This study was conducted to investigate how the community values taught at home by parents affect the soundness of family life. The 914 participants in the sample were parents residing in Seoul. Major findings are described in the following: 1) The general level education of community-oriented values at home, which was measured by the level of parents' practice of community-oriented behavior, was very insufficient. 2) The soundness of family life was measured in six sub-areas. The six areas showed varying degrees of soundness, but the overall level of soundness was satisfactory. The conjugal relationship had the highest degree of soundness, whereas the general everyday atmosphere at home marked the lowest level. 3) The only significant independent variable that affected the practice of community values was the participants's subjective perception of their social class standing. 4) The level of practice of community values and social class variables were found to influence the soundness of family life. The level of practice of community values was an especially strong predictor in all areas of family soundness. In conclusion, the education of community values at home, measured by the parental practice of community-oriented behavior, positively influences the soundness of the family.

Recently, the concept of web site stickiness receives attention as a measure of strategy to influence user's visit and behavior on web sites. Web site stickiness means site visit frequency and stay duration. This study investigates the moderating effect of espoused national cultural values on Internet community stickiness with the assumption that dimensional values of national culture can be internalized as individual’s espoused values. Espoused values (i.e., espoused national cultural values) are defined as the degree to which an individual embraces the values of his or her national culture. Our findings can be summarized as follows. First, femininity and power distance moderate the influence of user participation on Internet community stickiness. Second, uncertainty avoidance and power distance moderates the effect of social influence on Internet community stickiness. However, femininity and collectivism do not moderate the effect of social influence on Internet community stickiness. Third, uncertainty avoidance, femininity, and collectivism moderate the influence of network effect on Internet community stickiness. Fourth, masculinity does not moderate the influence of usefulness on Internet community stickiness.

Objectives: his study was performed to examine whether a community organization strategy had been driven by core values explicit in Ottawa Charter and to give some suggestions for using values in health promotion practice in Korea. Methods: We searched literature online with key words of 'values', 'health promotion', and/or 'Ottawa Charter', etc, and reviewed published papers on design, implementation, and evaluation of Health Plus Happiness Plus Projects in Gyeongsangnam-Do, a community organization strategy. Results: Evident core values since Ottawa Charter had been holistic definition of health, empowerment, community participation, addressing the impact of broader determinants of health, reducing social inequities and injustice, and intersectoral collaboration. A community organization strategy was good at realization of most values. Some ways for value-driven health promotion practice were suggested. Conclusions: More discussion and debate on values in health promotion are needed in Korea.

This research intends to observe the effects of social capital regarding fashion social enterprises on the community sense of participating consumers, and verify the relationship of the effects that such social capital and community sense have on sustainability formation variable(shared values, suitability of values, behavioral flow, cognitive belief and long-term relationship orientation) of social enterprises. For such analysis, a sample of 400 consumers with experience of purchasing products of fashion social enterprises more than once was utilized, and path analysis was conducted utilizing AMOS 20.0. As a result of this research, first, information sharing, social participation among the characteristic factors of social enterprises' social capital had a meaningful impact on shared values, and self-pursuit and significance meaningfully affected the suitability of values. Second, mutual influence, sense of belonging, satisfaction of needs and emotional bond among the characteristic factors of community sense between social enterprises and consumers meaningfully affected shared values, whereas mutual influence, sense of belonging and emotional bond substantially influenced suitability of values. Third, shared values and suitability of values affected the relationship between behavioral flow and cognitive trust, and behavioral flow and cognitive trust both had meaningful impact on long-term relationship orientation.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the longitudinal relationship between Korean youth's social withdrawal, depression and community sense mediated by achievement values. For this purpose, we analyzed three years of the longitudinal panel data (2011-2013) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS). Data were collected from 2,351 first year middle school students using the latent growth model using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 22.0. The main analysis results were as follows. First, social withdrawal and depression decreased and community sense increased as time passed. These results supported the linear change model. Second, the initial status of social withdrawal and depression had effects on the initial status and change rates of community sense. Achievement values, the partial mediator, had a positive influence on initial community sense but had a negative influence on change rates of community sense. We discussed how to improve Korean youth's community sense based on these results.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the family values and the factors of satisfying family life. Throughout the study the changes of family values and marital satisfaction were examined. The results of the study are as follows; 1) Whereas the family values of people living in urban community were modernized to a great extent- in position of wife, role of husband and wife, preference between son and daughter, view on filial piety- the family values of people living in rural community were remained its traditional form. Form both areas modernization of family values was found in support of old parent. 2) Both Seoul and Andong showed the significant difference on family values according to subjects' education and age. In Seoul, the socio-economic level was influential factor in determining subjects' family values. 3) Marital satisfaction was found higher among people living in rural community than in people living in urban community. Since its very important not only to the individual but also to the society for a human being to be content in his surrounding , the reestablishment of the housewives family values should be followed so that other family members may approach the modernized family values.

Purpose: This study identified the effects of the three types of consumer interactions on the utilitarian and hedonic values experienced by community members, their degree of participation, and brand loyalty. In addition, the mediating effect of virtual interactivity between the interactions that occur within the online brand community and the value experienced by community members was also identified. Research design, data and methodology: An online survey was distributed, and the data gathered was analyzed using structural equations modeling. Results: Test results showed that product-information interaction has a positive effect on utilitarian value and interpersonal interaction has a positive effect on hedonic value. Human-computer interaction was found to have a negative effect on hedonic value and no significant effect on utilitarian value. Furthermore, it was revealed that among the three types of interactions, virtual interactivity had a mediating effect only in the relationship between human-computer interaction and hedonic value. Moreover, utilitarian values experienced by community members affected their level of participation which ultimately enhances brand loyalty. Hedonic value did not affect their level of participation within the online brand community. Conclusions: When marketers establish online brand community strategies, they must place elements that can directly help the use of brands and products.

To present the spatial variation of fish assemblages in the Geum River in Korea, the concept of beta diversity (β-diversity) estimates based on the variance of the community data table was applied. Fish communities and environmental variables were collected from 13 sampling sites along the in mid-low reaches of the River. We calculated the β-diversity and local contribution to beta diversity (LCBD) values at each site depending on the two types of data, 'occurrence' with Jaccard and Sørensen dissimilarity coefficients, and 'abundance' with Hellinger distance. Multivariate and correlation analyses were also performed to determine the relationships between LCBD and other variables, such as community indices and physicochemical and hydrological factors. The β-diversity values of fish communities in the River were estimated as 0.218 and 0.145 for occurrence data table with Jaccard and Sørensen respectively, and 0.268 for abundance data. Similar patterns of LCBD along the sampling sites were detected in two dissimilarity measurements of occurrence table, and LCBD values with abundance data were slightly different. The LCBD values are strongly correlated with community indices, and also suitable for indicating the uniqueness of fish assemblages. However, further research is needed to determine the LCBD value as an indicator of environmental variability.

Purposes: Rapid aging and increase of high chronic diseases of the elderly are increasing the needs for expanding elderly care beyond the concept of treatment in medical institutions. This study is to discuss the core values, functions, and roles of municipal hospitals and suggest a suitable community care model. Methodology: The survey was collected twice derived from the domestic expert groups. This study analyzed experts' responses using Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process, using Microsoft Excel 2016. Findings: Among the core values of the municipal hospitals, it was shown that community linkage had the highest priority. The publicity had the highest priority among the functions and roles of the municipal hospitals. In the community care models presented in this study, the model focused on 'Community Care Integration Center' showed highest relevance, suitability and applicability. Practical Implications: This study suggested three different community care models and derived the most suitable model for community care, which is focused on the municipal hospitals. It suggested effective application of the community care model to promote community care in each community.

Vegetation composition and structure of forest community at Mt. Bislsan, Dalseung-Gun, Daegu in Korea, were studied using a qualitative with a quantitative approach and its vegetation types and various ecological characteristics such as the importance values, species diversity of the major component species analyzed. The forest vegetation were classified into 2 community group, 14 community, 6 group, and total of 18 vegetation units. Pinus densiflora distributed mainly from lower at the sea level, while Quercus mongolica tended to distributed upper altitude in Physiognomical vegetation. the species diversity values showed mostly 0.8 and Quercus dentata, Quercus serrato and Cornus controversa Community and so on highly showed to 1.0 and 1.1. According to the results of importance value analysis, the I.V. of pinus densiflora and Quercus mongolica highly showed in the tree and subtree layer, and Rhododendron mucronulatum and Lindera obtusiloba and so on highly showed in the shrub.
