First, the purpose of this research is to review the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) regulations in Korea to resolve disputes which can arise in international e-commerce in the near future. Second, this research tries to look for alternative solutions to dispute resolutions according to these regulations. Third, this research pursues to enhance the effectiveness of business deals by providing efficient and satisfactory dispute resolution methods for e-commerce business. Furthermore, this study evaluates the definition of global e-commerce by comparing Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Through analyzing the domestic ODR system and ADR system, this research could boost the employment of settlements in small-sized disputes through easy and convenient consumer access to both ODR and ADR procedures. The enhancement of the competitiveness of Korean companies in the global market is estimated to take place as a result. This research is estimated to provide benefits to our businesses both domestically and internationally by using ODR regulations and ADR methods. Moreover, this research is anticipated to verify usefulness in terms of consumer protection by advancing consumers' access to dispute solution authorities locally and abroad.

This research focuses on the influences of FDI on the economic growth of four countries by Mekong river: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. At the same time, the study also analyzes the contributing of economic growth to attract FDI inflow to these countries. The panel data during the period 1998-2017 were collected from World Bank. Empirical analysis figures out that GDP, mobile phone, labor force are the determinants affecting positive to FDI and vice versa exchange rate, wage are the negative factors. Secondly, FDI, export, exchange rate, government expenditure impact positively on economic growth but inflation and population have negative effect on the economic development. Thirdly, The FDI and economic growth have impact mutually in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand economy. FDI plays a very crucial role in contributing greatly to the economic development of the Mekong sub-region. The economic growth is higher, the FDI inflow is more attractive. From the results, some practical suggestions are offered to enhance the competitiveness in attracting FDI.

In this paper, LED arrays with segmented mirrors and a mask are presented as a new dark-field illuminator for reflective Fourier ptychographic microscopy (FPM). The illuminator can overcome the limitations of the size and the position of samples that the dark-field illuminator using a parabolic mirror has had. The new concept was demonstrated by measuring a USAF 1951 target, and it resolved a pattern in group 10 element 6 (274 nm) in the USAF target. The new design of the dark-field illuminator can enhance competitiveness of the reflective FPM as a versatile measurement method in industry.

This study analyzes the servicescape of a dog-friendly hotel, which is the most important element of travel with a dog, which is increasing as the types of families diversify, and intends to suggest implications for servicescape strategies to enhance competitiveness in the future. The number of households with companion animals is increasing in line with the aging of the population, changes in the demographic structure due to the rapid increase in single-person households, and increase in income. In order to successfully operate a hotel with companion animals, which cannot have all the facilities like a large hotel, we would like to segment the market according to the user's pursuit of convenience and propose an appropriate servicescape design method.

In recent years, UNWTO and academics have called for the development of responsible, sustainable, and universally accessible tourism to promote equal human rights and social inclusion. Prior studies have also revealed the potential and value of smart technologies in reducing, if not removing, barriers to people with access requirements during travel and in their everyday lives. However, a guiding framework of how smart technologies assist in building an accessible destination is still absent, thereby hindering the progress of building accessible tourism. This paper aims to fill this knowledge gap. A conceptual model of smart accessible destination (SAD) was proposed drawing from the intersection of accessible tourism and smart tourism. With the guidance of this conceptual model, tourism destinations and stakeholders can recognize and utilize the synergies of accessible and smart tourism to enhance the social inclusion, competitiveness, and sustainability of a destination.

Productivity has been a wide-ranging challenge for the construction industry, both in Australia and globally. Particularly in Western Australia's construction and resources sectors, continuously low productivity will potentially discourage future investments. The emergence of the global marketplace necessitates that the supply chain needs to focus on the concept of the holistic efficiency. The isolated geographical position of Australia only exacerbates this phenomenon. In recent years, Building Information Modelling (BIM) has been suggested as an efficient way to help productivity improve and information management throughout supply chains. This keynote talk will focus on discussing ways of implementing BIM to enhance site productivity focusing on Western Australia's construction projects. It will show new trends of its applications to accomplish an innovative way in construction project management. The talk will also give an insightful summary of integrated methods with state-of-the-art technologies backboned by the BIM cases from construction and oil and gas industry projects.

The performance of informatization differs depending on its utilization, investment and construction methods. This study analyzed the key factors affecting the performance of informatization based on a public survey on the information system operation of small and medium-sized companies in Korea. Through structural equation modeling and one-way ANOVA, the study identified the pathways leading to performance. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that higher levels of top management support are associated with increased information system use and performance. Similarly, higher levels of information system use are correlated with better performance of information systems. This research is significant as it investigates and reveals how top management support and information system usage work in the cases of SMEs in South Korea, which is a leading country in manufacturing. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights for SMEs, whether they have already developed an information system or plan to do so, in their efforts to enhance corporate competitiveness.

This study examines Natal in Brazil as a Smart Tourism Destination (STD) based on the perception of public and private managers who are members of the City Tourism Council. The research utilizes a systemic perspective of STD proposed by Ivars-Baidal et al. (2016), consisting of three interconnected levels: Strategic-Relational, Instrumental, and Applied. The findings reveal that Natal faces challenges in terms of infrastructure, accessibility, security, connectivity, and sensoring, which hinder its progress as STD. The study also identifies opportunities in the form of governance structures with smart destinations and the inclusion of smartness guidelines in the City Master Plan. The research aims to contribute to the theoretical understanding of STD and its application in destination development. It highlights the need for innovative planning and management in Natal, emphasizing that adopting the STD from a systemic perspective can enhance competitiveness and elevate the level of smartness in the destination.

This study conducts topic modeling analysis on four electric scooter sharing platforms: Alpaca, SingSing, Kickgoing, and Beam. Using user review data, the study aims to identify key topics and issues associated with each platform, as well as uncover common themes across platforms. The analysis reveals that users primarily express concerns and preferences related to application usability, service mobility, and parking/accessibility. Additionally, each platform exhibits unique characteristics and challenges. Alpaca users generally appreciate convenience and enjoyment but express concerns about safety and service areas. SingSing faces issues with application functionality, while Kickgoing users encounter connectivity problems and device usability issues. Beam receives overall positive feedback, but users express dissatisfaction with application usability and parking. Based on these findings, scooter sharing service providers should focus on enhancing application features, stability, and expanding service coverage to meet user expectations and improve customer satisfaction. Furthermore, highlighting platform-specific strengths and providing tailored services can enhance competitiveness and foster continuous service growth and development.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved over the past decade and has advanced in areas such as language comprehension, image and video recognition, programming, and scientific reasoning. Recent AI technologies based on large language models and foundation models are approaching or surpassing artificial general intelligence. These systems demonstrate superior performance in complex problem-solving, natural language processing, and multidomain tasks, and can potentially transform fields such as science, industry, healthcare, and education. However, these advancements have raised concerns regarding the safety and trustworthiness of advanced AI, including risks related to uncontrollability, ethical conflicts, long-term socioeconomic impacts, and safety assurance. Efforts are being expended to develop internationally agreed-upon standards to ensure the safety and reliability of AI. This study analyzes international trends in safety and trustworthiness standardization for advanced AI, identifies key areas for standardization, proposes future directions and strategies, and draws policy implications. The goal is to support the safe and trustworthy development of advanced AI and enhance international competitiveness through effective standardization.
