Workshops and discussions on the community planning process and visions for the future have progressed with the cooperation of the administration, citizens and specialists. However, they require a technical proof. For this reason, it is difficult to achieve a standard, whereby city dwellers are satisfied. In this study, the Delphi method was selected as a support tool, and an attempt was made to grasp the intentions and interests of city dwellers. Then, the community planning process was applied by using the Delphi method for urban areas with sparse identification. Participants were residents and commuters in the target areas. Categories were 'environment', 'community' and 'cultural sensibility'. For reducing the cost and time taken by investigators, and to enable those living in the community to participate in voluntaries and flexibility, we used a web survey as an investigation method. As a result, we could express the regional characteristics, problems and community planning intentions of city dwellers. The results suggested the validity of web surveys in regional evaluation, and explained the visions for the future and response attitudes, as well as the existence of a new identification that gives consideration to voluntary and flexibility of participation.

Objectives: The goals of this study are to exploring critical factors and methods to improve Korean Community Care through the cases of GyeongsangNamdo. Methods: For this study, we performed in-depth interviews with 90 people involved in Community Care services of 6 regions, and the collected data were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed utilizing NVivo12. In the end, we reconfirmed the process through Topic Modeling analysis. Results: We conducted descriptive statistics and qualitative data analysis collected through surveys and in-depth interviews. In the case of qualitative analysis, we extracted principle codes (Need, Lack, Absence), and sorted the contents into sub-categories. The response rate of 'Need to strengthen capabilities' was the highest, 'Need to communicate and share information' was the second, and 'Need for integrated operation and a control tower' was the third. Conclusion: As a result, we find the critical factors to improve Community Care. Based on them, we should conduct follow-up researches to propose concrete methods to apply to diverse regions.
We examined the community structure of fish off the coast of Jindo Island in response to a cold water appearance in the southwestern sea of Korea each August between 2013–2015. Using a gape net with wings, we collected 31 taxa during the study period, wherein the most dominant species was Engraulis japonicus. Collichthys lucidus and Neosalanx andersoni, which are mainly distributed in the western sea of Korea, increased in abundance and were dominant in August 2013, possibly due to the apparent intrusion of cold water (< 19°C) from offshore into the coastal waters of Jindo Island. Meanwhile, Scomberomorus niphonius and Sardinella zunasi, which are known as warmwater migratory species, increased in abundance and were dominant in August 2015, likely influenced by the warmer water (> 20°C) at the coast, which resulted in a noticeable lessening of the cold water in the study area. However, no significant differences were observed in fish community structure in the month of August between 2013–1015. This implies that the small-scale spatial and temporal variations in the cold water had limited effects on the fish community structure, even though the abundances of several dominant species varied in the coastal waters.

The objective of this study was to assess the reliability and validity of food security measures, which was developed based on the US household food security survey module (US HFSSM) with content validity in the Korean population. The reliability and validity were assessed by internal consistency, construct validity and criterion-related validity. The study included 446 households. Among those, 46.2% were households with children. The proportion of food insecure households was 33.3%. Among those, 35.4% and 64.6% households were food insecure with hunger and without hunger, respectively. The Cronbach's alpha coefficients were 0.84 and the infit value by the Rasch model analysis ranged from 0.68 to 1.43. The scale item response curves by food insecurity severity explained well the nature and characteristics of food security, indicating the highest proportion of "yes" for the items on diet quality, followed by those with diet quantity. The result of criterion-related validity showed that food insecurity status was significantly related in a dose-response manner with the household income level, food expenditure, subjective health state, subjects' educational level. Household food security status was also related to dietary diversity regarding protein foods, fruits and fruit juice, and milk and dairy product. These findings suggest that the food security instrument is reliable and valid and would be used to assess food security status in the Korean population.
Microalgae have been regarded as a natural resource for sustainable materials and fuels, as well as for removal of nutrients and micropollutants from wastewater, and their interaction with bacteria in wastewater is a critical factor to consider because of the microbial diversity and complexity in a variety of wastewater conditions. Despite their importance, very little is known about the ecological interactions between algae and bacteria in a wastewater environment. In this study, we characterized the wastewater bacterial community in response to the growth of a Selenastrum gracile UTEX 325 population in a real municipal wastewater environment. The Roche 454 GS-FLX Titanium pyrosequencing technique was used for indepth analysis of amplicons of 16S rRNA genes from different conditions in each reactor, with and without the algal population. The algal growth reduced the bacterial diversity and affected the bacterial community structure in the wastewater. The following in-depth analysis of the deep-sequenced amplicons showed that the algal growth selectively stimulated Sphingobacteria class members, especially the Sediminibacterium genus population, in the municipal wastewater environment.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of brain-wave biofeedback training nursing intervention (NFT) upon enhancing self-regulation response in adolescence with emotional behavior problems in school. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was conducted. The participants were assigned to the experimental group (n=24) or the control group (n=24). The experimental group additionally received NFT. The NFT was conducted 10 sessions for 30 minutes per session with the band reward and inhibit training which matched their Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG), participant's demand and chief complaint. Data were collected with QEEG and heart rate variability (HRV) in physiological response, self-efficacy in cognitive response, depression in emotional response, impulsivity and delay gratification in behavioral response of self-regulation. Results: The general characteristics and the pre-test scores of two groups were all homogeneous. The experimental group was reported to be significantly higher in QEEG homeostasis, HRV homeostasis, self-efficacy, and delay gratification than the control group. The experimental group was reported to be significantly lower in depression and impulsivity. Conclusion: The results indicate that NFT using brain cognitive neuroscience approach is effective in enhancing self-regulation response. Therefore, this nursing intervention using brain cognitive neuroscience approach can be applied as an effective self-regulation nursing intervention for adolescents with emotional behavior problems in communities for adaptive life.

In multivariate regression with a high-dimensional response Y ∈ ℝr and a relatively low-dimensional predictor X ∈ ℝp (where r ≥ 2), the statistical analysis of such data presents significant challenges due to the exponential increase in the number of parameters as the dimension of the response grows. Most existing dimension reduction techniques primarily focus on reducing the dimension of the predictors (X), not the dimension of the response variable (Y). Yoo and Cook (2008) introduced a response dimension reduction method that preserves information about the conditional mean E(Y | X). Building upon this foundational work, Yoo (2018) proposed two semi-parametric methods, principal response reduction (PRR) and principal fitted response reduction (PFRR), then expanded these methods to unstructured principal fitted response reduction (UPFRR) (Yoo, 2019). This paper reviews these four response dimension reduction methodologies mentioned above. In addition, it introduces the implementation of the mbrdr package in R. The mbrdr is a unique tool in the R community, as it is specifically designed for response dimension reduction, setting it apart from existing dimension reduction packages that focus solely on predictors.

Atmospheric and oceanic numerical models are usually initial-value and/or boundary-value problems. Change in either initial or boundary conditions leads to a variation of model solutions. Much of the predictability research has been done on the response of model behavior to an initial value perturbation. Less effort has been made on the response of model behavior to a boundary value perturbation. In this study, we use the latest version of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Community Climate Model (CCM3) to study the model uncertainty to tiny SST errors. The results show the urgency to investigate the second kind predictability problem for the climate models.
To suggest the standard of railroad noise and its measures and grasp its status 15 open sites of the Jungang. Taeback and Youngdong line in which the background noise level is very low and the railroad is at grade and 7 urban sites of the Kyungboo and Honam line were selected and the sound level which 373 trains passing through the former and 271 trains passing through the latter emitted was investigated. The community response of railroad noise was surveyed for apartment near wayside. Noise reduction of wall for apartment at the wayside was investigated. The prediction of electric train subway noise is derived for the environment impact assessment.
Building resilient community is often a complicated process to be gained by interorganizational collaboration. Since patterns of interorganizational relations among governments and sectors are constantly changing due to internal and external factors in the field of emergency management, understanding the dynamic nature of interorganizational collaboration is a critical step for improving a community’s ability to bounce back from a catastrophic event. From two theoretical perspectives, this research aims to examine the essential role of working across levels of governments and sectors in building resilient community by focusing on sources of community resiliency and a strong commitment. The empirical evidence highlights the importance of studying resilience as a way to understand the motivation and incentive for organizations to work jointly during emergency response. The study of organizational resilience also draws attention for the importance of various forms of interorganizational collaboration such as formal and informal relations. It also highlights how local organizations can utilize their relations to seek resources without necessarily jeopardizing their ability to perform their core organizational functions.
