The computer industry has come to the generation of personal computer. The organization of the existing industry has the distinct boundary among companies in vertically integrated companies, produce whole assembled system, and compete in the part of hardware, operating system, and its related software based on theirselves design. Then according to keep the distinct monopolized architecture of industry, the enterprises only centralized on developing the monopolistic market and sharing the static market rather than competition and compatibility with other system. The horizontal distribution in small part industry is occurring, by the times of personal computer, and the companies of personal computer have coming into free competition with parts standardization and the open architecture of system. This paper suggests a reasonable model of industry under horizontal structure with analyzing the above phenomenon.

A container terminal should concentrate on efficient terminal operation in the long view and analyze an effect through introduction of hi-technology, automated equipments and intelligent information system, when they want to improve their reliability and competitive power in intense global competition. To do this, first this study finds out factors which affect competitive power of a container terminal, and relation between them. And then we used System Dynamics method to analyze an effect according to a value fluctuation of the factors in the long term.

Customers of local monopolistic department store can switch their store more easily than ever due to the rapidly changing environment in distribution system represented by multi-store-strategy of large department stores, increase in discount store and growing non-store retailing system. Consequently, local department stores which enjoyed their business with little competition are forced to study and understand the customer switching behavior. This work is intended to understand the switching behavior characteristics of monopolistic local clepartrrent store users. For the end, previous researches are reviewed firstly, then characteristics of store-switching behavior of custorrers amid rapidly changing distribution environment are studied in view of the relations of dissatisfaction factor, switching barrier, switch intention and custorrer characteristics such as shopping orientation, variety-seeking behavior, degree of openess to competition and sociodemographics. Study shows that; 1) dissatisfaction factor is related to customer characteristics (shopping orientation and degree of openess to competition), 2) switching barrier recognition is related to customer characteristics (degree of openess to competition and sociodemographics) and dissatisfaction factor, 3) intention to switch to expected competitor is related to customer characteristics (shopping orientation, degree of openess to competition and sociodemographics) and switching barrier recognition. Accordingly, switch control strategy of the monopolistic local department store facing competitors' entry into market, must be made, specifically, in a way to understand customer characteristics and to make deliberate effort to reduce customer dissatisfaction.

This study proposed a robust detection algorithm. It detects face more stably with respect to changes in light and rotation forthe identification of a face shape. The proposed algorithm uses face shape asinput information in a single camera environment and divides only face area through preprocessing process. However, it is not easy to accurately recognize the face area that is sensitive to lighting changes and has a large degree of freedom, and the error range is large. In this paper, we separated the background and face area using the brightness difference of the two images to increase the recognition rate. The brightness difference between the two images means the difference between the images taken under the bright light and the images taken under the dark light. After separating only the face region, the face shape is recognized by using the self-organization feature map (SOFM) algorithm. SOFM first selects the first top neuron through the learning process. Second, the highest neuron is renewed by competing again between the highest neuron and neighboring neurons through the competition process. Third, the final top neuron is selected by repeating the learning process and the competition process. In addition, the competition will go through a three-step learning process to ensure that the top neurons are updated well among neurons. By using these SOFM neural network algorithms, we intend to implement a stable and robust real-time face shape recognition system in face shape recognition.

Construction VE is the system introduced in order to reduce the life cycle cost and promote the performance of construction facilities, used in architecture and civil construction since apply to construction over 10 billion from december 2005. But yet it is short of VE specialist and it is not a purpose in maximization of value creation through VE but strong better awareness of tool for budget reduce. This study tries to contribute to qualitative advance of design VE by analyze substantial degree of VE Procedure and VE result by Job Plan used widely in domestic an object design VE competition case to crossroad.

This study reviews maritime transport policy regarding liner conference and the changes in the liner market over the decades. Liner shipping industry has long been protected from competition by block exemption. To prevent excessive competition in punctual operation and its inelastic market structure, liner shipping companies formed conferences that are protected to fix the prices under the law. In the US, deregulation in transport sector began from 80's and continuing with OSRA 1998, conferences were dissolving. On the other hand, the EU with close conference system, Regulation 4056/86 contained block exemption remained in force for unlimited time without review clause. However, in Oct 2008, the EU has announced its removal, and conferences were no longer permitted to fix the price nor exchange information. Although OSRA 1998 has already broken up conferences by allowing individual service contracts, but the repeal of the immunity for price fixing will alter significantly the rule on cooperation in the industry since it is a unilateral move by the EU, especially in transatlantic lane. There are rapid changes in shipping market getting much more complicated, and with removal of 4056/86 allowing the market to be more competitive, opening up the industry with far more diverse strategic options. Hence this paper reviews on liner shipping industry and its changes of policies over the years from protected market to open competition market of today.

This paper starts with a model of monopolistic competition and endogenous growth, and it adds pollution as an input to production. Then I adopt environmental quality as a renewable resource used in production. I show that increasing returns due to specialization of clean activities as inputs can help lead to sustainable growth with no harm to environmental quality. I also compare and evaluate alternative policy combinations (i.e. taxes +subsidies) that correct two distortions from pollution and monopolistic competition. Finally, I find that, if the productivity of environment in final good production is not sufficiently enough, the number of clean goods tends to increase with more environmental concerns.
