어머니와 정년기여자와의 커뮤니케이션에 관한 연구 (Communication Between Mother and her Adolescents)

  • This study was carried out to learn about the contents of communication between mother and her adolescents in this country, and possible differences in the contents of communication with demographic variables. In particular, I wanted to find out the following; 1)contents of communication between mother and her adolescents. 2)Contents of communication between parents with adolescents. 3)Possible differences in the contents of communication with differences in the level of education, employment status, and age of mother, family income level, and sex, and birth order of children. To test these hypotheses, I distributed questionnaires to 600 mothers of selected high school juniors(11th grade) in Seoul. Four hundred and fourty-eight questionnaires were returned, and the results were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, and x2-test. The results were as following; 1) In general, mothers communicated well with their adolescents, especially in topics related to studying, friends, school, parents and family, and future career. Communication on sex-education or sex-role, however, was rather limited in contents. ool, parents and family. Communication on sex-education or sex-role of adolescent was almost never attempted. This result showed similarity with 1 above. 3) (1) contents of communication and educational level of mother; contents of communication between mother and her adolescents differed significantly with educational level on all topics except parents and family, indicating that the educational level of mother, the more diverse was contents of communication between mother and her adolescents. (2) Contents of communication and employment status of mother: On all topics except sex-education, communication between mother and her adolescents differed significantly between employed and unemployed mothers, indicating that unemployed mothers communicate on greater number of topics with their adolescents than employed mothers do. (3) contents of communication and family income level; Family income level did not affect contents of communication between mother and her adolescents significantly. (4) contents of communication and age of mother; Age of mother did not affect a contents of communication between mother and her adolescents significantly. (5) contents of communication and sex of adolescent; Thee were significant differences in contents of communication on certain topics; On virginity, sex, marriage, and dating, mother communicate more diversely with daughters than with sons. This result certainly reflects the deep-rooted traditional value system among koreans, with permissive attitude toward males, and far more strict attitude toward females, on sex-related matters. (6) Contents of communication and birth order of adolescents; The birth order of adolescents did not affect contents of communication between mother and her adolescents significantly.

무선 통신과 기회적 네트워크를 활용한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 배포 (Multimedia Contents Dissemination using Mobile Communication and Opportunistic Networks)

  • 스마트폰의 대중화는 무선 통신의 사용 패턴을 음성 중심에서 데이터 통신 중심으로 바꾸어 놓았다. 무선 데이터 통신에 대한 요구는 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며 이를 만족시키기 위한 기반 시설 확충 비용이 크게 늘어나고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기회적 네트워크와 (opportunistic networks) 무선 통신을 함께 활용하여 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 사용자들에게 배포함으로써 무선 통신의 사용량을 경감시킬 수 있는 기법을 제시한다. 이러한 기법을 사용함으로써 무선 통신 기반시설 확충에 대한 필요를 낮춤으로써 비용을 절약하는 동시에 사용자들의 데이터 통신에 대한 요구 또한 만족시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기법은 에이전트 기반 시뮬레이션을 (agent-based simulation) 통하여 검증 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 사용 환경에 따라 최대 70% 정도의 무선 통신 사용량을 기회적 네트워크를 통한 콘텐츠 배포로 대체할 수 있음을 보여 주었다.

u-Learning DCC Contents Authoring Systems based on Learning Activities

  • With the development of information communication and network technologies, ubiquitous era that supports various services regardless of places and time has been advancing. The development of such technologies has a great influence on educational environments. As a result, e-learning concepts that learners use learning contents in anywhere and anytime have been proposed. The various learning contents authoring systems that consider the e-learning environments have also been developed. However, since most of the existing authoring systems support only PC environments, they are not suitable for various ubiquitous mobile devices. In this paper, we design and implement a contents authoring system based on learning activities for u-learning environments. Our authoring system significantly improves the efficiency for authoring contents and supports various ubiquitous devices as well as PCs.

효과적 커뮤니케이션 전략에 기반한 임신부 대상의 영양교육 컨텐츠 개발 (Development of Nutrition Education Contents for Pregnant Women Based on Effective Communication Strategies)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to develop communication strategies for effective nutrition education targeting pregnant women and to create nutrition education contents. Methods: The format and the contents of online resources on nutrition information for pregnant women provided by reliable institutions were analyzed. Possible solutions to overcome barriers of nutrition education as well as communication strategies for effective nutrition education were identified by a brainstorming process. Based on the communication strategies, contents for nutrition education were created. Understandability, level of interest, applicability to daily life, harmony of text and illustration, and overall satisfaction of the contents were evaluated by dietitians and pregnant women. Results: The four communication strategies were developed; (1) to focus on a few important messages, (2) to provide evidence-based information, (3) to create illustrations or infographics with a minimum amount of text, and (4) to provide tips on how to improve the current diet options. Based on these strategies, the contents were focused on three important nutrients for pregnant women, folate, iron, and calcium. The percentages of the recommended nutrient intakes of the three nutrients on selected menu and its improved version by adding a dish or changing a dish into another dish were calculated and provided. Finally, the contents were delivered as illustrations with a minimum amount of text. Overall, dietitians and pregnant women were satisfied with the contents. Conclusions: The contents developed in this study can be used in a pamphlet or a pregnancy diary, or can be shared in social networking services. Further contents on other nutrients and various menu are expected to be developed using these communication strategies.

  • New teaching and studying methods using educational contents are gradually widespread with the advancement of information and communication technology. As educational contents, in this paper, we design and implement linguistic contents for studying essential expressions applied to various situations of real life. In detail, the linguistic contents are run on web environments, and have suitable animations for learning essential expressions based on several foreign languages in contextual dialogues. Also, useful functions are included in contents to reinforce what users have learned.

  • In a specialized modern society and/or visual communication technique seems to be preferable to the traditional one-way communication technique which resorts to reading materials. P.R materials currently produced by various levels of Korean government administrative bodies seem to outdated and inefficient both in their contents and in graphic technique employed. In this paper we argue that the problems of the communication technique used by Korean government result mainly from the ambiguous nature of the message of P.R materials and the inability to differentiate the contents of P.R materials according to the target audience. We recommend various changes to the current government communication program and emphasize the importance of graphic communication technique for the production of more effective and professional communication materials

Server-Based User-Created Contents Processing System

  • The web 2.0 is leading a rapid change of internet services. The UCC(User Created Contents) service is one of the representative internet services with web 2.0 paradigm. In this paper, we design and implement the UCC services prototype system for image and video. The proposed system does not need to install ActiveX and client programs on devices of users to edit their contents. All processes for editing UCC are conducted on the server. Our proposed system consists of the two components such as the multimedia editing subsystem and the metadata management system. They provide the API to UCC service developers or vendors. The multimedia editing subsystem supports editing for image and video, and the streaming services of video. The metadata management subsystem supports the metadata management and retrieval of image and video.

Effects of Simulation Learning Using SBAR on Clinical Judgment and Communication Skills in Undergraduate Nursing Students

  • This study aimed to determine the effects of simulation learning program using SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) techniques on undergraduate nursing students' clinical judgment and communication skills. A quasi-experimental research design (one-group pretest-posttest design) was used in this study. The participants included 88 students from a nursing college. There were statistically significant differences in clinical judgment, communication clarity, and communication confidence between pre-simulation learning using SBAR and post (t=10.32, p<.0001; t=6.05, p=<.0001; t=7.42, p=<.0001). The simulation learning program using SBAR was found to improve nursing students' clinical judgment as well as clarity and confidence in interprofessional communication.

  • Recently there are increasing needs for Internet and various kinds of contents. These traffics for various contents need more amount of data to provide high-quality information and require various QoS depending on the characteristics of contents. However, current Internet service supports BE (Best Effort) service only, therefore IntServ (Integrated Service) scheme and DiffSserv (Differentiated Service) scheme are represented to support QoS in IP layer. This paper describes new scheme that provides QoS taking into account the traffic characteristics over Mobile IPv6 network based on IEEE 802.11e by decreasing signal process time using traffic class of DiffServ and evaluates the performance through computer simulation.
