초기처짐을 갖는 좌굴방정식을 이용한 교량의 내하력 평가 (Evaluation of the Load Carrying Capacity of Existing Bridges Using Buckling Equation With Initial Deflection)

  • 본 논문은 공용중인 교량구조물의 내하력 평가시 획일적이고 실제 거동특성을 적극적으로 활용하지 않아 발생할 수 있는 내하력 평가의 오류에 대하여 연구하였다. 내하력의 평가시 지점의 경계조건과 같은 현재의 거동특성을 반영하기 위하여 초기 결함을 갖는 부재에 대한 좌굴방정식에 처짐을 적용시켜 산정된 축방향력과 처짐에 의해 구해진 모멘트를 고려하여 교량의 내하력을 평가하였다. 기존의 내하력 평가시에 다소 획일적으로 적용되어지는 응력보정 계수를 좌굴방정식을 통하여 각 주형에 대하여 선 반영함으로서 내하력 평가의 오류를 다소 제거하고자 하였다.

남북한 도로교 설계트럭하중 분석 (Study on Design Vehicle Loads of South and North Korean Highway Bridges)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to analyze different vehicle load effects for a bridge design of South and North Korea in order to prepare a common design specification and to secure the safety of transportation when the highway bridges of South and North Korea use together. METHODS: Based on the literature review, this study considers vehicle load effects by comparing different characteristics of the standard vehicle and other differences of the bridge design specification between South and North Korea. And structural modeling of three-span continuous PSC Beam Bridge are analyzed and the bridge capacity according different vehicle loads of South and North Korea is evaluated. RESULTS: The result of this study indicates that the bridge capacity and the design vehicle weight of North Korea are smaller than the bridge capacity and the design vehicle weight of South Korea. Also this study demonstrates that the design vehicle array and other characteristics of North Korea are very different than the design vehicle array and other characteristics of South Korea. CONCLUSIONS: It is expected that the outcomes of this study can be useful in the set-up of South-North Bridge Specification because similar previous studies are rarely found.

  • Our environment is faced with serious problems related to the air pollution from automobiles in these days. In particular, the exhaust emissions of diesel engine are recognized main cause which influenced environment strong. In this study, the potential possibility of biodiesel fuel was investigated as an alternative fuel for a naturally aspirated common rail diesel engine. The smoke emission of biodiesel fuel 30vol-%(max. content) was reduced in comparison with diesel fuel, that is, it was reduced approximately 60% at 4000rpm, full load. But, power, torque and brake specific energy consumption didn't have no large differences. But, NOx emission of biodiesel fuel was increased compared with commercial diesel fuel.

  • AC/AC power conversion is widely used to feed AC loads with a variable voltage and/or a variable frequency from a constant voltage constant frequency power grid or to connect critical loads to an unreliable power supply while delivering a very balanced and accurate sinusoidal voltage system of constant amplitude and frequency. The load specifications will clearly impose the requirements for the inverter stage of the power converter, while wider ranges of choices are available for the rectifier. This paper investigates the utilization of a buck-type current source rectifier as the active front-end stage of an AC/AC converter for applications that require an adjustable DC-link voltage as well as elimination of the low-frequency common mode voltage. The proposed solution is to utilize a combination of two or more zero current vectors in the Space Vector Modulation (SVM) technique for Current Sources Rectifiers (CSR).

활하중에 대한 복층터널 슬래브의 구조적 안전성에 관한 연구 (A study on the structural safety of middle slab in double deck tunnel under live loads)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 대심도 복층터널 Test Bed 구조물에 대한 슬래브의 사전 구조안전성 평가를 통해 슬래브의 가설시와 공용하중 작용시에 발생 가능한 문제점과 개선점을 미리 분석하는 것이다. 대심도 복층터널의 설계 및 시공기술개발의 성과물을 Test Bed 구축을 과정을 통해 검증하고 확인할 수 있으며, 엔지니어 및 일반인들의 학습현장으로도 활용할 수 있어 지하공간 개발의 시기를 더욱 앞당길 수 있는 계기가 마련될 것이다. 특히, 원형의 대심도 복층터널 단면 내부에 구축되는 슬래브는 시공방법과 사용하는 시공장비에 따라 설계하중이 달라지며, 이번 Test Bed 구조체는 그 내부에 상부 슬래브 및 풍도슬래브를 전용 가설장비를 이용하여 설치하는 동안 가설장비하중과 상·하부 슬래브에 공용하중으로 가정된 KL-510의 3등급 트럭하중을 하중조합별 작용위치를 달리하며 상·하부 슬래브에 각각 재하하여 그 영향을 분석하였다.

  • It is common in multistory flat-plate structures that newly cast slabs are supported by a number of previously cast floors. Then the weight of newly cast slabs is imposed on shored previously cast floors as load, and this load may be large as double as dead load. Because early-age construction loads cause large immediate deflection and creep deflection with cracks, this loads influence long-term behavior of slabs. In current provision, the minimum thickness is required to satisfy serviceability But this minimum thickness based on historical precedent is determined by span length, therefore the minimum thickness of current provision can not includes properly the effect of construction scheme including the number of shored floors and construction cycle. In the present study, a minimum thickness criterion, which includes the effect of concrete strength, geometry of slabs and construction scheme, was developed from computer-based iteration using deflection calculation procedure of current code method.

  • 토목구조물 설계에 있어서 가장 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 도로교에 대한 하중계수에 기초한 최적신뢰성해석모델을 제안하고, 또 총기대비용 최소화원칙에 기인한 최적하중-저항계수 및 최적 공칭안전율에 대한 이론적 근거를 제시하는 것이 본 연구의 주요내용이다. MFOSM과 AFOSM을 포함하는 주요 2차 모멘트신뢰성 이론을 비교분석함으로써 AFOSM의 근사식과 대수정규포근사식을 본 연구에서 제안하는 최적신뢰성 및 설계규준의 유도에 사용함이 적절하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Controller Optimization Algorithm for a 12-pulse Voltage Source Converter based HVDC System

  • The paper presents controller optimization algorithm for a 12-pulse voltage source converter (VSC) based high voltage direct current (HVDC) system. To get an optimum algorithm, three methods namely conventional-Zeigler-Nichols, linear-golden section search (GSS) and stochastic-particle swarm optimization (PSO) are applied to control of 12 pulse VSC based HVDC system and simulation results are presented to show the best among the three. The performance results are obtained under various dynamic conditions such as load perturbation, non-linear load condition, and voltage sag, tapped load fault at points-of-common coupling (PCC) and single-line-to ground (SLG) fault at input AC mains. The conventional GSS and PSO algorithm are modified to enhance their performances under dynamic conditions. The results of this study show that modified particle swarm optimization provides the best results in terms of quick response to the dynamic conditions as compared to other optimization methods.

  • The transcoding is a method which converts a multimedia stream to an adaptive format, such as frame rate and resolution, that can be played in the mobile devices. Due to the heavy consumption of CPU power for transcoding, the server in charge cannot supply all streams requested from clients if it is already occupied by several streams. The load balancing among proxies is a common approach for solving such problem. In addition to collaborative works for load balancing, the mobility must be taken into account in the mobile environments. Thus, the wired-network based algorithm is not suitable for the streams service in the mobile environments. In this paper, we propose an alternative scheme for cooperative proxy architecture that considers the case in which mobile devices are moving over other zones.

  • An efficient solution algorithm of the optimal load distribution problem with joint torque constraints is presented. Multiple robot system where each robot is rigidly grasping a common object is considered. The optimality criteria used is the sum of weighted norm of the joint torque vectors. The maximum and minimum bounds of each joint torque in arbitrary form are considered as constraints, and the solution that reduces the internal force to zero is obtained. The optimal load distribution problem is formulated as a quadratic optimization problem in R, where I is the number of robots. The general solution can be obtained using any efficient numerial method for quadratic programming, and for dual robot case, the optimal solution is given in a simple analytical form.
