterprises in the industrial community in Taegu Metropolitan area. The case study area, Nowon 1. 2-ga dong, is the typical inner city industrial community, adjacent to old industrial complex, which was recently transformed from semi -industrial to semi-residential zoning district. Now there are many old one story housing, newly constructed multi stories housing and many small factories of metal and machinery products. The conflicts of between residents and small business owners are not serious but latent. The subsistence mode of small manufacturing enterprises in this area is characterized as the network production system. The main attributes of this mode are local integration, horizontal subcontracting and strong industrial linkages in production processes and transactions. These transactions are mainly made by face-to-face contacts. The small business owners' local social networks are seen as series of units which are interconnected through various types of social and business relations. They exchange business information as using social networks. In addition, the majority of them join local social clubs with their local business counterpartners. Finally, the locational advantages of inner-city industrial community are production network, different industrial linkages and characteristic industrial milieu such as social solidarity, informal labor market and incubator effects. But these advantages are being challenged from the contradiction between capital and laned property and the urban gentrification policy. Accordingly, there should be positive redevelopment policy considering the subsistence mode of small business in these areas.
The dust chute was a part of equipment in apartment which have been settled down as new residential style in this country since 1960s. However, the dust chute was destructed by results of social discussion, and it ended up old remains which cannot be found in new towns. Nowadays, chute was substituted a collecting system from extra collecting sites which were prepared near residential area. This phenomenon was caused by the poor separating collection. Since the early part of 1995, the whole vocal operating the volume-base charge system has been placed as the institution capable of recycling and separating collection of residential wastes in this country. People pursue the residential quality which is suitable to the Greenround period. Such a diverse effort corresponding to the social change can be also accomplished in the field of waste collecting transportation. In this paper, the local heating system and waste combustion site and hollow are already applied to the new residential area in the form of housing development. After investigating of the waste collecting transportation method in other countries related to such facilities, this paper represents the feasibility and applicability of pneumatic waste collection system which is used practically in the new housing complex and large facilities in other countries.

Landscape indices are effective tools to explain the spatial structure and patterns of ecological landscape including area/density, shape, core area, isolation/proximity, contagion/interspersion, and connectivity. More than 100 indices have been developed and an increasing amount of research explains changes in urban spaces using the indices. However, landscape indices have a high level of sensitivity to the scale of analysis - grain size and extent. If the scale sensitivity of indices is not considered, the research may produce inaccurate results. This study examines the scale sensitivity of landscape indices to find relatively stable indices in the complex geographical features of Korea. The scale sensitivity was analyzed using 20 categories of grain size and 41 categories of extent change. Landsat TM and ETM+ images of five years - 1985, 1991, 1996, 2000 and 2003 - were used, and 54 class level indices mounted on the FRAGSTATS program were examined. The results are as follows: First, according to the analysis of the scale sensitivity, 19 out of 54 class level indices were found to be stable to scale change. Second, the scale sensitivity was closely related to the green area ratio, and the typical threshold of change was $40{\sim}50%$. Third, among the 16 indices which were frequently used in the research in Korea, only 6 indices were relatively stable to the scale change. These results can be an effective basis for the selection of indices in the landscape ecology research in Korea.
While a vast number of cad drawings are produced in the life cycle of construction projects from the planning, design, and construction phases to the maintenance and control phases, the creation and distribution of non-standard drawings make it difficult for the construction parties to communicate with one another and to recycle, maintain, and control drawings by project phase. The Korea standard of CAD drawing in construction CALS/EC, which stipulates the standard for construction CAD drawings, is based on roads, rivers, and railways in line- and unit-based structures, allowing the creation of standardized CAD drawings. Such standard, however, cannot be easily applied to construction projects with multiple facilities like harbors, housing sites, or lands consisting of surface forms. In particular, port field consist of complex docks and amenities located in a certain coastal area based on multiple objectives. They also contain the concept of housing sites, like background land, and are composed of various civil engineering facilities, construction facilities, and port field, so that the existing CAD drawing standard cannot be easily implemented. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to maximize the efficiency of the information related to drawing information and to ultimately support smooth information exchanges in construction design by conducting a development research on the expansion of the CAD drawing standard that meets the needs of port field.

There is a high demand for off-base dwellings around Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek in accordance with the USFK base relocation project, but their residential planning needs to reflect their requirements. On the other hand, no studies that examined their requirements directly have been found. This study examined the requirements of USFK stationed in Camp Humphreys to identify their requirements. In general, residential planning requires a determination of the demand-based location and size, identification of the facility elements required for the site plan, and analysis of detailed architectural planning elements required for the building plan. Among these, preference analysis of the off-base dwelling demand, location, and site planning elements were performed in this study, and the architectural planning elements were left as following studies. The analysis showed that the demand for off-base dwellings is high, rental houses are preferred, and the commuting time is the most important factor in the location. In addition, while enjoying urban convenience, the location of the foothills near nature is preferred, the importance of the orientation is low and living with Koreans is not a problem. In addition, the demands for exercise facilities in the complex are relatively high.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of the indoor air quality by season. The surveyed houses were 48 new apartment complex in 2012 across the country. The houses were carried out the bakeout before the test. The measuring method was "Indoor air quality testing standards process" and the measured items were formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, styrene average emissions. All the items were more emitting during the summer. From June to September the average concentration of formaldehyde emission was higher than other seasons. The average emissions of benzene concentrations in all seasons were released in small quantities. Average emissions of toluene and ethylbenzene concentration from April to August showed slightly higher emissions. Xylene and styrene concentration showed the highest emissions at April, but without large deviations throughout the year.
This study aims at suggesting directions to make children's parks considering the actual groups using them by comparative analysis of age distribution in residents within area of use and locations of children's parks with regards to changes in population structure of low birth rate and aging. Cheongju was selected for the study, and the current status of children's parks and population structure were categorized into six stages and the investigation and analysis were conducted by statistics by population group and by using Arc GIS Program. As a result of the analysis, children under 13 were 13.1% of the entire population in Cheongju and share of middle-aged and aged group including middle-aged was 31.3%. Park area per one children under 13 was 5.9㎡ and based on walking use area(250m), average number of parks available by autonomous district was eight. As a result of the analysis of characteristics of distribution of children's parks, they are densely located in old downtowns or the distribution density was relatively high in newly developed areas such as Osong-eup or Ochang-eup. However, outer rural areas have no children's parks or relatively low rate. As a result of the analysis on population structure and co-efficient of park location, in nine autonomous districts, aged group is increasing, leading to decrease use of children's parks. If resident rate aged group is higher in the region where a children's park is located, it is necessary to re-compose the existing one to different one or to change purposes of parks to be planned. Also, in the area with similar rates in both children's group and aged group, composing complex parks for both of them could be considered. This study has limitations by not conducting field studies about the current status of use of children's parks in areas where the population structure has been changing and not suggesting specifically new types of parks according to changes in population structure. It is necessary to conduct the following studies about relationship between children's parks and policies for composing parks responding to changes in population structure in neighboring regions in future.

In the studies on residential move, there has been tendency of dichotomy where short distance moves are largely caused by housing to adjust to changes in households while long distance moves are induced by shift in labor market. However, some empirical studies have proven that residential move is so complex process that the simple dichotomy should be elaborated. In this sense, the present study seeks to identify compounded course of residential move in Korea. In determining migration history, families with younger householders, renters, householders with higher educational attainment and smaller households show a higher probability to move. In case of mobility, women were more prone to move compared to man. Women compared to man, older age augmented the probability to own a house after migration. Families with householders following an occupation of sales and technical service showed lowest tendency to own houses while it marked the highest in the group of professionals. Higher land price of a region was negatively related to owning houses after migration. The present study revealed that factors in macro level as well as micro level significantly affect the move of individuals with varying effects in accordance with migration history.

Noise level and Airflow amount of a kitchen hood are affected by the conditions of airflow path. Thus this study is expected to be used as a basic reference in designing airflow path of apartment housing throughout analysing changes in noise level and airflow amount from the various conditions of airflow path. Noise level generated by the kitchen hood is estimated in a kitchen and a living room of two constructed apartment houses, and an experiment is conducted in an half anechoic chamber to analyze noise level and airflow amount by the different length, diameter and number of windings of a round shaped soft duct which is connected to the kitchen hood. The measured results in apartment houses show that the noise level in both apartments exceeds the NC standard greatly in living spaces. In apartment A, a regular apartment house, the noise level was $NC-65{\sim}75$, $NC-45{\sim}60$ and NC-70, NC-45 in the kitchen and living room with an operation of kitchen hood in 1 and 3 stages. In apartment B, an apartment complex, the noise level was NC-55 and NC-60 in the kitchen and living room with an operation of kitchen hood in 3 stages. In particular, there was an increase of noise level at 125Hz-band resulted from an amplification of sound, which requires adequate measures in noise reduction. The results measured in Half anechoic chamber show 99% of airflow amount increase with the modification of a duct' s diameter from ${\Phi}$ 100mm to ${\Phi}$ 125mm, 37% of airflow amount increase with the modification of a duct' s diameter from ${\Phi}$ 125mm to ${\Phi}$ 150mm, and 173% of airflow amount increase with the modification of a duct' s diameter from ${\Phi}$ l00mm to ${\Phi}$ 150mm. The noise level was lower than the level measured in apartment housing about 20 in NC-value and 11.4 in dB(A)-value, which was interpreted as the effect of the load by the pressure condition at the rear end of the duct. Also, an amplification of sound in 125Hz-band influenced NC-value considerably, therefore effective measure is needed.
This study investigated price factors for large apartment complexes in Seoul during the COVID-19 pandemic and compared Gangnam and non-Gangnam areas, which have been recognized as heterogeneous markets. We find that the change in apartment prices in large-scale complexes did not significantly affect the individual characteristics of apartments, unlike previous studies, but was affected by macroeconomic variables such as interest rates and money. On the other hand, considering the units of the interest rate and total monetary volume variables, the effects of two variables on the apartment sales price is significantly high. In addition, the Gangnam area model analysis shows that apartment prices are greatly affected by interest rates and currency volume, and, the non-Gangnam area model analysis shows that apartment prices are greatly affected by interest rates and currency volume, but the degrees are different from the Gangnam area model. Overall, our study shows that interest rates and money supply were the main factors of apartment price changes, but apartment prices in non-Gangnam areas are more sensitive to changes in interest rates and money supply.
