  • Purpose: By analyzing what kind of organizational reaction is shown by employees to corporate social responsibility (CSR), I want to propose a plan to maximize achievement(organizational commitment and productive behavior) within corporation. Methods: Regression analysis is used to analyze relationship between CSR awareness and achievement within corporation. Then structural equation model is used to check control effect of corporate member's participation in CSR. Results: It is proved that employee's CSR awareness has positive relationship with organizational commitment and productive behavior. It is shown that when employees have participated in CSR programs directly, effectiveness of relationship was especially higher for Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and innovative behavior. Conclusion: In order to increase organizational commitment and productive behavior of employees, corporation's social responsibility management, in other words ethical management must be used so their motivation can be increased and so they can directly participate in CSR programs which will increase effectiveness of organization.

Influences of Individual and Organizational Personality on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Nurses in Small-Medium Sized Hospitals (중소병원 간호사의 개인성격특성, 조직성격특성이 직무만족, 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify how personality characteristics of individuals and organizations influence nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment in small-medium sized hospitals. Methods: Subjects were 186 nurses with more than one year working experience. They currently worked in four small-medium sized hospitals specialized in spinal surgery. Data were collected from June 13 to July 12, 2016 using self-recorded questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results: Among individual personality characteristics, extroversion significantly affected job satisfaction; on the other hand, extroversion and openness affected organizational commitment. In the meantime, organizational characteristics did not present statistical effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Conclusion: Based on these results, we found that extroversion and openness had statistically significant influences on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment in small-medium sized hospitals. Therefore, when hospitals recruit nurses, we recommend considering their personality traits in order to increase compliance with duties and organizational characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the dynamic relationships among locus of control as a individual traits, the three organizational equity factors(distributive equity, procedural equity and interactional equity), individual attitudes and behaviors(job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention). In this study, we designed research model based on extensive literature review and tested each hypothesis through empirical analysis of which single public organization was the subject. The results are as follows : locus of control negatively affect all the three equity factors. And distributive equity positively affect job satisfaction whereas both procedural equity and interactional equity positively affect organizational commitment. Also only organizational commitment not job satisfaction positively affect turnover intention. The various implications to manage organizational equity, job satisfaction and organizational commitment and the limitations of the study and directions for future research were discussed.

  • Until now, many leadership styles have focused only on behavioral characteristics or skills. However, genuine leadership focuses on the essence of leadership. This study intends to analyze the effects of genuine leadership, the main body leading the corporate organization, on the organization's influence in order to achieve the organizational mission. In order to examine the relationship between genuine leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment after deriving a research model as a method of research, we conducted a regression analysis after frequency analysis, validity, and reliability analysis to examine the effect of genuine leadership on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. looked at the As a result of the analysis, it was found that leadership had a positive effect on organizational commitment and job satisfaction.

The Effect of Radiological Technologist Job Satisfaction and Job Stress on Organizational Commitment - Focused on the Busan Area - (방사선사의 조직문화 및 리더십, 조직몰입이 조직만족에 미치는 영향 -부산지역을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey and analyze the effects of job satisfaction and job stress on organizational commitment among radiological technologist working in primary, secondary and tertiary hospitals in Busan. As a result, the scores of job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness of the tertiary hospital were significantly higher (p<0.05). In the group with no turnover experience, the organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness scores were significantly higher (p<0.05, p<0.01). Job stress was not statistically significant between variables in the analysis of general characteristics. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that the radiological technologist organizational commitment had the highest impact on job satisfaction (β=0.703, p<0.001). Radiological technologist are important in the diagnosis and radiation therapy of diseases in hospital. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it will be helpful to analyze the relationship between job satisfaction, job stress and organizational commitment of radiological technologist, and to prepare a plan to increase their organizational commitment.

  • The ultimate goal of human resource management is to improve the organization's performance. This study explored how human resource management practices such as recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, and performance appraisal affect the organizational commitment of Korean hotel restaurants. The results of this study shows that recruitment and selection, training and development have influence on affective organizational commitment, while compensation and benefits, and performance appraisal have impact on continuance organizational commitment. These findings have significant implications in presenting a new directions for human resource management in the operation of hotel restaurant business.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among negative emotion, emotion suppression, job satisfaction and organizational commitment in Hospital Nurses. Method: The participants were 155 registered nurses working in 1 hospital in Seoul. Data were obtained by self-report questionnaires. Data were collected from October 1 through October 9, 2010. Data were analyzed using frequency and percentage, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe's test and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The influencing factors for organizational commitment of hospital nurses were job satisfaction, position, total clinical career, and negative emotion. These variables explained 56.6% of the variance of the organizational commitment. Conclusion: These results indicate that improving job satisfaction is the best way to enhance nurses' organizational commitment and thus, a need to improve the job satisfaction of hospital nurses.

A Meta-Analysis on the Correlation between Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention and Organizational Commitment among Nurses

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention and organizational commitment in nurses through a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. For the study purpose, 26 studies were selected through a systematic process of using several databases and used to estimate the effect size of correlation between 3 variables. Meta-analysis was applied by usingcrandom effects model, and effect sizes on three types were calculated. Results are as follows. First, the effect size of correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention is -.58. Second, the effect size of correlation between job satisfaction and organizational commitment is .77. Third, for the organizational commitment and turnover intention relationship, the effect of correlation is -0.68. Furthermore, publication bias analysis were assessed the results by using the funnel plot, Egger's regression test, fail-safe N, and trim-and-fill test. Based on these results, implications for the study were discussed.

  • This study focused on analyzing the relations of empowerment recognized by a five star hotel culinary team in job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and outcome. The purpose of this survey is to show a desirable culinary organization in hotel management. This survey was shared by two groups recognized as high empowerment and low empowerment groups, for job satisfaction, success, organizational commitment, and outcome measurements. This study presented the difference between recognizable high empowerment and the effects of low empowerment groups which showed positive effects on the high empowerment group compared with the low empowerment group. This means that positive effects on the three main factors of job satisfaction, success, organizational commitment, outcome measurements, and hotel culinary organizations are required empowerment for the new organization of management.

  • Recently, the airline industry has grown tremendously, and competition among airlines has intensified. Therefore, the importance of airline's service quality has been greatly emphasized. The human service provided by the airline is the biggest service the customer feels, so the customer orientation of the flight attendant is very important. The aim of this study was to identify the mediating effects of organizational commitment on the relationship among transformational leadership and customer orientation. As a results of the study, transformational leadership had positive significant effects on organizational commitment and job customer orientation. The results of this study imply that the organizational commitment play significant mediating role between transformational leadership and customer orientation.
