  • Objective : The purpose of this clinical research is the investigation of the effects between acupuncture group(control group) and NURIEYE-1 group (experimental group) in myopia Methods : Comparison clinical study was conducted with the randomly arranged 32 patients for acupuncture group(control group) and NURIEYE-1 group(experimental group). For effectiveness evaluation, eye sight test, MQOL and DITI were tested three times with visits for every 4 weeks. With SAS, Statistical analysis was performed by using paired t-test and two sample t-test. Statistical significance was achieved with less than 5% probability (p<0.05). Result : 1. There was no significant effect from the eye sight comparison between the two group. We had improved results in average with MQOL, however, there was no statistical significance. Though there was also no significant result with DITI average comparison between two group, we witnessed significant effect in some part of MQOL. 2. Nevertheless Periodical comparison test showed weak significance with eye sight and DITI, significant effect was found in some part of MQOL. 3. With periodical comparison tests, there were significant effects in eye sight, MQOL and DITI with the experimental groups and control groups, respectively. Conclusion : There was no significant eye sight improvement. However, with acupuncture point stimulation, we think there are some positive effects for the relaxation of excessive stress in eyes.

  • Monopulse RADAR is the radar which detects the range of the target using a single transmitted signal. In this paper, using 9.41GHz X-band radar, the research for the phase comparison monopulse algorithm used in the marine environment is conducted. In addition, by applying the phase comparison monopulse algorithm, we calculate the RMSE for the various antenna spacings and the positions of the target. Based on that result, we compare the performance of the phase comparison monopulse algorithm in the uniform linear array with that in the non-uniform linear array. Finally, the differences in performance among the MUSIC algorithm, Bartlett method and the proposed phase comparison monopulse algorithm are analyzed.

  • Supposing that somatotype evaluation results would have significant differences between the public group with less amounts of exercises and the special group with intensive exercises for three to four times a day, this study aimed at comparing the mutual consistency between the results determined by somatotype evaluation tools such as visually calculated index(VCI), R$\ddot{o}$hrer's Index(RI) and Body Mass Index(BMI). The public, taekwondo players and judo players groups were composed of fifty persons, taekwondo players and judo players passed through VCI determination, respectively. Their height and weight were examined and analyzed with somatotype evaluation tools. Comparison of somatotype dispersion of RI and VCI showed that most women were determined by VCI as lean type but were determined by RI as normal type. And that women were determined by VCI as fat type but were determined by RI as normal type. Therefore both men and women showed significant differences in VCI and RI. Comparison of somatotype dispersion of VCI and BMI showed that both men and women were overestimated or underestimated by VCI rather than by BMI. Comparison of somatotype dispersion of RI and BMI showed that men were less determined by BMI as lean type compared with women; both men and women less determined by BMI rather than by RI as normal type; and both men and women, in particular, were more determined by BMI as fat type but men were more determined by BMI rather than by RI as fat type. Total somatotype consistency by tools showed that VCI has the greatest possibility of determining the public group, compared with other groups as lean type and that the consistency of the three tools were relatively higher for the taekwondo players and judo players groups, compared with the public.

  • A 3D body scan measurement (SM) is used as an alternative to physical measurements (PM) as the information for designing industrial products. This study compared the mean difference (MD) between SM and PM by gender and analyzed the causes of the difference. The data used in this study were the scan measurements and physical measurements of adults aged twenty to seventy years old of the fifth Size Korea survey. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The comparison of MD between men and women for all subjects: The measurement of the significant differences between men and women were height, neck base girth, chest girth, under-bust girth, waist girth, armscye girth, back length, and foot length. The causes of difference are the difference of body shape. 2. The comparison of MD between men and women by BMI groups: Many measurements had significant differences between men and women at normal weight and overweight but underweight. Some measurements had significant differences only at a specific BMI group because the body shape difference between men and women is revealed clearly in the group. The comparison of MD between men and women by age groups: The measurements that show significant difference at more than four age groups were neck girth, chest girth, under-bust girth, waist girth, armscye girth, and foot length. The height and abdomen girth had a significant difference in the age range of 20's and 30's. There were measurements that increase MD with an increase in age; under-bust girth and lateral shoulder length for women and lateral shoulder length for men. This comparison of MD between men and women provide the correct guidelines for the use of SM.
