모자유형과 헤어스타일 및 길이변화에 따른 모자착용자의 인상평가 (The Impression Evaluation of the Hat's Wearer According to Types of Hat design, Hair-style and Hair-length)

  • The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of hair-style(straight and wave), hair-length(short, medium and iong), and type of hat design(no-hat, beret, cloche, bowler and capeline) on the impressions of hat's wearer . The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimulus and response scales(7-point scale semantic). Thirty stimuli color pictures of various combination of hair length, hair style, and type of hat design were manipulated by computer drawing. The subjects were 360 undergraduate students in Seoul, Kyunggi and Kyungnam. The result of this study can be summarized as follows; Impression factor of the stimulus consisted of the 5 different dimensions (attractiveness, gracefulness, brightness, visibilty, cuteness). Each impression of type of hat design, along with hair-style, hair-length had significant effects on gracefulness, visibilty and cuteness. Each impression of hair-style, hair-length, along with type of hat design had significant effects on gracefulness, brightness, visibilty and cuteness. Thus type of hat design, hair-style and hair-length have a significant influence on the impression evaluation of hat's wearer.

동백꽃을 모티브로 한 패션문화상품 디자인 콘텐츠 연구 (A Study on the Design Contents of Fashion Cultural Products with a Camellia Flower Motif)

  • This study selects camellia flowers as a material for design development and created patterns by simplifying the image of camellia flowers and combining it with a geometrical motif. It it applied them to various fields to develop design content for fashion cultural products that were Korean, modern, and competitive. For this purpose, this paper used Adobe Illustrator CS2 to turn the camellia flower into a motif and develop it into a pattern. Based on the realistic form of camellia flower, this paper set 3 basic motifs of new formative images, using graphic elements, such as omission of a form, simplification, overlapping, repetition, and reduction, and it also developed two transformed motifs by applying a different color to each motif. This paper repetitively arranged each motif in the background of a diamond shape, a square, and a circle, and it combined each motif with the patterns of marcel, stairs, and stripes, through which it expressed the combination of the geometrical patterns and the flower patterns. Through the application of repetitive and combined patterns of each motif, the enlargement and reduction of motifs, the repetition of motifs, the combined use of motifs, and the change in colors and layout, this paper used the motifs of various fashion cultural products, such as scarves, neckties, and T-shirts.

  • In order to establish the chemical standards for the quality control of ginsentgextract, an approach for the assay of sapogenin contents in the part of main roots and fibrous side roots was performed by combination of preparative thin layer chromotographic procedure and vanillin-$H_{2}SO_{4}$ color reaction. The contents of dammarane aglycones as funcction of dammarane glycosides in 80%-EtOH extracts were analyzed by the method from the main roots and fibrous side roots of Korean ginseng grown for 4-6 years. The differences by their grown ages in the contents of dammarane glycosides, in the ratio of panaxadiol to panaxatriol contents, and in the mounts of 80% EtOH extract were not significant in the parts of main roots and fibrous side roots of Korean gingeng. Differences due to the part for medicinal uses were highly significant in all parameters mentioned, showing following results ; in the main roots ; 80% EtOH extract, 12.7-15.7 % : the ratio of aglycone composition, 0.955-1.012 : dammarane glycoside (as diglucoside bases), 1.537-1.863 ; in fibrous isde roots ; 80% EtOH extract, 26.0-26.02% : dammarane glycoside, 4.767-5.641 : the ratio, 1.456-1.50.

Polymer semiconductor based transistors for flexible display

  • Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) with printable semiconductors are promising candidate devices for flexible active-matrix (AM) display applications. Yet, stable operation of actual display panels driven by OTFTs has seldom been reported up to date. Here, we demonstrate a flexible reflective type polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) display, in which inkjet-printed OTFT arrays are used as driving elements with excellent areal uniformity in terms of device performance. As the active semiconductor, a novel, ambient processable conjugated copolymer was synthesized. The stability of the devices with respect to electrical bias stress was improved by applying a channel-passivation layer, which suppresses the environmental effects and hence reduces the density of trap states at the channel/dielectric interface. The combination of high performance and high stability OTFT devices enabled the successful realization of stable operating flexible color-displays by inkjet-printing.

야외학습을 위한 화순 너릿재 옛길의 식물상과 생활형에 관한 연구 (A Study for Field Trips on the Vegetation Types and Plant Growth Habits at the Old Road Naori's Hill Hwasun)

  • Field classes are necessary to grow the ability of and an attitude toward exploring nature and to shape the basic concept of natural science. I tried to develop a site for field classes and the old road Naori's hill is an ideal place with convenient traffic and established youth camps. As a result the vegetation was divided into five associations and communities. The vegetation units obtained in the present study were as follow: Quercus acutissima community, Pinus densiflora community, Pinus densiflora-Quercus acutissima community, Quercus acutissima-Pinus densiflora community, and Quercus mongolica community. In all survey areas 100 family 336 genus 587 species of palants was found. Furthermore, it provides lots of plants throughout the seasons. Not only the flora but also flowering phenology, variety of floral color and growth habits can be used as teaching items. Incorporation of diverse knowledge of plants at the old road Naori's hill into biology teaching will give students academic stimuli and teachers an opportunity of retraining. With a combination of use of visual instruments, the purpose of conceptual and exploring biology is more easily achieved.

  • 노령 인구가 늘어가는 나라일수록 다가오는 u-health 사회를 준비하는 것은 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. U-health 기술은 장소와 시간에 구애받지 않고 노인들의 건강을 관리하는 일을 도울 수 있는데, 그 이유는 유비쿼터스 기술은 그 핵심 개념을 건강 관리 문제와 결합할 수 있기 때문이다. 이 연구에서는 u-health 시대에 대비하여 인체 체액에 대한 자동화된 진단 시스템을 구성할 수 있는 설계 방법을 제안한다. 구체적으로 이 시스템은 임베디드 시스템, 빛 발생 시스템, 광 감지 시스템으로 이루어지는데, 화학적 시료 패드에 조사되는 빛으로부터 분산되는 빛을 분석하며 구체적 질병에 따라 미리 정의된 색상 값에 의하여 다양한 질병을 진단하는 기능을 한다. 제안된 시스템은 실제 하드웨어로 구현되었으며 95%의 신뢰성으로 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 성능을 보인다.

  • 한국의 전통 단청의 천연석채 및 기법을 바탕으로 화려함과 장엄(莊嚴)함에서 오는 이미지를 연구자의 주관적인 해석에 의해 장신구 제작에 있어서 보석으로 활용 표현하고자 한다. 본 논문의 연구 목적은 한국 전통 단청에 사용되는 천연석채 안료와 단청이미지를 활용하여 다양한 색상표현의 가능성, 견고함과 광택이 있는 합성수지를 조합하여 보석 디자인으로 사용 가능성이 있음을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구를 통해 단청이미지를 보석디자인에 이입하여 라이프 스타일을 추구하는 현대인의 생활 속에서 접근 할 수 있는 가능성을 제시함과 동시에 과거의 전통적인 재료와 현대의 재료와 디지털 제작방법으로 접근하여 장신구에 활용 될 보석디자인의 폭 넓은 변화를 모색하고자 한다.

DEEP-South: Taxonomic Classification of Asteroids Based on Johnson-Cousins Photometric System

  • Surface mineralogy of asteroids are inferred from photometric and spectroscopic observations with the wide range of wavelengths spanning from far-ultraviolet to mid-infrared. We classify mineralogy of those objects based on their spectral absorption features and spectral slopes. Based on overall spectral shapes, mineralogical classes are divided into three broad complexes; silicates (S), carbonaceous (C) and Vestoids (V), and the end-members that do not fit within the S, C and V broad-complexes. Each of them is subdivided into individual classes. Spectral classification of asteroidal objects has been simply represented by a combination of photometric colors. For a decade, photometric data of asteroids have been grouped and classified according to their SDSS colors converted from the spectral taxonomy. However, systematic studies for asteroid taxonomy based on Johnson-Cousins filters is few, and were conducted only with a small number of objects. In this paper, we present our preliminary results for taxonomic classification of Main Belt asteroids based on KMTNet Johnson-Cousins photometric color system.

Thierry Mugler의 의상에 나타난 조형미 분석 (An analysis on the Formative Aesthetic of Thierry Mugler' Clothing)

  • This study analyzed the works, introduced in the collections of Thierry Mugler in an aim to identify formative aesthetic and design concepts. As the data to study the creative concepts and expressions of the designer, fashion photographs were gathered in a focus on collections. The formative aesthetic expressed in the works of Thierry Mugler were characterized by the eroticism and the futurism. The formative aesthetic of eroticism were specified into the sexualism, primitivism and fetishism, and those of futurism were divided into the cosmocorps and the grotesque. The eroticism was based on the design concept on the body of woman. The sexuality was expressed through the design concept of opposing, extreme and conversion method. The primitivism was presented through the design concept of extreme method to express a returning to nature and a nostalgia and an adoration for the past. The pieces, expressed the fetishism, was presented through opposing concepts, such as a bondage and an extreme expose. It was indicated that the design concept of futurism was based on the future. The cosmocorps was expressed through the extreme method by using geometrical formative aesthetic and contrast color combination. The grotesque represented the mysterious and abhorrent futurism through the design concept of depaysment conversion and analogy.

특허정보 분석을 통한 국내 의류 디자인 개발 동향 (Development Trends of Domestic Apparel Design by Analyzing Patent Applications)

  • To study the development trends of domestic apparel design, we analyzed patent applications that were applied to the field of apparel design. It was presumed that economic and social environment have affected directly on the number of apparel design applications. Since year 2000, the whole number of apparel design applications has shown a remarkably increasing tendency, but depending on the items, the trends of patent applications have different tendency. While the number of applications regarding western costume such as a jacket, pants, suit and coat has been increasing from mid 2000s, the number of applications regarding Hanbok and undergarments have been decreasing from mid 2000s. In early 2000s, there were a lot of applications relating to design creation due to combination of color and form in apparel design. However, from mid 2000s, variety of techniques such as granting functional characteristics, asymmetry construction, introduction of various textiles, techniques of draping were being applied in design creation.
