Automatic FPC punching instrument for the improvement of working condition and cost saving is introduced in this paper. FPC(flexible printed circuit) is used to detect the contact position of K/B and button like a cellular phone. Depending on the quality of the printed ink and position of reference punching point to the FPC, the resistance and current are varied to the malfunctioning values. The size of reference punching point is 2mm and the above. Because the punching operation is done manually, the accuracy of the punching degree is varied with operator's condition. Recently, The punching accuracy has deteriorated severely to the 2mm punching reference hall so that assembly of the K/B has hardly done. To improve this manual punching operation to the FPC, automatic FPC punching system is introduced. Precise mechanical parts like a 5-step stepping motor and ball screw mechanism are designed and tested and low cost PC camera is used for the sake of cost down instead of using high quality vision systems for the FA. 3D Mechanical design tool(Pro/E) is used to manage the exact tolerance circumstances and avoid design failures. Simulation is performed to make the complete vision based punching machine before assembly, and this procedure led to the manufacturing cost saving. As the image processing algorithms, dilation, erosion, and threshold calculation is applied to obtain an exact center position from the FPC print marks. These image processing algorithms made the original images having various noises have clean binary pixels which is easy to calculate the center position of print marks. Moment and Least square method are used to calculate the center position of objects. In this development circumstance, Moment method was superior to the Least square one at the calculation of speed and against noise. Main control panel is programmed by Visual C++ and graphical Active X for the whole management of vision based automatic punching machine. Operating modes like manual, calibration, and automatic mode are added to the main control panel for the compensation of bad FPC print conditions and mechanical tolerance occurring in the case of punch and die reassembly. Test algorithms and programs showed good results to the designed automatic punching system and led to the increase of productivity and huge cost down to law material like FPC by avoiding bad quality.

ZnO has a very large exciton binding energy (60 meV) as well as thermal and chemical stability, which are expected to allow efficient excitonic emission, even at room temperature. ZnO based electronic devices have attracted increasing interest as the backplanes for applications in the next-generation displays, such as active-matrix liquid crystal displays (AMLCDs) and active-matrix organic light emitting diodes (AMOLEDs), and in solid state lighting systems as a substitution for GaN based light emitting diodes (LEDs). Most of these electronic devices employ the electrical behavior of n-type semiconducting active oxides due to the difficulty in obtaining a p-type film with long-term stability and high performance. p-type ZnO films can be produced by substituting group V elements (N, P, and As) for the O sites or group I elements (Li, Na, and K) for Zn sites. However, the achievement of p-type ZnO is a difficult task due to self-compensation induced from intrinsic donor defects, such as O vacancies (Vo) and Zn interstitials ($Zn_i$), or an unintentional extrinsic donor such as H. Phosphorus (P) doped ZnO thin films were grown on c-sapphire substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering with various Ar/ $O_2$ gas ratios. Control of the electrical types in the P-doped ZnO films was achieved by varying the gas ratio with out post-annealing. The P-doped ZnO films grown at a Ar/ $O_2$ ratio of 3/1 showed p-type conductivity with a hole concentration and hole mobility of $10^{-17}cm^{-3}$ and $2.5cm^2/V{\cdot}s$, respectively. X-ray diffraction showed that the ZnO (0002) peak shifted to lower angle due to the positioning of $p^{3-}$ ions with a smaller ionic radius in the $O^{2-}$ sites. This indicates that a p-type mechanism was due to the substitutional Po. The low-temperature photoluminescence of the p-type ZnO films showed p-type related neutral acceptor-bound exciton emission. The p-ZnO/n-Si heterojunction LEO showed typical rectification behavior, which confirmed the p-type characteristics of the ZnO films in the as-deposited status, despite the deep-level related electroluminescence emission.

Liquid Chromatographic behavior of Ni(II) in Isonitrosoethylacetoacetate Imine(IEAA-NR), Ni(IEAA-NH)(IEAA-NR)(R = H, CH_3, C-2H_5, n-C_4H_9, C_6H_5-CH_2) chelates were investigated by reversed-phase HPLC on Micropak MCH-5 column using methanol/water as mobile phase. The optimum conditions for the separation of Ni(IEAA-NH)(IEAA-NR) chelates were examined with respect to the effect of the flow rate, sample solvent, mobile phase strength and column temperature. It was fo$und that metal chelates were properly eluted in an acceptable range of capacity factor value(0{\le}logk'{\le}1). The dependence of the logarithm of capacity factor (k') on the volume fraction of water in the binary mobile phase as well as on the liquid-liquid extraction distribution ratio (Dc) in methanol-water/n-alkane extraction system showed the good linearties, and the dependence of the logarithm of capacity factor (k') on the column temperature and on the enthalpy exhibited the good linearties, and the compensation temperature ({\beta}) from the slope was 773.47{\circ}K. It was suggested that the retention of metal chelates was largely affected by the hydrophobic effect.
Single phase $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ ceramics doped by 10 mol% of electron donors such as $La^3,\; Pr^{3+,4+},\; Nd^{3+},\; Sm^{3+}$, were synthesized and their B-site cationic ordering structures were investigated by XRD and TEM. In the XRD patterns, only fundamental reflections were observed for the undoped $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$, while the (h/2 $\textsc{k}$/2ι/2)(h,$\textsc{k}$,ι all odd) superlattice reflections resulting from the 1:1 ordering induced unit cell doubling were also observed for the donor-doped $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$. In the TEM selected area diffraction patterns, the (h/2 k/2 l/2)(h,k,l all odd) superlattice reflection spots as well as the fundamental reflection spots were observed for all the samples, but the relative intensities of the superlattice reflection spots to the fundamental reflection spots were significantly enhanced by the donor-doping. In the TEM dark-field images, antiphase boundaries were observed only for the donor-doped $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$. It was therefore experimentally verified that doping by electron donors such as $La^3,\; Pr^{3+,4+},\; Nd^{3+},\; Sm^{3+}$, enhances the B-site cationic 1:1 ordering in $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$. These experimental results were interpreted in terms of the charge compensation mechanism.
The effects of temperature, salinity and irradiance on the growth of the harmful red tide dinoflagellate Cochlodinium polykrikoides Margelef isolated from the South Sea of Korea were examined in the laboratory. Growth was examined under the following combinations of temperature and salinity: 15, 20, 25 and $30^{\circ}C$, and 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 psu at a constant irradiance of $180\;{\mu}mol/m^2/s$. No growth was observed with a temperature of $15^{\circ}C$ and a salinitiy of 15 psu. Moderate growth rates of more than 0.30 /day were obtained at $25^{\circ}C$ with salinities of 25.35 psu. These values are similar to in situ observations for this species. The maximum growth rate, 0.35 /day, was obtained at $25^{\circ}C$ and 30 psu. In light experiments, cell growth of C. polykrikoides was conducted with constant temperature ($20^{\circ}C$) and salinity (30 psu) under light photon flux densities (PFD) of 10, 25, 50, 70, 100, 150, 250 and $350\;{\mu}mol/m^2/s$. C. polykrikoides did not grow at $10\;{\mu}mol/m^2/s$. Cell growth was observed at irradiance values of $25\;{\mu}mol/m^2/s$ and above. The irradiance-growth curve was described as ${\mu}=0.30{\cdot}(I-15.27)/(I+27.22)$, (r=0.99). This suggests a compensation PFD of $15.27\;{\mu}mol/m^2/s$ and a maximum growth rate of 0.30 /day. In conclusion, C. polykrikoides prefers high salinity, temperature and irradiance in summer in Korea. These results provide important information for understanding the mechanism of C. polykrikoides blooms and developing technology to predict blooms of this organism in the field.
This study was to investigate the growth characteristics, physiological adaptation of Pinus densiflora(Japanese Red Pine) seedlings at the artificial canopy gap in the Quercus acutissima plantation and to analyze its natural regeneration mechanism. Photosynthetic and transpiration rates were analyzed by different levels of photosynthetically active radiation and by seedling growth. Comparing to seedlings at the open area, those at the canopy gap showed more growth in height than in diameter with different levels of light quality and low light intensity, and the increase rate of dry weight was higher in the aboveground than in the underground, maintaining relatively high T/R rate. The C/F(the ratio of non-photosynthetic organs to photosynthetic organs in dry weight) of the aboveground at the canopy gap was higher than that at the open area by 0.1~0.2, while light saturation and light compensation points at the canopy gap were lower than that at the open area by $300{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}s^{-1}$ and 40%, respectively. The seedlings appeared to have shade tolerance to a certain extent at the young growth stage despite Pinus densiflora is typically classified shade-intolerant species. With light intensity lower than $400{\sim}450{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}s^{-1}$, photosynthetic rate and water use efficiency relatively increased by effective use of light energy.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate 1) the difference in static lower extremity alignment (SLEA) according to a history of lateral ankle sprain (LAS), 2) to identify SLEA factors affecting LAS, and 3) to present the cut-off value and 4) the usefulness and limitations of the SLEA measurement. Method: This case-control study recruited 88 men (age: 27.78±4.69 yrs) and 39 women (age: 24.62±4.20 yrs) subjects with and without LAS. SLEA measurement protocol included Q angle, tibiofemoral angle, genu recurvatum, rear foot (RF) angle, tibal varum and torsion, navicular drop, ankle dorsiflexion range of motion (DF ROM). Independent t-test, logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used for statistical analysis. Results: Men with a history of LAS had significantly smaller Q angles both in standing and in supine position, while women with a history of LAS had significantly greater DF ROM in non-weight bearing (NWB; p < 0.05). Logistic regression model suggests tibial varum (OR = 0.779, p = 0.021) and WB DF ROM (OR = 1.067, p = 0.045) were associated with LAS in men. In case of women, there were no significant SLEA factors for LAS, however, ROC curve analysis revealed standing RF angle (AUC = 0.647, p = 0.028) and NWB DF ROM (AUC = 0.648, p = 0.026) could be affecting factors for LAS. Conclusion: There are differences in SLEA according to the history of LAS, furthermore, the identified items were different by sex. In case of men, tibial varum and WB DF ROM affect LAS occurrence. Standing RF angle and NWB DF ROM of women could be a predictor for LAS. However, since the sensitivity and specificity in most of the SLEA measurements are low, kinematic in dynamic tasks should be considered together for a more accurate evaluation of LAS risk.

The introduction of virtual power plants is actively being discussed to solve the problem of grid acceptability caused by the spread of distributed renewable energy, which is the key to achieving carbon neutrality. However, a new business such as virtual power plants is difficult to secure economic feasibility at the initial stage of introduction because it is common that there is no compensation mechanism. Therefore, appropriate support including subsidy is required at the early stage. But, it is generally difficult to obtain the cost model to determine the subsidy level because of the lack of enough data for the new business model. In this study, a survey of domestic experts on the requirements, appropriate scale, and cost required for the introduction of virtual power plants is conducted. First, resource composition scenarios are designed from the survey results to consider the impact of the resource composition on the cost. Then, the cost estimation model is obtained using the individual cost estimation data for their resource compositions using logistic regression analysis. In the case study, appropriate initial subsidy levels are analyzed and compared for the virtual power plants on the scale of 20-500MW. The results show that mid-to-large resource composition cases show 29-51% lower cost than small-to-large resource composition cases.
The Codonopsis pilosula is traditional oriental herb associated with immune-modulatory functions and has anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidative activity. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation of Codonopsis pilosula extract powder (CEP) on the immunity and productivity in sows and piglets. A total of 20 pregnant sows were randomly assigned to two dietary treatments, which was given a corn-soybean meal diet with 0% and 0.5% CEP from 40 days prepartum to weaning (25 days postpartum). The immune system of piglets was expected to build up, because the feeding of CEP might increase the colostrum contents in sows. We also predicted that the growth performance of piglets also could be increased by some compensation effects due to the increased immunity of piglets. In results, immunities of sows and piglets as well as growth performance of piglets were not affected by the supplementation of CEP. The correlation between the colostrum and the serum on the IgG contents tended to have a positive correlation, although there was no significant (coefficient, 0.435; P=0.102). This result suggests that the supplementation of CEP may increase IgG contents in sows and piglets and contribute to improve immunity of piglets. In conclusion, it is thought that the physiologically active substances of CEP did not influence to the immune synergic effects in vivo of sows. Thus, the metabolic and action mechanism of the physiologically active substances of CEP should be explored to evaluate the availability of CEP as a feed additive for the immunomodulator.
Globally, the elderly population is increasing rapidly, which means that the number of deformity correction operations for elderly spine deformity patient has increased. On the other hand, for aged patients with deformity correction operation, preoperative considerations to reduce the complications and predict a good clinical outcome are not completely understood. First, medical comorbidity needs to be evaluated preoperatively with the Cumulative Illness Rating Scale for Geriatrics or the Charlson Comorbidity Index scores. Medical comorbidities are associated with the postoperative complication rate. Managing these comorbidities preoperatively decreases the complications after a spine deformity correction operation. Second, bone densitometry need to be checked for osteoporosis. Many surgical techniques have been introduced to prevent the complications associated with posterior instrumentation for osteoporosis patients. The preoperative use of an osteogenesis inducing agent - teriparatide was also reported to reduce the complication rate. Third, total body sagittal alignment need to be considered. Many elderly spine deformity patients accompanied degenerative changes and deformities at their lower extremities. In addition, a compensation mechanism induces the deformed posture of the lower extremities. Recently, some authors introduced a parameter including total body sagittal alignment, which can predict the clinical outcome better than previous parameters limited to the spine or pelvis. As a result, total body sagittal alignment needs to be considered for elderly spine deformity patients after a deformity correction operation. In conclusion, for elderly spine deformity patients, medical comorbidities and osteoporosis need to be evaluated and managed preoperatively to reduce the complication rate. In addition, total body sagittal alignment needs to be considered, which is associated with better clinical outcomes than the previous parameters limited to the spine or pelvis.
