  • One of the major limitations of productivity and quality in metal cutting is the machining accuracy of machine tools. The machining accuracy is affected by geometric errors, thermally-induced errors, and the deterioration of the machine tools. Geometric and thermal errors of machine tools should be measured and compensated to manufacture high quality products. In metal cutting, the machining accuracy is more affected by thermal errors than by geometric errors. In this study, the compensation device and temperature-based algorithm have been presented in order to compensate thermal error of machine tools under the real-time. The thermal error is modeled by means of angularity errors of a column and thermal drift error of the spindle unit which are measured by the touch probe unit with a star type styluses, a designed spherical ball artifact, and five gap sensors. In order to compensate thermal characteristics under several operating conditions, experiments performed with five gap sensors and manufactured compensation device on the horizontal machining center.

  • This paper proposes a percentage current differential relaying algorithm for bus protection using an advanced compensation algorithm of the secondary current of CTs. A percentage current differential relaying algorithm may maloperate in case of external faults with CT saturation. Thus, it needs an additional method to cope with CT saturation. The advanced compensation algorithm is unaffected by a remanent flux. The proposed relaying algorithm does not need any additional methods for CT saturation and is unaffected by the remanent flux and has the wide operating zone of current differential relays.

한일상관기의 잔차 지연 보정 알고리즘의 개선 (Improvement of Residual Delay Compensation Algorithm of KJJVC)

  • 본 논문에서는 FX 형식의 한일상관기(Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator, KJJVC)의 잔차 지연 보정 알고리즘을 제안하였다. KJJVC의 초기 잔차 지연보정 알고리즘에는 연산의 고속화를 위해 정수 연산과 위상보정 계수를 위한 cos/sin table을 도입하였다. 그리고 잔차 지연 알고리즘의 초기설계에서 데이터의 타이밍과 잔차 지연 위상의 불일치와 비트쉬프트와 잔차 지연 위상의 불일치 문제를 해결하였다. VCS의 잔차 지연 알고리즘의 최종 설계에서는 잔차 지연보정된 값을 FFT segment에 적용할 때 잔차 지연 보정 회전 메모리가 초기화 되지 않는 것을 수정하였다. 제안한 잔치 지연 보정 알고리즘을 이용하여, 교차 전력 스펙트럼의 대역폭 모양이 모든 대역폭에 대해서 손실이 없이 평탄한 것을 확인하였다. 제안한 잔차 지연보정 알고리즘의 유효성을 확인하기 위해 시뮬레이터와 KJJVC를 이용하여 실제 관측데이터를 대상으로 상관처리 시험을 수행하였다. 실험결과를 통하여 제안한 잔차 지연 보정 알고리즘이 KJJVC에 잘 적용되고 있으며, 신호대 잡음비가 약 8% 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

장거리 병렬 송전선로용 대지 정전용량 보상에 의한 고장점 표정 알고리즘 (Fault Location Algorithm with Ground Capacitance Compensation for Long Parallel Transmission Line)

  • This paper deals with an improved fault location algorithm with compensation ground capacitance through distributed parameter for a long parallel T/L. For the purpose of fault locating algorithm non-influenced by source impedance and fault resistance, the loop method was used in the system modeling analysis. This algorithm uses a positive and negative sequence of the fault current for high accuracy of fault locating calculation. Power system model of 160km and 300km long parallel T/L was simulated using EMTP software. To evaluate of the proposed algorithm, we used the several different cases 64 sampled data per cycle. The test results show that the proposed algorithm was minimized the error factor and speed of fault location estimation.

  • A current differential relay may maloperate for external faults with CT saturation and requires an additional method to cope with the problem. This paper proposes a current differential relaying algorithm for transmission line protection using an advanced compensation algorithm of the secondary current of CTs. The compensation algorithm is unaffected by a remanent flux. The proposed algorithm does not need an additional method for CT saturation and thus can achieve high stability for an external fault.

  • 본 논문은 항법장치 위치보정을 위해 칼만필터를 적용한 GPS/INS융합의 다중보정방법을 제안한다. 연구에서는 관성항법장치를 구현하기 위해 9축 항법장치로 보정알고리즘을 적용하여 위치오차를 감소시킨 방법을 적용했다. 일반적으로 GPS/INS는 위치정보를 얻어낼 수 있지만 위치정보를 구하는 과정에서 오차 또한 더불어 커지게 되기에 이를 보정하기 위한 강인한 오차 보정 알고리즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 9축 관성센서(mpu-9150)의 외란에 대한 강인성 향상을 위해 가속도계 보정 알고리즘을 사용하여 tilt보정을 수행했으며, 제어 대상체의 정확한 방위를 파악할 수 있도록 Yaw각 재정의 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 최종적으로 GPS/INS와 칼만 필터를 함께 결합한 통합시스템을 구현하였다.

  • In order to reconstruct a high resolution image, it is important to reconstruct frames from fields. A number of approaches have been developed in making frames. In this paper, we propose a new deinterlacing algorithm based on local motion compensation, which is performed based on statistical property. The proposed algorithm achieves faster processing speed than block matching algorithm and higher resolution than inter-field interpolation. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated experimentally.

  • This paper proposes an enhanced algorithm for person identification system utilizing hand vein pattern. The conventional algorithm does not cope with distortion caused by image rotation caused by misplaced hands on the imaging device. A straightforward approach to consider the rotaional compensation required too much computational load, thus, we devised an approach to expect the rotation direction along with image translation, reducing the compuational requirement dramatically In this paper, we present the details of the algorithm with experimental results with the new algorithm.

  • This paper deals with current harmonics and unbalanced source voltages compensation using combined filter system. Filter system consists of a series active filter and parallel passive filters. Passive filters were a traditional method to compensate current harmonics, so those were installed in power system widely. The active filter can be a substitution to improve filtering characteristics and complement drawbacks of the passive filter. The combined system of the active power filter and passive filter can has a better compensation performances and economical goods. The series type active power filter injects compensation voltage into power system by transformers. It's compensation principle is able to applicate for voltage compensation. A new control algorithm for series active filter to compensate current harmonics and unbalanced source voltages is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, a compensation voltage for harmonic reduction is calculated directly by instantaneous reactive power theory, and a compensation voltage for unbalanced source voltage is calculated in based on a synchronous reference frame. By experiments, we show validity of proposed compensation method.

  • 본 논문에서는 시불변 전송 채널 및 주파수 선택성 페이딩 채널에서 최소 제곱 평균 알고리즘과 순차적 최소 제곱 알고리즘에 선형 탭 지연선 구조를 도입하여 보상 알고리즘의 제곱 평균 에러 특성을 고찰하였다. 또한 기존의 방식에서 사용하는 단일 탭 갱신 알고리즘과 본 논문에서 제안한 다중 탭 갱신 알고리즘을 비교, 분석하고 이를 수렴 특성 관점에서 고찰하였다.
