시각장애인을 고려한 도시색채계획에 관한 연구 - 색각장애인 대상으로 - (A Study on City Color Planning considering Visual Impairments - Considering the color blind -)

  • The people shares the street with various activities. The colour-blind also shares this public space of the city. But, the colour-blind is difficult to feel and act as the normal people, because of their limited visual ability. The purpose of this research is to suggest the color matching codes of the city for the colour-blind adopting the NCS color system. This research analyzes the result of the simulation with color programs. This paper discusses ways of improving city color planning towards the public environment for all people, especially the colour-blind.

사회 공학적 공격에 대응하는 색 기반 스마트폰 가상 키보드 (Virtual Keyboard against Social Engineering Attacks in Smartphones)

  • Nowaday, financial institutions provide secure mobile keyboard solutions to keep their mobile banking services safe. However, these are still vulnerable to attacks, such as shoulder surfing attack. Especially, in the case of handicapped person such as visual impairment and blindness, they are more vulnerable than ordinary person because of inconvenience of secure information input. Among them, we focused on the color blind. For the color blind, 4-color based secure keyboard method causes more inconvenience to notify exact color. Thus, we propose a secure mobile keyboard solution to provide advanced functionality for the color blind users. Our method is based on 4-color theorem to support color blind users. In addition, our scheme is robust against shoulder surfing attack. According to the evaluation result, our method offers increased security against shoulder surfing attack compare with existing methods.

시각장애인 점자블록의 휘도대비 기준에 대한 연구 (A Study on Luminance Contrast Criteria for Tactile Walking Surface Indicators)

  • Purpose: There are the number of color tactile walking surface indicators installed in Korea, because of indefinite regulation in blind and vision-impaired persons' tactile walking surface indicators. In case of yellow tactile walking surface indicators, it shows a deviation severe color. In this study, the researchers suggested color and brightness reference for helping blind and vision-impaired persons' walking through analyzing the color references of tactile walking surface indicators and the color luminance between tactile walking surface indicators and sidewalk currently used. Method: Reasonable luminance contrast criteria is suggested by examining ways of improving the recognition and recognition of objects according to color contrast visually impaired through literature review and analyzing standards of tactile walking surface indicators and the Europe, Japan and Australia of color and luminance contrast criteria. And by examining the color of the tactile walking surface indicators reported in Korea currently used to derive the problem presented by the luminance contrast in the reference and comparison. Finally, the visually impaired tactile walking surface indicators is set for color selection criteria for the recognition rate improves. Results: In order to improve the recognition rate to be tactile walking surface indicators of the contrast of the visually impaired and the environment than the color of the tactile walking surface indicators itself to secure always a certain level or more of brightness contrast values in the set of the color of the tactile walking surface indicators so important. Implication: In order to set the blind tactile walking surface indicators color recognition based on the verification of the real pedestrian based on the results presented in this paper it is required. It is to be understood as an element of the barrier free configuration for securing the walking pedestrian safety.

색맹인 사람들을 도울 수 있는 스마트 폰 기반 색상 매칭 애플리케이션 (Color matching application which can help color blind people based on smart phone)

  • 본 논문에서는 색맹인 사람들을 위한 스마트 폰 기반 색상 매칭 기법을 제안한다. 색맹인 사람들을 위해 기존 연구로 모바일 기반 애플리케이션들이 제공되기는 하였으나, 대부분의 연구가 사진 촬영 후 색상의 값, 이름만 제공할 뿐 동일 색상을 실시간으로 비교하지 못하는 불편함이 있다. 이러한 불편함을 해소하기 위해 우리는 스마트 폰의 카메라로 색상 비교를 위해 사진을 촬영하여 화면 옆에 두고, 실시간 입력되는 카메라 영상을 비교하여 유사 색상을 알려줌으로써 실시간 비교가 가능한 색상 매칭 알고리즘과 이를 이용한 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 색상 매칭 알고리즘은 실시간 비교를 위해 Red, Green, Blue 그리고 Hue 값을 이용하여 코사인 유사도를 계산하며, 유사도 값에 따라 매칭 결과를 실시간으로 알려준다. 제안 방법의 성능을 판단하기 위해 색상 매칭 실험을 하였으며, 그 결과 매칭 성공률은 약 98%를 나타냈다. 따라서 제안 방법은 색맹인 사용자가 스마트 폰을 이용하여 자신이 원하는 색을 찾는데 효과적인 기법이 될 것이다.

강도다리(Platichthys stellatus) 흑화 발현에 미치는 수조색깔 및 자갈기질의 영향 (Influence of Background Color and Substratum on the Blind-side Hypermelanosis in Starry Flounder Plathchthys stellatus)

  • To study the influence of background color and substratum on hypermelanosis of starry flounder, we compared the daily food intake (DFI), the feed efficiency (FE), the survival, the growth, the ratio of pigmented area on the blind side and the ratio of hypermelanic fish duplicately reared for 180 days in dark-green FRP aquarium (control), white FRP aquarium together with dark-green substratum. The ratio of pigmented area on the blind side was significantly higher at the dark-green group than at the white group. DFI, FE and growth were higher in the dark-green substratum. Pigmented area rate and ratio of hypermelanic fish were significantly higher at the dark green group than at the high dark-green substratum. The results suggest that bright tank color and substratum bottom could inhibit the hypermelanosis.

전자문서용 색각 장애 보정 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Assistive Software for color blind to Electronic Documents)

  • 본 연구는 컴퓨터에서 칼라 전자문서를 사용할 때 나타나는 색맹 및 색약 장애자의 혼란을 경감시키기 위하여 컴퓨터 디스플레이에 적용되는 보조 기술에 관한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 보조 기술을 마이크로소프트의 윈도우즈를 256색 모드로 사용할 때로 제한하였으며, 여러 개의 창을 열었을 때 나타나는 색의 왜곡을 줄이는 방식을 사용하였다. 색맹 및 색약 장애자용 팔레트는 christine이 표준으로 제안한 웹에서 안전한 216색상의 팔레트론 기준으로 모든 전자 문서에 적용한 수 있도록 256색 팔레트로 확장하여 구현하였다. 구현된 색각 보정 소프트웨어를 적록색맹 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 시험한 결과 색각 보정 효과가 있음이 검증되었다. 구현된 색각 보정 S/W는 전자문서의 설계과정에서 사용하면 좀 더 큰 색각 보정 효과를 거둘 수 있다.

Research on blind box packaging design based on consumer psychology

  • A blind box is a kind of sales method in that you can only get the product information by opening the package. In 2019, blind box products began to grow rapidly in the Chinese market, and gradually formed a special "blind box economy". The particularity of blind box products is that driven by consumers' curiosity, consumers' purchasing behavior can be directly induced by the visual and tactile perception of commodity packaging. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the psychological needs of consumers and master the blind box packaging design elements under the influence of consumer psychology. This paper takes figurine blind box packaging elements as the research scope and Chinese blind box consumers as the research object. Through market research and literature study, We are designed to conduct a questionnaire survey and SPSS empirical study to find out the differences in the preferences of different consumer temperament types for blind box packaging, taking the characteristics of blind box products and consumer psychology as the relevant theoretical background. The research results show that among the blind box consumers, choleric type consumers predominate, the color of the blind box packaging presents red, orange, and yellow preference, and the material presents metal, and plastic preference. The shape of the blind box shows a preference for special shape.

The Functional Relevance of Prepro-melanin Concentrating Hormone (pMCH) to Skin Color Change, Blind-side Malpigmentation and Feeding of Oliver Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus

  • To assess the functional structure of prepro-melanin-concentrating hormone (pMCH), we isolated and cloned pMCH (of-pMCH) mRNA from the brain of the olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, and compared its amino acid sequence with those from other animals. In addition, to examine whether activation of the brain of-pMCH gene is influenced by background color, density, and feeding, we compared pMCH mRNA activities against different background colors (bright and dark) and at different densities (100% PCA and 200% PCA). To examine whether the pMCH gene is related with malpigmentation of blind-side skin and appetite, we compared pMCH gene expression between ordinary and hypermelanic flounders, and between feeding and fasting flounders. The of-pMCH cDNA was 405 bp in the open reading frame [ORF] and encoded a protein of 135 amino acids; MCH was 51 bp in length and encoded a protein of 17 amino acids. An obvious single band of the expected size was obtained from the brain and pituitary by RT-PCR. In addition, of-pMCH gene activity was significantly higher in the bright background only at low density (< 100% PCA) making the ocular skin of fish whitening, and in ordinary fish. However, the gene activity was significantly decreased in dark background, at high density (>200% PCA), and in hypermelano fish. These results suggest that skin whitening camouflage of the flounder is induced by high MCH gene activity, and the density disturbs the function of background color in the physiological color change. Moreover, our data suggest that a low level of MCH gene activity may be related to malpigmentation of the blind-side skin. In feeding, although pMCH gene activity was significantly increased by feeding in the white background, the pMCH gene activity in the dark background was not influenced by feeding, indicating that the MCH gene activity increased by feeding can be offset by dark background color, or is unaffected by appetite. In conclusion, this study showed that MCH gene expression is related to ocular-skin whitening camouflage and blind-skin hypermelanosis, and is influenced by background color and density.

시각장애인을 위한 컬러 인식 점자 시스템 개발 연구 (A study on developing color braille system for the blind)

  • 이 컬러 인식 점자 시스템은 시각장애인의 대부분인 후천적 시각장애인들의 색인지를 돕기 위한 시스템으로 이는 후천적 시각장애인들의 대다수가 시력을 잃기 전 색을 인지하고 있었다는 점에 착안한 것이다. 이 시스템은 전 세계적 약속체계이고 색체계 중 가장 범용되는 먼셀 색체계를 기반으로 간단한 인지체계와 조형원리를 활용하여 색을 정확히 인지할 수 있다는 특징이 있으며 단순히 색상만 인지할 수 있는 것이 아닌 채도, 명도까지 확인이 가능, 총합 153가지의 색상을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 기존 점자 사용과의 이질감을 최소화하기 위해 점자의 위치와 돌출 정도만 변화를 준 단순한 디자인으로 실생활에 쉽게 사용이 가능하며 다양한 분야에 적용될 수 있으리라 사료된다. 이 시각장애인을 위한 컬러 인식 점자 시스템이 다양한 분야에 적용되어 시각장애인들이 색인지를 통해 사회와 소통, 일반인과 동등한 입장에서 문화생활을 누리게 되길 기대한다.
