Purpose: This study was to identify the correlation between leisure activities and smoking/drinking of middle school students. Methods: Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 298 middle school students from the $2^{nd}$ to $30^{th}$ of September, 2009. Collected data were analyzed statistically using frequency, $x^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. The study used the Adolescent Leisure Time Activities Scale (ALTAS) developed by Yin et al. (1999) for types of leisure activities and the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS) developed by Beard & Ragheb (1980). Results: First, smoking/drinking caused significant differences in 'Socialization with friends', and drinking also caused significant differences in 'Sport activities'. Second, leisure satisfaction was positively correlated with 'currently drinking' (r=.126, p<.05). Third, significant factors influencing leisure satisfaction were grades, school life satisfaction, subjective health status, average daily leisure time, participation in leisure health program, and current drinking. These variables explained 23.4% of leisure satisfaction. Conclusion: School nurses should develop and run programs, which promote healthy ways for middle school students with wrong ways such as drinking to get leisure satisfaction. Also family, school and community should be cooperatively connected with one another.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics and problems of "Reading Cheongju" campaign which started as "One Book, One City" reading promotion campaign in 2006 and conducted three times in two years. The analysis of such steps as the selection and distribution of "one book", reading and discussion. events and programs, financial assistance, public relations, etc. documents both positive and negative aspects of its performance. "Reading Cheongju" campaign helped improve both the image of the Cheongju Information Library and the importance of reading and discussion in the community, while lacking in participation from diverse groups of community members, flexibility in spending public expenses, and cooperation among libraries and other related organizations.
The purposes of the study were to identify important attributes in foodservice management and culinary arts students' career decision-making and to investigate factors determining their preferred employment fields. A questionnaire that consisted of preferred employment fields, importance rating of 19 attributes related to job choices, and demographic information was developed based on a review of literature. A total of 319 students enrolled in food and nutrition, foodservice management, and culinary arts programs of eight 2-year colleges and 4-year universities in Seoul and Kyunggi Province participated in the survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS Win (version 10.0) with descriptive statistics, chi-square analysis, one-way analysis of variance, factor analysis, and discriminant analysis. Attributes of the highest importance scores included fringe benefits, wages and promotion opportunities, working environments, professional development opportunities, and organizational culturs. The students who preferred non-commercial foodservice as a career choice depended more on 'word-of-mouth from faculty' than those who preferred other fields (F=3.094, p < .05) and rated importance of 'participation in job fairs' higher than those who selected hotel food and beverage (F : 5.048, p < .01) . A factor analysis of the 19 attributes resulted in five factors: job/compensation policy, impersonal communication, company image, word-of-mouth, and personal experience. The five factors explained $67\%$ of the total variance. A discriminant analysis revealed that students who perceived 'impersonal communication' and 'word-of-mouth' more important were likely to prefer non-commercial foodservice as a career choice. The results would be used by university faculty in advising graduating students on career selection and by recruiters in developing effective and attractive recruiting programs.
It was well received that well grounded behavioral theories were important in the development of effective nutrition education programs, but there are only a few programs available for Korean women. The objective of this study was to develop nutrition education programs for childbearing-aged women in Korea. Based on the findings of the needs assessment for the program and theoretical backgrounds, we developed behaviorally oriented tailored nutrition education program including motivation (MT), modifying (MD) and maintenance (MA) stages. The key concepts of the stages were motivation promotion for MT, increasing behavioral capabilities for MD, and strengthening self-management and building favorable environmental condition for MA. The education program was intended to be need in individual nutrition counseling, but it could be well used for group education by developing materials using the relevant contents. The primary users of the program were nutrition educators, however it could be also used by clients as needed. The introductory chapter provided dietary assessment tools and nutrition education tips. MT chapter included subjects such as nutritional status screening, costs of inappropriate nutrition and weight management, benefits of eating right, and activities for motivation promotion. MD stage chapter dealt with topics of healthy weight, knowledges and skills for better eating habits and physical activity status, and activities related to setting tailored behavioral objectives. MA stage focused on facilitating self management skills and building helping relationships. Each stage underlined activities using various educational tools in order to promote active participation of the client (s). For better use of this program, it was recommended to conduct program validation study.

Background & Objectives: Self-rated health has been widely used to evaluate health status and accepted as a subjective measurement of quality of life. This study aimed to analyze the associations between self-rated health, health promotion behaviors, and mental health factors and suggest the approaches to improve health status among university students. Methods: Two thousand six hundred seventy-seven students who had stayed at dormitories on campus participated in the DU health survey by self-reported questionnaire from April 10 to 14, 2017. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to estimate the odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals of association of self-rated health with health-related factors among male and female students. Results: 38.6% of the respondents reported good self-rated health. Male and first-year students were more likely to report good self-rated health than female and third-year students. There were significant differences in sex, grade, health problems, BMI, sleeping hours, eating breakfast, consumption of fruits and vegetables, physical activity (regular walking, strength exercise, moderate exercise, vigorous exercise), perceived stress, depression, and suicide thought (p<0.05). Conclusion: Although health promotion programs for university students are essential to support their adaptation to campus life and academic achievement, evidence-based health programs to encourage their participation are still insufficient. Therefore, it should establish a campus-based health policy and develop health promotion programs to increase self-rated health levels and prevent mental health problems for university students.

Purpose: Children in migrant villages in Kyrgyzstan have a high incidence of anemia and need effective health promotion programs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate a pilot study of a health promotion project for infants and toddlers based on community participation. Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the project. The project was carried out by nurses at a public health center, community health workers, and local residents in a migrant village. After the operational system of the project was established, health assessments, child-care education, provision of vouchers for iron supplements, and activities to improve residents' awareness were conducted during 6 months among 100 children, of whom 85 were finally analyzed. Results: In international health projects, close cooperation of the project team with community residents and health workers is important. Access to the community-based program was feasible in the socially and economically poor migrant village, and improvements were shown in children's anemia and awareness of health care. The purpose of this study is to investigate the types and processes of corporate philanthropy programs on forestry in Korea 500 largest companies. The result shows that 75 companies of Korea 500 companies (15.0%) participated in corporate philanthropy program related to forestry and there are 113 programs that those companies are proceeding. The types of 108 programs can be divided into 5 parts; 1) volunteer work, 2) creating forests & management, 3) one-time planting work, 4) forest education, 5) training experts & job creation. Among them, volunteer work (55.6%) and creating forests & management (29.6%) showed high proportion. The process of programs depends on their types. The volunteer and one-time planting work were mainly proceeded directly by corporate volunteer organization. But creating forests & management, forest education and training experts & job creation were usually proceeded in consort with local governments, NPOs and NGOs, and so on. These results show that Korean corporate philanthropy in forestry is progressing to strategic philanthropy through participation and partnership of various social groups. This shows the possibility to progress corporate community investment (CCI) with forest education and training experts & job creation.
