  • The commercial viability of heat exchanger is mainly dependent on their long-term fouling characteristics because the fouling increases the pressure loss and degrades the thermal Performance of a heat exchanger. An experimental study was performed to investigate the characteristics of fluid flow and heat transfer in a fluidized bed heat exchanger with circulating various solid particles. The Present work showed that the flow velocity range for Possible collision between the tube wall and the particles was higher with heavier density solid particles. in audition. the solid particle periodically hitting the tube wall broke the thermal boundary laver. and increased the rate of heat transfer.

1차원 해석방법을 이용한 화차의 충돌가속도 분석 (A study on Analysis of Impact Deceleration Characteristics of Railway Freight Car)

  • 본 연구에서는 1차원 충돌해석 방법을 이용하여 기존 철도차량 화물차량의 충돌 가속도 분석을 통해 기존 차량의 문제점을 확인하고, 충돌 안전성 향상 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 화물 철도차량의 국내 충돌사고 사례 및 유럽 및 북미 규격 분석을 통해 입환충격 상황과 충돌사고 상황 시나리오를 선정하였다. 차량의 질량과 연결기의 하중-변위 특성을 고려하여 화차용 1차원 충돌해석 모델을 개발하였으며, 상용 유한요소 해석솔버인 LS-DYNA를 이용한 1차원 충돌 해석을 수행하였다. 해석 결과 충돌속도 10km/h 이내의 입환충격 상황에서 화차의 가속도 레벨은 EN 12663 규격에서 제시하는 2g 이하로 안정된 수준으로 예측되었지만, 충돌속도 15~30 km/h 사이의 충돌사고 상황에서는 연결기의 완충용량 부족으로 차체의 변형 및 가속도 레벨의 증가가 예측되어 차체 구조 및 적재 화물의 안전에 취약한 구조임을 확인하였다. 충돌안전성 향상 방안으로 화차에 재료의 소성변형을 이용한 비가역적 충돌에너지 흡수장치를 적용하여 동일 시나리오로 충돌해석을 수행하였고, 기존 차량 대비 최대 12% 수준으로 가속도 레벨이 감소된 것을 확인하였다.

Improving Collision Energy Absorption In High Speed Train By Using Thin Walled Tubes

  • The purpose of this paper is investigating the effect and influence rates of utilizing thin walled energy absorption tubes for improving crashworthiness parameter by increasing energy absorption of the body in high speed railcars. In order to find this, a proper profile of available tubes is chosen and added to the structure of selected high speed train in Iranian railway network (Pardis Trainset) and then examined in the scenario of impact with other moving rolling stock. Because of the specific features of LS-DYNA 3D software at collision analysis, the dynamic simulation has been performed in LS-DYNA 3D. The results of the analysis clearly indicate the improvement of train crashworthiness as the energy absorption of structure increases more than 30 percent in comparison with the original body. This strategy delays and reduces the shock to the structure. The verification of the simulation is by using ECE R66 standard.

아토마이징 노즐의 유동 및 성능해석 (Flow and Performance Analysis of Atomizing Nozzle)

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of driving atomizing nozzle position, the slope of sludge entering tube and supplying air flow rate on the performance of sludge air dryer. This paper deals with optimization of the geometry of the atomizing nozzle for sludge drying using computational fluid dynamics and drying performance test using pilot air dryer. The air drying system was composed of the atomizing nozzle which made high-speed fluid field. dewatered cake was crushed at the high-speed zone as the first step and formed intto dried powder of sphere shape by the collision between particles at the circling zone. The CFD analysis results show when the slope of entering sludge tube is smaller, suction air amount is increased. It is shown that the developed atomizing nozzle is very excellent in the drying performance through pilot test.

경량화 알루미늄-GFRP 혼성 사각관 보의 굽힘성능 및 붕괴 메커니즘 (Bending Performances and Collapse Mechanisms of Light-weight Aluminum-GERP Hybrid Square Tube Beams)

  • 자동차 충돌이나 전복사고에 있어서 부재들의 변형은 축방향 압축붕괴와 함께 굽힘붕괴가 혼합된 변형양상을 보여주고 있으며, 자동차에 사용되는 대부분의 박벽관 부재는 굽힘붕괴가 주된 붕괴형태로 나타나고 있다. 하지만 혼성 사각관의 굽힘붕괴에 대한 연구는 축방향 붕괴의 연구에 비해 많이 부족한 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 알루미늄-복합재료 혼성 사각관의 굽힘 붕괴 거동 및 에너지 흡수 특성을 실험적 방법으로 연구하여 경량화 구조부재로서의 적용가능성을 조사하였다. 접착필름 살입형 경화법으로 제작된 알루미늄-복합재료 혼성 사각관 보에 대해 복합 재료 층의 적층두께와 적층 각에 따른 굽힘 성능을 평가하였다. 본 혼성 사각관 보는 복합재료만으로 구성된 사각관 보에서 발생할 수 있는 불안정한 붕괴모드를 안정적인 붕괴로 전환시키면서, 단순 알루미늄 사각관에 비해 에너지 흡수 능력이 향상되었고, 특히 $[0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}]s$를 적층한 혼성 사각관의 경우 벽두께 1mm인 알루미늄 사각관 시험편과 비교하여 흡수에너지가 1.78배 증가하였고 단위무게당 흡수에너지는 1.29배로 증가함을 보였다.

  • We measured the electron drift velocity, W, in 0.5% $SF_6-Ar$ mixture over the E/N range from 30 Td to 300 Td and gas pressure range from 0.1 to 0.5 Torr by the double shutter drift tube with a variable drift distance, and calculated over the same E/N and gas pressure range by using the two-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation. The measured and calculated values at different gas pressure at each E/N was appreciable dependence in the results on the gas pressure.

  • In the pneumatic system, pneumatic cylinder is wildly used to factory automation. In general, Pneumatic cylinder problems are occured with colliding to stroke end part at which piston collide to end-cap, head cap and tube when piston is loading. This appearances have a short life of cylinder and is due to system destruction. This study examines the dynamic characteristics of pneumatic cushioning cylinder and cushion sleeve design. At head part cushion chamber for the vertical experimental, The decisions of cushioning effect and the results of the experimental research are obtained to the followings: i) The cushioning effects could acqure to the reserch, if the compressible energy is more than kinetic ones. ii) The collision of piston and head cover could acqure to the research, if the kinetic energy is more than compressible iii) If the load increase to the rolling car, the cushion region pressures would increase and the dynamic force.

박판 상형 부재의 붕괴 특성연구 (Collapse of Thin-Walled Hatted Section Tubes)

  • Collapse characteristics of thin-walled hatted section tubes are investigated. The square section members with flanges are substituted by the equivalent rectangular tube. The stiffening effects of flanges are transformed to the restraining plate with the equivalency of buckling strength. The square tubes of single-hatted and double-hatted sections are investigated. The double-hatted section members show symmetric and antisymmetric crushing modes depending on the stiffness of flanges. The single-hatted section members show only symmetric modes. The bifurcation point of the compact crushing modes are investigated by experiments and shown almost same thickness-width ratio of the rectangular tubes. A large maximum crippling strength can be obtained by double-hatted section members with proper flange dimensions.

  • The hydroforming technology has gained in importance over the last few years, because of its potential for substantial weight avings costs reduction and quality improvement such as collision property, shape fixability and rigidity of white body. However, in comparison with the traditional sheet forming process, the hydroforming is much younger and the main development efforts were made in the last 15 years. The new technology, high pressure tublar hydroforming in particular, involves many process parameters to be optimized. This paper covers a brief overview of the hydroforming simulator as well as design of die and tools. The effects of typical parameters such as internal pressure and axial compression stroke are presented. Moreover, the conditions of forming failure occurrences such as fracture and wrinkle are examinated.

  • A modified circulating fluidized bed heat exchanger under severe fouling condition is developed. The effects of fouling deposits on the performance of a heat exchanger are investigated. The principle and operating characteristics of a circulating fluidized bed heat exchanger are dicussed. A modified circulating fluidized bed heat exchanger shows more stable operating than the other circulating fluidized bed heat exchanger. The characteristics of self cleaning and heat transfer enhancement of a circulating fluidized bed heat exchanger are studied. The movement of spherical particles in a tube is visualized and heat transfer enhancement and scale reduction mechanism by particles are investigated.
