장시간 근로와 산업재해와의 관계 (The Relationship between Long Working Hours and Industrial Accident)

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the relationship between working hours and the occurrence of industrial disasters based on manufacturing businesses that are members of Federation of Korean Trade Unions.Methods: Repliers were managers of the safety & health department in the union, and 215 surveys out of 300 businesses that agreed to participate in the research were analyzed. Results: 94 out of 300 companies, which counted for 43.7%, replied to have experienced industrial disasters. 56 of those (59.6%) had less than 52 working hours per week, and 38 companies (40.4%) had more than 52 working hours per week. 109 companies, which counted for 50.7%, did not have an incident of industrial disaster. Companies with an average of more than 52 hours of working hours per week were shown to have a 2.29 times (95% CI 1.08~4.87) higher possibility of having industrial disasters than those with less than 52 hours of working hours. Conclusion: As the study showed that industrial disasters were more likely to occur in businesses with working hours longer than 52 hours, ways to reduce working hours need to be developed and various safety measures need to be taken to prevent industrial disasters in case workers are undergoing long working hours.

치과위생사의 직무 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (A Study on Factors Affecting Dental Hygienists' Job Stress)

  • The purpose of this study is to find options which reduce the job stress and to enhance morale through a variable analysis, and also apply this data in the legal and administration fields. The data for the research was obtained from 217 dental hygienists working in the dental clinics, dental hospitals and university's dental hospitals' in Seoul. The tool used by this study was a Questionnaire measuring on-the-job stress of dental hygienists, was a modified and revised. The Questionnaire version used to measure bank's job stress and used to suggest options by Dae-ha Yoon(1991). Classification of items for measuring job stress was based on Theoretical Study on Job Stress by Dae-hyon Song(1986). The scale used in study was the two points (yes or no in the job stress) scale measuring for variables. The period of data collection was 30 days from December 4, 1995 to January 5, 1996. The methods of data collection were self-writing, direct visit, and postal Questionnaire answering, 224 copies of Questionnaire data were collected, but only 217 copies were used. 7 copies could not be analyzed, were not used for this study. The data analysis was conducted by SPSS after coding the collected raw data. The general characteristics was obtained from real digits and percentages. In order to analyze the difference of sub-variables against the job stress based on general characteristics. Mean, Standard Deviation, and F test (ANDVA) were conducted. The following were the results of job stress variables: 1. Meaningful variable affecting the working organization, is compensation system(p〈0.03). 2. Meaningful variable affecting the working period, is work overload(p〈0.02). 3. Meaningful variable affecting average patients per day, is the career management and payment(p〈0.04, p〈0.01). 4. Meaningful variable affecting number of staff, is the comrade relationship, role conflict among patients, work overload, and job overload(p〈0.000, p〈0.05, p〈0.04, p〈0.01). The comrade relationship is most affected to the number of staffs aides. 5. Meaningful variables affecting job diversion, are the desire and value, the non-role play, and the environment(p〈0.003, p〈0.02, p〈0.005).

키넥트 카메라를 이용한 타이어 문자 인식 및 보정 시스템 설계 (Development of Tire Character Recognition and Compensation System Using the Kinect camera)

  • 본 논문에서는 타이어 표면의 돌출문자를 인식하여 데이터화 및 수집하는 방법에 관하여 논하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 문자를 인식 시스템과 달리 타이어의 돌출문자 인식에 대해 전 처리 단계에서 키넥트 카메라 영상을 이미지 데이터로 변환한 후, 문자 영역을 탐색한다. 그 후 이진 영상, 노이즈 필터 등을 통하여 이미지 개선을 하여 숫자 및 글자를 분석한다. 인식 단계에서는 문자의 판별 등을 이용하여 인식 하고 추가적으로 타이어 정보 인식 오류 보정 알고리즘을 통하여 글자의 오류인식에 대한 보정을 하여 타이어의 돌출 문자를 100% 인식하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 타이어 문자를 인식하는 방법과 기술을 개발하고자 한다. 이미 문자 인식을 하는 많은 방법들이 있지만, 타이어 문자는 일반적인 문자인식과 다르게 추가된 기술을 요구하기 때문에 문자 인식을 하는 추가 기술 방식과 알고리즘을 개발하고자 한다.

퀴즈게임의 체감형 제스처 인터페이스 프로토타입 개발 (A Study on Tangible Gesture Interface Prototype Development of the Quiz Game)

  • 우리는 본 논문에서 사용자 제스처 인터페이스 기반 퀴즈게임 콘텐츠를 제안한다. 우리는 기존의 아날로그 방식으로 수행해 오던 퀴즈게임의 요소들을 파악하여 디지털화함으로써 퀴즈 진행자의 역할을 콘텐츠 프로그램이 담당할 수 있도록 하였다. 우리는 키넥트 카메라를 사용하여 깊이영상을 획득하고 깊이영상에서 사용자 분할, 머리 위치 검출 및 추적, 손 검출 등의 전처리 작업과 손들기, 손 상하이동, 주먹 모양, 패스, 주먹 쥐고 당김 등의 명령형 손 제스처 인식기술을 개발하였다. 특히 우리는 사람이 일상생활에서 물리적인 객체를 조작하는 동작으로 인터페이스를 위한 제스처를 정의함으로써 사용자가 이동, 선택, 확인 등의 추상적인 개념을 인터페이스 과정에서 체감할 수 있도록 디자인하였다. 앞서 발표되었던 선행 작업과 비교할 때, 우리는 승리 팀에 대한 카드보상 절차를 추가하여 콘텐츠의 완성도를 높였으며, 손 상하이동 인식과 주먹 모양 인식 알고리즘 등을 개선하여 문제 보기선택의 성능을 크게 향상시켰고, 체계적인 실험을 통해 만족할 만한 인식 성능을 입증하였다. 구현된 콘텐츠는 실시간 테스트에서 만족스러운 제스처 인식 결과를 보였으며 원활한 퀴즈게임 진행이 가능하였다.

근접노드와 거리변화량분석기법을 이용한 선내 위치인식 개선 알고리즘 (An improvement algorithm for localization using adjacent node and distance variation analysis techniques in a ship)

  • 최근 정보 통신 기술의 발전에 따라 GPS를 이용한 실외 위치 기반 서비스와 더불어 정밀한 위치추적이 필요한 실내 위치 기반 서비스에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 철골 구조로 이루어진 선박은 전파의 회절 및 굴절에 의한 레인징 오차로 인하여 정확한 위치 측정이 어렵다. 이러한 실내 환경에서 발생하는 위치측정 오차를 줄이기 위하여 본 논문에서는 다중경로에 강인하고 자유공간에서 수 센티미터의 오차를 가지는 UWB(Ultra-wide-band)를 이용하여 어떠한 부가적인 센서 없이도 선내 복도와 같은 좁은 통로에 적합한 거리 개선 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 개선 방법은 고정노드 배치로 인한 거리 오차는 피타고라스 이론과 근접노드기법으로 해결하고 복도의 코너 구역에서 크게 발생하는 레인징 오차는 거리변화량분석기법을 적용하여 보정하였다. 실험결과 제안한 방법이 기존의 CSS(Chirp spread spectrum) 방법과 비교할 때 노드 수와 거리오차를 각각 66%와 57.41%로 줄였다.

  • There are increasing demands from the industry for intelligent robot-calibration solutions, which can be tightly integrated to the manufacturing process. A proposed solution can simplify conventional robot-calibration and teaching methods without tedious procedures and lengthy training time. iGPS(Indoor GPS) system is a laser based real-time dynamic tracking/measurement system. The key element is acquiring and reporting three-dimensional(3D) information, which can be accomplished as an integrated system or as manual contact based measurements by a user. A 3D probe is introduced as the user holds the probe in his hand and moves the probe tip over the object. The X, Y, and Z coordinates of the probe tip are measured in real-time with high accuracy. In this paper, a new approach of robot-calibration and teaching system is introduced by implementing a 3D measurement system for measuring and tracking an object with motions in up to six degrees of freedom. The general concept and kinematics of the metrology system as well as the derivations of an error budget for the general device are described. Several experimental results of geometry and its related error identification for an easy compensation / teaching method on an industrial robot will also be included.

신규간호사와 프리셉터가 인지하는 프리셉터의 교수효율성 비교 (A Comparison of Preceptors' and New Graduate Nurses' Perception of Teaching Effectiveness)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare preceptors and new graduate nurses on their perception of preceptor teaching effectiveness. Methods: The participants were 90 new nurses and 90 preceptors who worked in A medical center. The data were collected from July 1 to September 30, 2008. A cross-sectional descriptive survey was done using a structured questionnaire. Results: New nurses' perception ($4.07{\pm}.44$) of the preceptor teaching effectiveness was significantly higher than perception of the preceptors ($3.57{\pm}.37$). Fifty five percent of new graduate nurses reported a lack of coherence in the preceptor's practice guidelines. For 5 causal factors classified on the teaching effectiveness, the factor of 'Professional knowledge and ability' showed the highest score, but 'Interpersonal and communication skill' got lowest score for both group. Preceptors responded that they did not have enough time to teach well because of their heavy workloads. Conclusions: These results suggest that the preceptors need appropriate compensation and education opportunities, and new graduate nurses need consistent education by the teaching professionals. Therefore, it is important to give preceptors full charge of the preceptorship. Also, it will be necessary to develop education programs to enhance interpersonal and communication skill for preceptors and new nurses.

Effects of Dental Hygienists Job Stress on Somatization in an Area

  • Background: This study aims to analyze the job stress of dental hygienists and the factors affecting somatization and to provide basic data for effectively managing job stress and somatization of dental hygienists. Methods: In this study, the data collected from 208 dental hygienists working in Jeollabuk-do Province were analyzed. Job stress was investigated using a questionnaire with 43 questions. In addition, the degree of somatization was evaluated through a simplified psychotherapy examination (Symptom Check List-90-Revision). Results: Age, employment history, position, average monthly income, night duty execution status, and perceived health status were significantly associated with job stress (p<0.05). The job stress sub-items scores based on general characteristics showed significance in 'workload' for those working a five-day workweek and perceived health status (p<0.05). Age, average monthly income, and perceived health status were noted in 'role conflict as a professional'. In 'lack of expertise and skill', it was noted that age, employment history, position, income, and night clinic were implemented. In 'improper treatment and interpersonal issues', level of education and perceived health status were significant (p<0.05). The higher the job stress, the higher the somatization symptom score (p<0.05), and the higher the job stress component, the higher the somatization symptom score (p<0.01). Conclusion: The job stress of dental hygienists should be reduced, and the symptoms of somatization should be mitigated. To improve the quality of medical services and the work efficiency of dental hygienists, proper treatment and compensation systems should be implemented for them to take pride as professional. Further, programs and regulations on mitigating job stress and somatization symptoms should be developed.

회전을 고려한 정밀 양방향 움직임 예측 프레임 보간 기법 (Frame Interpolation using Bilateral Motion Refinement with Rotation)

  • 홀드형 디스플레이 시스템이 개발되면서 화질의 개선을 위해 프레임율 증가 변환 기법이 고려되고 있다. 프레임율 증가 변환 기법은 두 인접 프레임들로부터 하나 이상의 사이 프레임을 보간하여 시간적 해상도를 향상시킨다. 본 논문에서는 회전을 고려하여 양방향 움직임 예측 방법을 적용한 새로운 프레임율 증가 변환 기법을 제안한다. 먼저 각 블록의 정확한 움직임 벡터를 얻기 위해 두 인접 프레임들로부터 양방향 움직임 예측 방법을 수행한다. 초기 움직임 벡터가 정해지면, 움직임 벡터 필드의 연속성과 정확하지 못한 움직임 벡터의 제거를 위해 움직임 벡터 필드에 메디안 필터를 적용한다. 벡터 메디안 필터를 거친 움직임 벡터들은 회전을 고려한 정밀 움직임 보정을 통해 정밀한 움직임 벡터로 갱신된다. 회전요소를 가진 최종 움직임 벡터가 구해지면, 중첩된 블록 이동 보상 방법을 적용하여 중간 프레임을 생성할 수 있다. 실험결과, 제안하는 알고리즘은 이전 방법에 비해 주관적 및 객관적으로 더 좋은 성능을 보였다.

대학 캠퍼스의 에너지 소비 실태 조사를 통한 탄소 인센티브 제도 연구 (A Study on Carbon Incentive System Based on Investigation of Energy Consumption in Korean Universities)

  • Universities which have taken an important role to develop the human resources, became one of emitters of greenhouse gases, they need to find a way to reduce global warming gases through reduction of energy consumption. This study is intented to propose a solution that can reduce the greenhouse gases at universities located in Korea. To conduct this study, we have chosen a university at Wonju in Kangwon province for a case study and investigated the emissions of carbon dioxide from campus facilities and residential area. The data has become a footstone to estimate the assumed amount of carbon emission for top 23 energy consumption universities in Korea. We calculate the amount for carbon emission, not only for facilities in campus, but also for residential buildings, amount for emission is increased severely by showing $9780.94tCO_2$, which is 2.1 times more than average amount for emission of greenhouse gases researched in existing statistics. Universities have difficulty in introducing new energy generation system, as having been done business companies or other commercial facilities but they are required to introduce some educational methods since it is a academic space. Incentive to universities reducing carbon emission in campus is a system to provide incentives with students, professors, administrative personnels and others in campus as a compensation for their efforts to save energy. It is needed to establish the infrastructures for measuring energy consumption in campus.
