  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe health problems and psychosocial adaptation in children with cancer and to determine the relationship between these two variables. Method: The data were collected from parents of 61 children with cancer, aged 4-11 years at one university hospital in Seoul. The instruments for this study were the Korea Child Behavior Check List (KCBCL) and a physical symptom checklist developed by the researchers. Result: The major health problems were coughing, sleeping disturbances, fatigue and weakness. The total behavior problem score for children in the cancer group was higher than the score for those in the norm group. The scores on the scales for withdrawal, somatic complaints, social immaturity, and internalizing problems were higher in the children with cancer compared to normative findings. Scores on social and school competence in the cancer group were lower than the norms for healthy children. The relationship between health problems and psychosocial adaptation was significant in the subscales of withdrawal, anxiety/depression, internalizing problems and social involvement in the off therapy group. Conclusions: This study shows the various areas that need further study in caring for children with cancer.

  • The purposes of this study was to evaluate an occupational health promotion program for the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Method: This study employed a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pre and post test to evaluate the program. The subjects of this study were 48 employees selected by convenience sampling who were suspected of having hypertension and hyperlipidemia in routine physical examinations and who were working in A University Hospital in Suwon. 25 subjects were assigned to the experimental group and 23 to the control group. Data collection was done using questionnaries before and after the subjects used the program. Results: The results of this study showed that systolic blood pressure, ALT, γ-GTP in the experimental group was lower than that of the control group. There were significant differences between two groups in the percentage of 'irregularity of diet' and in health behavior compliance. There were significant differences between the two groups in the number of complaints of symptoms after using the program. Conclusion: This study shows that there were no obvious differences between the two groups in all areas, but this program had a positive effect on health behavior changes. It is expected that employees' lifestyles can be changed through continuous health promotion programs.

  • Vertigo is one of the most common complaints encountered by physicians and the patients are steadily increasing. These patients are exposed to the risk of secondary accidents such as falls due to vertigo. There are two ways to improve this symptom: medication and rehabilitation. Although temporary symptomatic improvement may be expected in patients treated with medication, vertigo may recur and medication can delay central compensation. In contrast vestibular rehabilitation exploits central mechanisms of neuroplasticity to increase postural stability and enhance visual-vestibular interactions in situations that generate conflicting sensory information. However, vestibular rehabilitation may be compromised by incorrect performance of exercises, and there is a need for active effort and interest from the patient during rehabilitation. To solve these problems, we decided to apply FOVE HMD for eye-tracking and Unity3D to create virtual reality. The proposed eye-tracking based algorithm calculates the concentration of users with eye tracking data and calculates the motion width of the patient with nystagmus, thus the severity of the patient according to the score can be determined. According to our experimental test against healty group and patients group, this result showed the meaningful data to use define the contents result.

  • The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs decided to designate Goesan County as a comprehensive venue for determining the geography of the land, the efficient management of land, the public opinion of local residents, and the establishment of a group of civic complaints. In the meantime, Goesan focused on attracting high-ranking government officials, including high-ranking government officials and high-ranking tourist attractions, to attract high-ranking government officials, including high-ranking officials of the National Guard, to promote the nation's bid to attract high-ranking government officials. In this paper, we intend to conduct a study centered on the controversy over the survival of the Korean National Guard. conflict between local governments is a non-authoritative administrative administrative body, it can be regarded as a matter of difficulty by intervening in any autonomous matter, and ultimately, it can be changed to judicial judgment. This is not to say that the residents of Goesan county will protest this time. Even though Goesan promotes regional development and development for local residents, it can not guarantee that the judgment of Goesan County will be held in the same situation. Thus, it should develop a win-win strategy based on the threat of sabotage. To this end, I would like to suggest the following measures.

  • The author treated 3 class I malocclusion patients with the lingual appliance followed by the extraction of the 4 bicuspids. One of them was finished with the labial appliance at the final stage. The treatment results were acceptable and the patients had good tolerance to the lingual appliance without complaints in these cases. There were some problems in treatment on the lingual side both the patient and the practioner, but I think we can overcome them with the development of the orthodontic materials, the treatment technics & the increased clinical experience. Of course, we cannot treat all the patients with the lingual braces, but patients are carefully selected, lingual braces will be a valuable orthodontic appliance. In conclusion, the lingual braces have very good esthetic advantages, so the patients, especially in adults, who hesitate or refuse the orthodontic treatment due to the esthetic problem of the labial braces will get the motivation & the chance for the orthodontic treatment.
