In this paper, a novel ultra wide band(UWB) antenna with tri-band notch capability is proposed. The proposed antenna can reject WiMAX(3.3~3.7 GHz), WLAN IEEE 802.11a/n(5.15~5.825 GHz), and ITU(8.025~8.4 GHz) bands. Band rejection capability is achieved only split ring resonators(SRRs) and complementary SRRs(CSRRs). The SRR under the radiating patch, the CSRR loaded on the radiating patch, and the CSRRs on the ground of the CPW feeding reject the WiMAX, WLAN, and ITU bands, respectively. The simulation and measurement results demonstrate the performances of the proposed antenna.
In order to evaluate the effect of fish oil on lipid drogenase(G6PDH), malic enzyme(ME), glucose-6-phosphatase(G6Pase) activities were measured in liver and adipose tissue of rats fed 13 days supplemented fish oil at the level of 10% (W/W). Two other groups of rats were fed 10% soybean oil or lard to compare with the effect of fish oil. In all groups, activities of hepatic G6PDH and ME were depressed from the beginning of feeding. This effect was greatest (50%) in fish oil group. Hepatic G6Pase was highest in rats fed lard. When the level of fish oil was reduced to half, as total fat content was maintained at the level of 10% by complementary lard, lipogenic enzyme depressing effect of fish oil was as significant as shown in 10% fish oil diet. Hepatic G6PDH was depressed significantly(14%) in rats fed fish oil as low as 2%. On the other hand, changes in adipose tissue G6PDH and ME activities were small. Adipose tissue G6Page activity increased slightly in rats fed with increasing fish oil(above 0.5%). It is suggested that fish oil alter, more markedly than either soybean oil or lard, cellular lipid metabolism by reducing activities of hepatic lipogenic enzymes.
The effects of Bi and Sb additions on the microstructures and casting properties in lead-free Cu-Zn-Sn broze were investigated. (1) When only Bi was added to the bronze, Bi was precipitated on the ${\delta}$ phase of ${\alpha}$ dendrite cell boundary. When Bi and Sb were added together, Bi was precipitated on the ${\delta}_A$ which was the Sb-rich area in the ${\delta}$ phase. (2) The addition of Sb accelerated the formation of ${\delta}$ phase, and when Sb, Bi and Pb were added, Bi and Pb were precipitated as mixed solution in the ${\delta}_A$ phase. (3) The combined addition of Sb and Bi resulted in the suppression of shrinkage due to the complementary effects of the mass feeding of ${\alpha}$-dendrite cluster covered with ${\delta}$ phase and sealing of micro-shrinkage in the ${\delta}$ phase by solidification expansion of Bi.
This study is concerned with assessment of diethylnitrosamine(DEN) induced liver cell carcinogenesis by measurement of changes preceding the development of neoplasms. Therefore, it was undertaken to investigate the changes of liver-specific enzyme activities in rats (Sprague-Dawley) by ad libitum feeding of DEN. And also, as another objective index in urine, the level of urinary biopterin was measured by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) method. The results were as follows ; 1. Minor behavioral change, brittleness of hair and decreased amount of water and diet intake were observed in rats 7 weeks after DEN administration. 2. The body and liver weights were significantly(p<0.05) decreased in rats 11 weeks after DEN administration. 3. The ratio of liver weight to body weight was rather stable and not significantly decreased in the all treatment groups. 4. The liver specific enzyme activities(AST, ALT,$\gamma$-GTP) were significantly(p<0.05) increased in all treatment groups compared to control group. 5. Compared to normal level, urine biopterin level was significantly (p<0.05) increased in all treatment groups(p<0.05). In conclusion, this result confirmed that the DEN was one of the potent hepatocarcinogens. In experimental model of rats exposed to DEN, the results indicated that values of liver specific enzyme activities(AST, ALT, $\gamma$-GTP) and urine biopterin level could be useful complementary tumor indices.

The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship of maternal factors such as knowledge, attitude and practice of weaning with infant feeding. The subjects were 103 mothers visiting a public health center in Gumi, Kyungbook who filled out self-administered Questionnaires. First of all, about $90\%$ of the participants recognized the importance of complementary foods and proper weaning practices. The response for the recognition of the importance of infant weaning process showed a significant difference by education levels. Concerning an appropriate time for the introduction of weaning foods, $53\%$ of mothers had commenced weaning at age $4\~6$ months, while $38\%$ had done so at age $6\~8$ months. Approximately $76\%$ of mothers fed their babies without the knowledge of age-related weaning method and type of weaning foods. There were no statistical differences in maternal weaning knowledges between levels of education and house income. Mothers with higher levels of education and family income tended to show high perception scores regarding possibility of food allergies caused by baby foods. A demand for reliable sources and education related to nutritious weaning foods and weaning practices were strong in the group with higher education. Knowledge of weaning method and baby foods were obtained by 59 of the 103 mothers from mass media, 35 from friends caring babies, and 9 obtained advice from health professionals or family. Advice from the heath professionals was not the main influence on their decision to introduce weaning foods. Although commercial baby foods are the most commonly used as first weaning foods, those with higher education groups considered commercial baby food are not nutritionally better than home-maid foods. The current findings suggest to us that to improve weaning process, mothers should be educated on the selection and preparation of nutritious, balanced weaning foods and on good weaning practices. It is advised that supportive health professionals from community public health centers should lead the education of infant feeding practices based on maternal characteristics and on basic food and nutritional knowledge.
Objective: In this study we aimed to evaluate the effect of dietary live yeast supplementation on ruminal pH pattern, fermentation characteristics and associated bacteria in beef cattle. Methods: This work comprised of in vitro and in vivo experiments. In vitro fermentation was conducted by incubating 0%, 0.05%, 0.075%, 0.1%, 0.125%, and 0.15% active dried yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, ADY) with total mixed ration substrate to determine its dose effect. According to in vitro results, 0.1% ADY inclusion level was assigned in in vivo study for continuously monitoring ruminal fermentation characteristics and microbes. Six ruminally cannulated steers were randomly assigned to 2 treatments (Control and ADY supplementation) as two-period crossover design (30-day). Blood samples were harvested before-feeding and rumen fluid was sampled at 0, 3, 6, 9, and 12 h post-feeding on 30 d. Results: After 24 h in vitro fermentation, pH and gas production were increased at 0.1% ADY where ammonia nitrogen and microbial crude protein also displayed lowest and peak values, respectively. Acetate, butyrate and total volatile fatty acids concentrations heightened with increasing ADY doses and plateaued at high levels, while acetate to propionate ratio was decreased accordingly. In in vivo study, ruminal pH was increased with ADY supplementation that also elevated acetate and propionate. Conversely, ADY reduced lactate level by dampening Streptococcus bovis and inducing greater Selenomonas ruminantium and Megasphaera elsdenii populations involved in lactate utilization. The serum urea nitrogen decreased, whereas glucose, albumin and total protein concentrations were increased with ADY supplementation. Conclusion: The results demonstrated dietary ADY improved ruminal fermentation dose-dependently. The ruminal lactate reduction through modification of lactate metabolic bacteria could be an important reason for rumen pH stabilization induced by ADY. ADY supplementation offered a complementary probiotics strategy in improving gluconeogenesis and nitrogen metabolism of beef cattle, potentially resulted from optimized rumen pH and fermentation.
The activity of brush border enzymes (sucrase, lactase and maltase) in the piglet small intestine was evaluated as well as piglet performance during the weaning period in the present study. There were two treatment groups: Piglets of six litters were fed dry feed plus milk replacer (Group M) and of six litters fed dry pelleted feed (Group C). One piglet from each litter was sacrificed on day 3 before weaning, and day 3, 10 and 17 postweaning, respectively. Providing milk replacer caused an increased piglet live weight at weaning (p<0.001) and until termination of the experiment (p<0.001). A slightly higher (p<0.16) level of protein was measured in the jejunum of group M piglets as compared with group C piglets. Before weaning the activity of lactase was high in the jejunum of group C piglets. The activity of lactase in the jejunum was lowered in the jejunum of group C piglets and in distal jejunum of group M piglets during the postweaning period as compared with pre-weaning period (p<0.05). Lowered activity of lactase in the distal jejunum of piglets was found at day 10 and 17 postweaning, respectively. No treatment differences were found in the activity of lactase in the piglet jejunum. No treatment differences were seen in the activity of maltase and sucrase in the piglet jejunum also. However, weaning caused a higher activity of sucrase in the distal jejunum of group M piglets as compared with pre-weaning period. In conclusion, providing milk replacer to piglets caused an improved growth performance. Feeding milk replacer did not influence the activity of lactase, maltase and sucrase in the jejunum of piglets. Weaning resulted in a markedly lowered activity of lactase, while no dramatic changes in the activity of maltase took place during the period around weaning.

In this paper, dual band patch antenna was designed using a CSRR structure with negative values permeability which inserted into the ground plane. We propose an antenna that can be used in dual band f1(1.53GHz) and f2(1.63GHz) for satellite communications by using the CSRR placed on the backside of feeding line, which is a negative shape of SRR. The proposed antenna can be arrayed using microstrip line and can be made smaller than conventional patch antenna. The fabricated antenna has the input reflection coefficient of -12.5dB and -14.5dB at f1 and f2, and the gain of 2dB and -0.8dB, respectively. and it was confirmed that the performance was sufficient in the dual-band.
A series of four experiments was conducted to compare nutritional values of decorticated sunflower meals against soybean meal, in diets for pigs from weaning (Exp. 1 and 2) to finishing (Exp. 3 and 4). All experimental diets were prepared compensating for the energy content by using vegetable oil and the lysine content was matched using synthetic L-Lysine HCl. Twenty-one day old pigs were fed either corn-soybean meal based diet (CSBM) or corn- twice-decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CDSM) for four weeks (Exp. 1). There was no difference in performances between treatment groups. In Exp. 2, corn-non-decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CNSM) was added to the existing two treatments. Twenty-one day old pigs were fed three experimental diets for four weeks. Pigs fed CNSM had a lower weight gain and feed intake than other treatments (p<0.05). There was no difference between pigs fed CSBM and CDSM (Exp. 2). Growth performance of growing pigs was also greater (p<0.05) in pigs fed corn starch-twice- decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CSDSM) than pigs fed corn starch-non-decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CSNSM) during the eight week feeding trial (Exp. 3). There was no difference between pig fed corn starch-soybean meal based diet (CSSBM) and CSDSM (Exp. 3). In Exp. 4, growing pigs were fed three experimental diets (CSBM, CDSM, and barley-twice- decorticated sunflower meal based diet; BDSM) until the slaughter. There was no difference in growth performance of pigs during growing and finishing periods among treatments. However, pigs fed CSBM had a higher carcass dressing percentage (p<0.05) than pigs fed CDSM and BDSM. Pigs fed BDSM diet had a lower fat tissue percentage than other groups (p<0.05). The twice-decorticated sunflower meal can be used as a substitute for soybean meal in pig diets. The performances of piglets and growing-finishing pigs were not affected when soybean meal was replaced by twice-decorticated sunflower meal. This substitution needs the contribution of synthetic lysine and vegetable oil as sources of complementary nutrients to match the nutrient profile.

With the scaling down of ULSI(Ultra Large Scale Integration) circuit of CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)based electronic devices, the electronic devices become more faster and smaller size that are promising field of semiconductor market. However, very narrow line width has some disadvantages. For example, because of narrow line width, deposition of conformal and thin barrier is difficult. Besides, proportion of barrier width is large, thus resistance is high. Conventional PVD(Physical Vapor Deposition) thin films are not able to gain a good quality and conformal layer. Hence, in order to get over these side effects, deposition of thin layer used of ALD(Atomic Layer Deposition) is important factor. Furthermore, it is essential that copper atomic diffusion into dielectric layer such as silicon oxide and hafnium oxide. If copper line is not surrounded by diffusion barrier, it cause the leakage current and devices degradation. There are some possible methods for improving the these secondary effects. In this study, TaNx, is used of Tertiarybutylimido tris (ethylamethlamino) tantalum (TBITEMAT), was deposited on the 24nm sized trench silicon oxide/silicon bi-layer substrate with good step coverage and high quality film using plasma enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD). And then copper was deposited on TaNx barrier using same deposition method. The thickness of TaNx was 4~5 nm. TaNx film was deposited the condition of under $300^{\circ}C$ and copper deposition temperature was under $120^{\circ}C$, and feeding time of TaNx and copper were 5 seconds and 5 seconds, relatively. Purge time of TaNx and copper films were 10 seconds and 6 seconds, relatively. XRD, TEM, AFM, I-V measurement(for testing leakage current and stability) were used to analyze this work. With this work, thin barrier layer(4~5nm) with deposited PEALD has good step coverage and good thermal stability. So the barrier properties of PEALD TaNx film are desirable for copper interconnection.
