The purpose of this study was to develop a leadership competency model for Korean public library directors which could help the progress of public libraries. Complex methods like contents analysis of precedent studies, FGI with high performers, survey to librarians and directors of public libraries which were affiliated to Seoul Metropolitan Government and validation by specialists were used for this study. As a result, a leadership competency model for Korean public library directors which consists of the 19 components was developed and this model can be used as the criteria for improvement of the leadership competencies of Korean public library directors.

The competitiveness of modern organizations highly depends upon organizational competencies rather than individual competencies. However, most of previous studies on project success focused on individual competencies, such as project manager's competency and leadership. Even though there are some assessment models for the organizational project competencies, they are limited in specific organizations and industries. Furthermore, it is difficult to apply them to domestic companies, especially to small and medium enterprises because some assessment items are inappropriate for them. The purpose of this study is to propose an organizational project competency assessment model that is suitable for evaluating small and medium enterprises. First, the assessment areas and items for each area are determined through extensive investigation of previous models including OPM3, CMMI, and PMBOK. Next, the weights of assessment areas and items are decided by AHP analysis of experts response in the field of the project management. Finally, a project competency assessment model with assessment sheets is proposed. The model proposed in this study might support managers of small and medium enterprises to find pros and cons of project competencies and to establish improvement plans.
The purpose of this paper is to compare SWECOM and Information & Communication Engineering NCS to explore how to improve current NCS. First, it would be helpful to use NCS competency unit and competency unit element as categorization criteria and then to provide levels and roles into performance criteria and KSA. Second, developing common lower level competency unit would decrease the redundancy of KSA and make it clear for users. Third, providing other kinds of skills along with technical skills such as management skill would be useful for users.
The aim of this study is to explore the pre-service math teachers' characteristics of education to develop their AI literacy and SW competency, and to derive some implications. We conducted a 14-hours AI and SW education program for pre-service teachers with theory and practice, and an analysis on class observation data, video frames of classes and interview, Python programming assignments and papers. The results of this case study for 3 pre-service teachers are as follows. First, two students understood artificial neural network and deep learning system accurately, furthermore, all students conducted a couple of explorations related with performance improvement of deep learning system with interest. Second, coding and exploration activities using Python improved students' computational thinking as well as SW competency, which help them give convergence education in the future. Third, they responded positively to the necessity of AI literacy and SW competency development, and to applying coding to math class. Lastly, it's necessary to endeavor to give a coding education to the student's eye level according to his or her prerequisite and to ease the burden of student's studying AI technology.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to draw up sensory integration intervention competency model for occupational therapist and was to confirm a competency model through validation. Methods : We conducted literature review, expert opening survey, and expert focus meeting to draw up draft competency model. And then, we carried out Delphi survey twice and consulted an expert to confirm the sensory integration intervention competency model for occupational therapist. Results : The sensory integration intervention competency model for occupational therapist developed in this study was structured into 4 competency cluster, 15 competency, 60 competency indicators. 4 competency clusters had expertise, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and personal characteristics. Conclusion : The competency model revealed in this study can be used as basic critical data to foster development of competency based curriculum of Korean Academy of Sensory Integration (KASI).
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a competency based safety and quality improving education program for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study of a non-equivalent control group pre and post test design was used. The participants were sixty-eight undergraduate nursing students recruited from the two universities in G and M cities. They were assigned to either a treatment group (n=35) or a comparison group (n=33). A five-day educational program developed based on the ADDIE Instructional Design Model was offered to the treatment group whereas the comparison group did not receive any instruction. Data were collected using self-report structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 with the $x^2$ test, and independent t-test. Results: The students in the treatment group reported significant positive changes for patient safety knowledge, skill and perception of quality and safety competencies. Conclusion: Findings from this study supports that competency based quality improving and safety education program is a useful intervention strategy to promote student's knowledge, skill and perception of quality and safety competencies.

The purpose of the study is to specify the evaluative objectives of science process skills and to serve as an evaluative criterion for the development of university competency test. The followings are the results of this study. (l) Five steps as a teaching and learning model of science are suggested for the improvement of science inquiry skills. (2) Three dimensional taxomony was presented to evaluate the science process skills of university competency test. (3) Sixteen behavioral elements were selected from the science process model and defined operationally. (4) 146 evaluative objectives were specified according to each behavioral element based on the results presented above, the science inquiry model and the evaluative objectives wilt be contributed to teaching and learning strategies for the improvement of science process skills including basic concepts and contents, and problematic situation in science.

The purpose of this study was to measure Korean public library directors' current levels of the competency components which were suggested in a leadership competency model and to analyze the effects of several variables on the competency components. Survey to total librarians and directors of public libraries which are affiliated to Seoul Metropolitan Government and statistical hypothesis testing like t-testing and one-way ANOVA were used for this study. As a result, the current levels of 19 competency components of Korean public library directors and the effects of seven variables; sex, major, librarian certification, academic ability, years worked (as a librarian, as a public library librarian, as a public library director, as a librarian at a present library), the size of a library and measuring group were presented and analyzed, which can be used as the criteria for improvement of the leadership competencies of Korean public library directors.
Objective: The aim of this study was to identify associations of internal motivation, perceived health competency, and health literacy with primary and secondary cancer prevention. Methods: A telephone survey was conducted with a sample of 2,700, 30-69 year olds, proportionally extracted from Gangwon Province, South Korea. The dependent variables were actions in primary and secondary prevention and the explanatory variables were 13 questions in three areas: internal motivation (4 items), perceived health competency (4 items), and health literacy (5 items). Result: Multiple linear regression analysis showed that internal motivation, perceived health competency, and health literacy positively impacted primary prevention after controlling for gender and age. As internal motivation, perceived health competency, and perceived literacy increased by 1 point, primary prevention scores increased by 0.11, 0.11, and 0.07 points, respectively. In addition, logistic regression results for secondary prevention showed that health literacy had a positive impact on secondary behavior. As health literacy increased by 1 point, the odds ratio of the practice of secondary prevention was 1.4 times higher. Conclusion: This study suggests that primary and secondary prevention of cancer are significantly related to intrinsic motivation factors, perceived health competency, and actual health literacy. Health literacy concepts that cover the capacity of health management in comprehensive areas need to be applied to education and promotion for improvement of primary and secondary prevention of cancer.
