OFDM should be used for the fourth generation communication for high speed communication. Because of high spectral efficiency and high tolerance to fading channel, OFDM is applied to many high speed wire and wireless communication such as DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast), DVB(Digital Video Broadcast), IMT 2000 etc. Inter-modulation, however, is derived from PAR(Peak to Average Power Ratio) of OFDM signals. The paper describes PTS(Partial Transmit Sequence) and SLM(Select Mapping) of an existing methods which can reduce PAR. And then this papers proposed the new method that is called "Combine method". The method proposed in this paper is to combine PTS and SLM. As a result of the simulation, Combine PAR method is better than the existing methods.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the preconceptions Korean EFL learners have about team teaching in the field of English education at a secondary level. Team teaching is a method of teaching where a Korean English teacher works in co-junction with a native English speaker. Generally speaking, when we discuss teaching methods for a foreign language, the most important objective is to improve our communication skills. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect on communication skills when team teaching is employed, and to find ways to maximize the benefit when team teaching. The underlying issues are; firstly, what are the precedent conditions for team teaching? Secondly, what are the best teaching methods and preparations for teaching materials for improving the effectiveness of team teaching? Third, how do the programs for team teaching with native teachers assist in improving the student's communication skills? Ideally, this study will assist in overcoming the fear that foreign language learners have when communicating with real native speakers.

This paper is to study and design a generic electronics system for a meteorological buoy. It mainly covers the communication methods of a buoy with base station, data post processing and power design of a generic weather buoy system. The experiment result shows the design is capable to works well in term of data receive from buoy at base station, battery life time and able to work standalone without any power exhausted problem.

This paper proposes the methods to enhance the speech quality of source controlled variable bit-rate coder based on the waveform interpolation. The methods are to estimate and generate the parameters that are not transmitted from encoder to decoder by the repetition and extrapolation schemes. For the performance evaluation, the PESQ(Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality) scores are measured. The experimental results shows that our proposed method outperforms the conventional source controlled variable bit-rate coder. Especially, the performance of the extrapolation method is better than that of the repetition method.

In this paper, an efficient SAD(Sum of Absolute Differences) processor structure for motion estimation of 0.264 is proposed. SAD processors are commonly used both in full search methods for motion estimation or in fast search methods for motion estimation. Proposed structure consists of SAD calculator block, combinator block, and minimum value calculator block. Especially, proposed structure is simplified by using Distributed Arithmetic for addition operation. The Verilog-HDL(Hard Description Language) coding and FPGA implementation results for the proposed structure show 39% and 32% gate count reduction comparison with those of the conventional structure, respectively. Due to its efficient processing scheme, the proposed SAD processor structure can be widely used in size dominant H.264 chip.

In this paper there are different methods used to study the voltage stability, such as the P-V curve method. Jacobian method and the voltage collapse proximity indicator(L-index) method. The P-V curve method is to check operating margin from the maximum operating point. The Jacobian method is to check the eigenvalue or the minimum singular value of the load flow Jacobian matrix. If the power system is unstable, one of the eigenvalues, at least, has crossed the imaginary axis. The L-index method is to quantify how to close a particular operating point. This paper describes these methods to select the best location of FACTS and demonstrate the effectiveness of STATCOM of voltage stability on the IEEE 9-bus system.

Recently, with the development of IoT, there have been increasing cases of transmitting and receiving data by connecting more than one devices supporting various communication methods. In this paper, we propose a multi-terminal emulator supporting various communication methods. The system supports multiple channel connections for each communication method, schedules data transmission, collects communication statistics, represents them into graphs, and stores log records. By using this system, it is possible to test the communication connection between multiple devices, and it is expected to provide convenience for IoT system development.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the experience of cross-cultural communication adaptation between local and expatriate employees at PT. XX Organizational culture in the company is the most important factor to helpemployees in the company to work efficiently and effectively in order to achieve company goals. Research design, data and methodology: The analysis methods used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. From this collaboration, the cultural adaptations arouse due to the challenges for workers who have to work together with different cultural backgrounds. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection methods used is employee interviews at PT. XX with triangulation conducted on 2 expatriates and 2 local employees. Results: Studies show that successful management is highly dependent on employees adapting to local culture and work situations. This process rarely runs smoothly because the persons in intercultural interaction do not use the same language and the lack of adaptation.. Conclusions: . In order to maintain its existence, the company strives to expand its wings in the global market and establish partnerships to expand cooperation. PT. XX from South Korea cooperated with Krakatau Steel, a state-owned Indonesian company

Purpose: This study was done to explore the relationship in hospital nurses' of communication competence, communication types, and organizational commitment and to provide basic data for developing programs to improve internal communication and to promote nurses' commitment to their organizations. Methods: The participants included 316 nurses who worked in two general hospitals. The tools used for this study were the Global Interpersonal Communication Competence Scale (GICC) and Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire by Downs & Hazen (1981), revised by Seo (2002) and Mowday's tool (1979) for organizational commitment. Data were analyzed using SPSS/PC+12.0. Results: The mean score for communication competence was 3.46, and for organizational commitment, 3.19. For communication types, the mean score for formal communication was 3.18 and informal communication, 2.59. Communication competence had a positive relationship with formal communication (r=.32) and with informal communication (r=.16). Organizational commitment had a positive relationship with formal communication (r=.53), communication competence (r=.30), and informal communication (r=.27). Conclusion: The results indicate the necessity of developing programs to promote nurses' communication competence and also developing a system that will enrich active communication. Systematic and continuous training in communication is also highly recommended.
