  • Nowadays, according to the interests in the environmental infinity for the housing complex, there are various studies going on for setting general ideas and plans of them. And in some of the leading places are applied by the infinity of the natural environment. So, by this study, I analyzed the classification and the system of the infiltrated facilities for the rainwater and then suggested the problems about these and the studies for the generalization of the infiltrated facilities for the rainwater based on my real investigation of the center of infiltrated facilities for the rainwater in the Kiheung, Sangal Kum Hwa Village designed and builded by the Korea Housing Corporation for building housing complex with the infinity of the natural environment. I grasped the realities based on subject investigations and designs and found out the infiltrated facilities for the rainwater in the subject. Those are the porous concretes, pebbles and cobbles. The problems in the subject are supervision of these places and a shoddy and fault constructions by the ignorance and lack of recognition for the construction. These will be solved by reconsidering of the infiltrated facilities for the rainwater. The system of the infiltration is that the rainwater of the top of the building flows into the brook in the subject through the field of the subject. There must be going to be leading studies on the effect of these facilities and influence on the environment for the generalization of the infiltrated facilities for the rainwater of natural environment.

  • Characterization of wind flows over a complex terrain, especially mountain-gorge terrain (referred to as the very complex terrain with rolling mountains and deep narrow gorges), is an important issue for design and operation of long-span bridges constructed in this area. In both wind tunnel testing and numerical simulation, a transition section is often used to connect the wind tunnel floor or computational domain bottom and the boundary top of the terrain model in order to generate a smooth flow transition over the edge of the terrain model. Although the transition section plays an important role in simulation of wind field over complex terrain, an appropriate shape needs investigation. In this study, two principles for selecting an appropriate shape of boundary transition section were proposed, and a theoretical curve serving for the mountain-gorge terrain model was derived based on potential flow theory around a circular cylinder. Then a two-dimensional (2-D) simulation was used to compare the flow transition performance between the proposed curved transition section and the traditional ramp transition section in a wind tunnel. Furthermore, the wind velocity field induced by the curved transition section with an equivalent slope of $30^{\circ}$ was investigated in detail, and a parameter called the 'velocity stability factor' was defined; an analytical model for predicting the velocity stability factor was also proposed. The results show that the proposed curved transition section has a better flow transition performance compared with the traditional ramp transition section. The proposed analytical model can also adequately predict the velocity stability factor of the wind field.

  • Flows in the centrifugal compressor volute with circular cross section are numerically investigated. The computational grid for the calculation utilized a multi-block arrangement to form a butterfly grid and flow calculations are performed using commercial CFD software, CFX-TASCflow. The centrifugal compressor of this study has axial diffuser after radial diffuser because of the shape of inlet duct and installation constraints. Due to this feature the swirling flow pattern is different from the other investigations. The flow inside volute is very complex and three dimensional with strong vortex and recirculation through volute tongue. The calculation results show circumferential variations of the swirl and through flow velocity and pressure distribution. The mechanism deciding flow structure is explained by considering the force balance in volute cross section. And static pressure recovery and total pressure loss are estimated from the calculated results and compared with Japikse model.

  • The two-dimensional incompressible flow of a linear viscoelastic fluid we considered in this research has rapidly oscillating initial conditions which contain both the large scale and small scale information. In order to grasp this double-scale phenomenon of the complex flow, a multiscale analysis method is developed based on the mathematical homogenization theory. For the incompressible flow of a linear viscoelastic Maxwell fluid, a well-posed multiscale system, including averaged equations and cell problems, is derived by employing the appropriate multiple scale asymptotic expansions to approximate the velocity, pressure and stress fields. And then, this multiscale system is solved numerically using the pseudospectral algorithm based on a time-splitting semi-implicit influence matrix method. The comparisons between the multiscale solutions and the direct numerical simulations demonstrate that the multiscale model not only captures large scale features accurately, but also reflects kinetic interactions between the large and small scale of the incompressible flow of a linear viscoelastic fluid.

  • Aiming at the problem of complex feature extraction and low accuracy in human action recognition, this paper proposed a network structure combining batch normalization algorithm with GoogLeNet network model. Applying Batch Normalization idea in the field of image classification to action recognition field, it improved the algorithm by normalizing the network input training sample by mini-batch. For convolutional network, RGB image was the spatial input, and stacked optical flows was the temporal input. Then, it fused the spatio-temporal networks to get the final action recognition result. It trained and evaluated the architecture on the standard video actions benchmarks of UCF101 and HMDB51, which achieved the accuracy of 93.42% and 67.82%. The results show that the improved convolutional neural network has a significant improvement in improving the recognition rate and has obvious advantages in action recognition.

  • When supersonic jet impinges on wall from the nozzle, complex flow pattern appears such as Mach disc, expansion fan, and jet boundary. The numerical computation of this supersonic jet is important on flame deflecctor design for launch space especially. In this paper, we analyzed supersonic jet structure impinging on deflector wall using three dimensional steady and unsteady compressible equation and showed temperature and pressure distribution on the wall surface. As a result, some dominant factors of jet flows are discussed for conceptual design of flame deflector.

  • In this paper the CSCM type upwind flux difference splitting Navier-Stokes method has been applied to study the ARL-SL19 supersonic/transonic compressor cascade flow. H-type grid was chosen for its simplicity in applying cyclic tridiagonal matrix algorithm along with conventional slip/no-slip boundary conditions. The thin-layer algebraic model of Baldwin-Lomax was employed for the calculation of turbulent flows. The test case inlet Mach No. was 1.612 and inlet/exit pressure ratio($P_2/P_1$) was 2.15. The results were compared with experimental results from current method were compared well in suction surface with the experiments and other computational results; however, not well in pressure surface. It might be due to the complex flowfields such as shock/boundary layer interaction, turbulence, and flow separation, etc. In the future, a proper turbulence modelling and adaptive grid system will be studied to improve the solution quality.

  • LDV measurements were conducted on the planes between impeller blades of torque converter. The flow fields are extremely complex because they contain unsteady viscous three-dimensional flows. Besides of their complexity, the difference in rotor speeds between the impeller and turbine compound the flow effects. The good spatial resolution of the LDV allows measurements of the instantaneous flow structures within the impeller passage, yielding valuable information about the production automotive torque converter in realistic operating conditions. It was found that the mass flow rates are strongly related with the internal flow characteristics of torque converter.

  • There are many channel confluences existing in natural river systems, where the hydraulics are very complex because of the interactive between tributary and main river The RMA-2 model Is applied in this paper to model the confluence between Uksu Chun subriver and Nam Chun main river. Based on three types of assumed confluence forms, the model resuits present the hydraulics at channel confluence can be divided into several zones including a zone of separation immediately downstream of the junction branch channel, a maximum and minimum velocity region at upstream and downstream in the confluent channel, and a shear plane developed between the two combing flows at downstream of confluent channel. And the different types of confluent forms performs a very high effect on drainability of tributary, so it is very necessary to design a reasonable confluent forms.

  • A level-set (LS) method is presented for computation of boiling phenomena which involve liquid-vapor interfaces that evolve, merge and break up in time, the flow and temperature fields influenced by the interfacial motion, and the microlayer that forms between the solid and the vapor phase near the wall. The LS formulation for tracking the phase interfaces is modified to include the effects of phase change on the liquid-vapor interface and contact angle on the liquid-vapor-solid interline. The LS method can calculate an interface curvature accurately by using a smooth distance function. Also, it is straightforward to implement for two-phase flows in complex geometries. The numerical method is applied for analysis of nucleate boiling on a horizontal surface and film boiling on a horizontal cylinder.
