Results: The empirical results show that government subsidies can promote R&D investment of animal husbandry companies in China. In addition, firm size, debt ratio, and firm profitability have positive moderating effects on the relationship between government subsidies and R&D investment. Conclusions: Based on the results, the paper concludes that government subsidies play an important role in the process of R&D of China's animal husbandry companies. This paper recommends that managers of animal husbandry companies should enhance the utilization efficiency of government subsidies and put great emphasis on R&D investment. The policymakers should implement more incentives to encourage animal husbandry companies to invest more in R&D.

The digital culture industry has met new demands for cultural consumption and brought new experiences to consumers in the digital economy era. This paper uses the public data of 36 Chinese A-share listed companies in digital culture from 2018 to 2019 to construct a technical innovation efficiency evaluation index system for listed companies in China's digital cultural industry. Through the use of data envelopment analysis (DEA) method, the technical innovation efficiency of 36 listed companies in China's digital cultural industry was evaluated. The research results show that: (1) China's 36 listed companies have low technological innovation efficiency; (2) the allocation of R&D resources of listed companies is unreasonable; (3) there is a large difference in technological innovation efficiency among listed companies. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the efficiency of technology innovation of listed companies in China's digital culture industry by investing more R&D funds, distributing R&D resources, establishing effective dynamic incentive mechanism, promoting government-industrial-academic research.

  • This paper analyses the results of a survey questionnaire which is made for logistics service providers in Shanghai, China. Based on 177 valid providers' responses, the study results show that the logistics industry of China consists mainly of small and medium-sized companies. Furthermore, most of the logistics companies are highly capable of providing traditional logistics services and lack of the capability to provide other value-added logistics services. Their self-assessments indicate that they generally perform well in different types of performance measures. This study indicates that the market for 3PL services in China has a reasonable potential for further development, though 3PL practices are still at a nascent stage in China. This paper presents full details and implications of the results of the survey and then tries to provide some helpful suggestion for the development of Chinese logistics companies.
