  • After the sailing of WTO setup, The opportunity of a trade range extension is provided. OECD joining the change of the domestic construction industry. In 1994, The complete opening of a construction license was allowed As a result, The number of construction companies was increased rapidly. accordingly, We are faced with the new over competition and the problem of the financial difficulty. This paper proposes the plan for the practical technology of the small and middle sized construction companies to be improved and the plan for the working environment of small and middle sized construction companies to be improved. As a method for it, This paper proposes the Losicstics System of the construction.

  • Up to the present, ISO 9000 series have contributed which construction of quality management system and improvement of quality competition. Therefore many enterprises have taken an increasing interest in ISO 9000 series and the number certification of it is on the increase every year. In these processes, the side effect has come out. It is of no use to competitive power of enterprise. Because they made an effort for certification without preparation for a short period or there was no continuous system control. In this paper, We review the weakness of existing ISO 9000 series, which have soon ahead of revision. In addition, We propose the considering items or contents in revision for enterprise competition power.

  • This study discusses how the appropriate distribution and logistic information system of the railroad industry will be developed when the Korean railroad will be open toward northeast Asia area through South Korea and China/Russia in the rail-ferry project and/or the inter-Korean railroad connection project in the fnture. This study suggests that the Korea railroad industry should build the own efficient information system of railroad distribution and logistics in the notheast Asia area far both the extension of customer services and the competition with peripheral countries around the pacific.

  • The purpose of the study is discovering the effects of virtual competitors on user in AR (Augment Reality) home training system. Specifically, the current research examined their effects on immersion, perceived competition, and leaning motivation. The paper tested three unexplored relationship. First, introducing virtual competitors in home training system will enhance user's immersion. Second, presenting virtual competitors in home training system will increase user's perceived competition. Third, virtual competitors in home training system will raise user's learning motivation. For empirical analysis, we developed home training system, which could check and give feedback automatically, based on user's posture. Using this AR home training system, the study empirically shows how and why virtual competitors affect users. The results give implications not only on service design; but also on the idea that virtual other could affect user's behavior.

  • This study examines the influence of scale economy, technology, financing capability and market competition on economic performance by value chain in Korean solar energy companies, using the multiple logistic regression analysis. The current profit ratio is analyzed to have been positively affected by financing capability, while negatively by market competition. The scale economy and technology are analyzed to have no statistical significance on the economic performance. The current profit ratio for companies creating higher value in the sourcing process is negatively affected by technology while positively by financial capability. The one in the manufacturing process is affected positively by technology and financing capability, and the one in the marketing process is affected positively by financing capability while negatively by market competition. The implications of this study are as follows: Korean solar energy industry is recommended i) to establish the specific innovation system for technology development, ii) to set up advanced financial system, iii) to carry out the fractal system, the manufacturing system through the network of the firms owning core competence per value chain.

  • Bidding systems in the domestic public construction work have been amended many times since the lowest-bidding system was implemented in 1951. However, this hasn't had much success. Competition in technical development among companies has declined as the contracts for buildings are given to company which submits the lowest price without considering traits of projects. In addition, as the construction market turns to the limitless competition system due to FTA(Free Trade Agreement), advanced techniques are needed to promote the national competitive power. Considering the needs of the times, Korean government announced that "Best Value Contract (Design-Bid-Build)" and "Bridging Contracts (Design-Build)" are included to 4 existing bidding systems in October 2007. Thus this study aims to suggest devised the evaluation criteria including major items for evaluating bidders, in order to establish and revitalize the best-value bid system successfully.

  • The Korea electricity wholesale market is operated under the cost-based-pool system and the government regulation to the new generation capacities in order to insure the resource adequacy. The goal of government's regulation is the electricity market stability by attracting proper generation investment while keeping the reliability of system. Generation companies must mandatory observe that government plan by now. But if the restructuring is to be complete, generation companies should not bear any obligation to invest unless their profitability is guaranteed. Namely the investors' behavior will be affected by the market prices. In this paper, the system dynamics model for Korea wholesale electricity market to examine whether competitive market can help to stabilize is developed and analyzes the investors behavior. The simulation results show that market controlled by government will be operated stable without resulting in price spike but there is no lower price because of maintaining the reasonable reserve margin. However, if the competition is introduced and the new investment is determined by the investor's decision without government intervention, the benefits from lower wholesale price are expected. Nevertheless, the volatility in the wholesale market increases, which increases the investment risks.
