Guidance Law to Control Impact-Time-And-Angle Using Time-Varying Gains (시변 이득을 이용한 비행시간 및 충돌각 제어 유도법칙)

  • This paper presents a new homing guidance law based on well-known BPN to achieve an impact time constraint as well as an impact angle constraint. The guidance commands are synthesized by introducing an additional command to control impact-time. The structure of the additional command has a BPN-based loop multiplied by time-varying gains being proportional to the time difference between the required time-to-go and the estimated time-to-go by BPN. Moreover, the proposed homing loop converges to BPN as the time-to-go error is reduced. The performance of the proposed guidance law is evaluated by the computer simulations.

  • Advanced Real-Time Satellite Simulator(ARTSS) has been developed to support the telemetry, tracking and command operations of the ETRI satellite control system and to provide satellite engineers a more powerful and informative satellite simulations tool on the desktop. To provide extensive simulation functions for a communication satellite system in the pre-operational and operational missions, ARTSS uses a geosynchronous orbit(GEO) satellite model consisting of the attitude and orbit control subsystem, the power subsystem, the thermal subsystem, the telemetry, command and ranging subsystem, and the communications payload subsystem. In this paper, the system features and functions are presented and the satellite subsystem models are explained in detail.

  • This paper presents a control method of a mecanum wheel-based omni-directional electric board using driver weight shift. Instead of a steering device such as a joystick or a remote controller, 3 degree-of-freedom driving command for translational and rotational motion of the omni-directional electric board is generated from position of center of gravity measured from weight distribution. The weight shifting motion is not only a driving command but also an intuitive motion to overcome inertial forces. The overall control structure is presented with experimental results to prove validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper describers a look ahead algorithm of PC-NC(personal computer numerical control). The algorithm is based on acceleration/deceleration before interpolation which doesn\`t include a command error and determines a feedrate value at the end point of each block(or start point of each block). The algorithm is represented as following; 1) calculating two maximum arrival feedrates(F$_1$,F$_2$) by an acceleration value, a command feedrate, and the distance of a NC block, 2) getting a tangent feedrate (F$_3$) of the adjacent blocks, 3) choosing a minimum value among these three feedrates, and 4) setting the value to a feedrate of a start point of the next block(or a end point of the previous block). The proposed look ahead algorithm was implemented and tested by using a commercial TROS(real time operation system) on the MS-Windows NT 4.0 in a PC platform. For interfacing to a machine, a counter board, a DAC board and a DIO board were used. The result of the algorithm increased a machining precision and a machining speed in many short blocks.

  • PID controllers, which have been widely used in industry, have a simple structure and robustness to modeling error. But it is difficult to have uniformly good control performance in system parameters variation or different velocity command. In this paper, we propose an adaptive PID controller based on a gradient descent learning. This algorithm has a simple structure like conventional PID controller and robustness to system parameters variation. To verify performances of the proposed adaptive PID controller, the speed control of nonlinear DC motor is performed. The simulation results show that the proposed control systems are effective in tracking a command velocity under system parameters variation.

This algorithm has a simple structure and robustness to system parameters variation.   • To support multimedia services between network domains with different environments, it is required to map the functionalities in many aspects. In this paper, we implemented interworking gateway which provides protocol conversion and QoS(Quality of Service) adaptation to interwork DAVIC services based on ATM(Asynchronous TRansfer Model )network and Internet AV services. The interworking gateway converts RTSP(Real-Time Streaming Protocol ) message into DSM-CC(Digital Storage Media Command & Control) messages to control the stream that is served in ATM network, and transmits data stream by using RTP(Real-Time Transport Protocol) The interworking gateway provides QoS adaptation functionalities by QoS monitoring and MPEG filtering to meet the variation of network bandwidth.

  • This paper proposes a mobile robot platform for education that can experiment with various autonomous driving algorithms such as obstacle avoidance and path planning. The platform consists of a robot module and a remote controller module, both of which are based on the Arduino Nano 33 IoT embedded board. The robot module is designed as a differential drive type using two encoder motors, and the speed of the motor is controlled using PID control. In the case of the remote controller module, a command to control the robot platform is received with a 2-axis joystick input, and an elliptical grid mapping technique is used to convert the joystick input into a linear and angular velocity command of the robot. WiFi and Zigbee are used for communication between the robot module and the remote controller module. The proposed robot platform was tested by measuring and comparing the linear velocity and angular velocity of the actual robot according to the linear velocity and angular velocity commands of the robot generated by the input of the joystick.

Stability evaluation of a proportional valve controller for forward-reverse power shuttle control of agricultural tractors

  • Due to the characteristics of the farmland in Korea, forward and reverse shift is the most used. The fatigue of farmers is caused by forward and reverse shifting with a manual transmission. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the convenience of forward and backward shifting. This study was a basic study on the development of a current control system for forward and reverse shifting of agricultural tractors using proportional control valves and a controller. A test bench was fabricated to evaluate the current control accuracy of the control system, and the stability of the controller was evaluated through CPU (central processing unit) load measurements. A controller was selected to evaluate the stability of the proportional valve controller. The stability evaluation was performed by comparing and analyzing the command current of the controller and the actual current measured. The command current was measured using a CAN (controller area network) communication device and DAQ (data acquisition). The actual current was measured with a current probe and an oscilloscope. The control system and stability evaluation was performed by measuring the CPU load on the controller during control operations. The average load factor was 12.27%, and when 5 tasks were applied, it was shown to be 70.65%. This figure was lower than the CPU limit of 74.34%, when 5 tasks were applied and was judged to be a stable system.
