  • In the present paper, some general convergence principles are established in metric spaces and then theses principles are applied to the convergence of the iterative sequences for approximating fixed points of certain classes of mappings. By virtue of our principles, most of the latest results obtained by several authors can be deduced easily.

국내대학 게임학과의 융합교육 현황과 개선방안 (Analysis and Improvement on the College Convergence Education with Game Departments)

  • Game industry demands for talented workers from game scenario writing, graphic design and computer game programming areas, which are the three heterogeneous parts of computer game making. This paper deals with the analysis on the college convergence education, surveying the curriculums of game departments in Korean universities and with how to proceed for game programmers to the direction of convergence education for computer game making. Most of the game departments are focusing on game programming area, whereas only 2 departments among 14 surveyed are teaching the game graphic design topics. Observing the curriculum changes for sampled game departments reveals that around 30% of the majoring classes are directly game related. Game programmers are to be advised to fulfill their programming skill first and later expand their ability to game graphic design skill.

공과대학 융합교육 형태 연구 (A Study of Convergence Education Type for the College of Engineering)

  • Due to the development of science and technology, diversity of fusion technologies has become a major concern. Especially the application of the convergence education became necessary in the curriculum of engineering department. The purpose of this paper is to extract characteristics of convergence education among engineering majors and to present a model of applicable convergence education. The researchers collected studies of past 15 years in domestic and international journals in related themes. Academic research information systems, DBpia, e-article, Academic Search Complete were used for keyword searches. 43 Korean papers and 25 international papers were analyzed for the study. The results showed that the convergence education models for college of engineering can be classified into the three types: the cooperative convergence, multidisciplinary convergence, and transdisciplinary convergence. Based on the results, a convergence education model is suggested for the schools of engineering in Korea.

  • Education emphasizes problem-solving skills based on convergent thinking power in an era of rising uncertainty and rapid progress. This paper proactively designed e-Learning team teaching convergence liberal arts courses for prospective teachers by these social needs. It analyzed the empirical effects on the operation of the subjects to foster future talent who can converge and apply knowledge in various fields. The curriculum consisted of professors of mathematics, practical Arts, computer, and education, and was operated to convey convergent knowledge of information technology and humanities, and consisted of 15 liberal arts courses at J University. Besides, textbooks and teaching materials were also developed by the faculty. As a result of the primary research, prospective teachers who took the course generally showed high satisfaction with the class, especially for the faculty. The students' overall convergent thinking ability has increased to a statistically significant level (p<.01), and the students' major has been found to be irrelevant. On the other hand, it can be seen that communication, content convergence, and caring factors, excluding creativity factor, have all risen to a significant level.

A Study on the Awareness and Need for Connected-Convergence Education among College Students in Health-Related Fields

  • Background: In modern society, rapid changes in the medical environment have required medical staff to access various information and be competent in active and effective problem-solving through collegial interactions. In line with these changes, universities are aiming to connect education. This study aimed to provide basic data of connected-convergence education by survey the awareness and needs of college students in health-related fields. Methods: This study included 122 college students from the health field. A survey regarding "the awareness and need of connected-convergence education" was conducted and general characteristics of the participants were collected from June to July 2022. Results: The awareness of connected-convergence education was low at 19.7%, but the intention to participate was high at 74.6%. Subject requirements were 18.0% for medical psychology, 13.5% for communication and counseling, 13.5% for medical artificial intelligence technology convergence, and 10.4% for sports health management. In the group showing high satisfaction with the major curriculum, the demand for connected education was also high. For efficient operation, it was investigated that it was necessary to secure specialized training courses, recognition of liberal arts credits, the right to register for courses equal to those of major students, and secure dedicated classrooms. Conclusion: Although the awareness and experience of connected-convergence education among the participants were low, the intention to participate was high. As such a plan to revitalize the university curriculum was required. It is timely to discuss the nurturing of convergence-type talents and multidisciplinary thinking skills. It is meaningful to provide basic data necessary for connected-convergence education in health-related fields at university. Universities should strive to enhance job competency in the health field by providing connected-convergence education based on student demands.

Development of Creative Convergence Education Program for Engineering College Students

  • Recently, convergence engineering is emerged technology to make a whole new conceptual methodology attractively more than we previously developed the distinct technology for engineering college students particularly. Based on convergence methodology, we utilize the open-source electronic prototyping platform named Arduino enabling users to create interactive electronic objects and the automata that is generally referred to a wooden moving, mechanical device or art of work in order to develop the creative convergence education program. We have confidence that our education program can lead the development of automata and information technology simultaneously and can nurture talented students who have creativity and originality in engineering college.

융합기술교육에 대한 산업체 수요조사 : 나노, 바이오, 로봇, 디자인 분야를 중심으로 (Industrial Needs Investigation on Technological Convergence Education: Focused on the Field of Nano-tech, Bio-tech, Robot, and Design)

  • This study aims to investigate industry needs for convergence education in the field of nano-technology, bio-technology, robot, and design. Firstly, the area of convergence technology in nano-tech, bio-tech, robot, and design fields was examined through the literature review and case study. The areas were validated by the experts review who consisted of four industry experts and four professors in the relevant fields. Second, a questionnaire was developed for investigating industry's needs on convergence education. The questionnaire consisted of three parts: 1) awareness of necessity for convergence education, 2) the needs for convergence new technology education from the perspective of industry, and 3) opinions on convergence education. The questionnaire was validated by three engineering education experts. Third, the survey was conducted in cooperation with the Sector Council of Industrial Resources. A total of 400 respondents responded to the questionnaires: 98 in the nano-technology field, 74 in the design field, 58 in the robotics field, and 170 in the bio-technology field. Fourth the industry needs for convergence education were analyzed and implications were suggested. The results of this study are expected to provide a guideline for developing convergence education programs in higher education.

일부 보건계열 학생들의 통합돌봄 융합교육에 대한 인식 및 요구 (Awareness and needs for integrated care convergence education among some health students)

  • Objectives: This was carried out to develop an integrated care convergence curriculum. Methods: An online survey was conducted on 312 public health college students, and frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and chi-square test were conducted. Results: Awareness of convergence education (2.55) and experience of convergence education (10.3%) were low, but those with education experience had high awareness of integrated care and convergence education (p<0.001). The need for education (3.07) and manpower training (3.14) were both high, and the preferred training content was first aid (3.57). Conclusions: Additional research is needed on the development of integrated care convergence curriculum.

IT 융합 교육 유무에 따른 대학생의 창의적 문제 해결 역량 분석 (Analysis of Undergraduates' Creative Problem Solving with or without IT Convergence Education)

  • 제 4차 산업 혁명을 맞이하고 있는 최근 대학 교육은 전문적인 지식의 전수보다 문제해결력이나 창의성을 강조하고 있다. 뿐 만 아니라 첨단 정보통신기술이 융합되어 혁신적인 변화가 이루어지면서 융합 교육에 대한 필요성이 더욱 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IT 융합 교육을 실시한 후와 일반 융합 교육을 실시한 후, 창의적 문제 해결 역량의 차이를 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과 일반 융합 교육보다 IT 융합 교육을 받은 수강생의 창의적 문제 해결 역량이 더 높았으며 통계적으로도 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 이에 창의적 문제 해결 역량 함양을 위해 대학에서는 각종 강좌에 IT 융합 교육을 연계한 교육이 활성화되어야 할 것이다.

체육교육에 대한 대학생들의 융합적 인식 연구 (The Study on the Convergence Perception of College Students for the Physical Education.)

  • 본 연구는 체육교육에 대한 대학생들의 융합적 인식을 탐색하여 체육교육에 대한 반성적 자료를 얻는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 인간의 주관적 인식을 탐색할 수 있는 방법인 Q방법론을 활용하였다. 연구대상은 대학생 30명으로 하였다. 연구결과 4개의 유형이 탐색되었다. 첫째, '전문성 강조형'으로 정의한 유형 1은 체육수업에서 보다 전문적인 종목별 운동기능과 기본 체육이론의 중요성을 강조하였다. 둘째, '교수방법 강조형'으로 정의한 유형 2는 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하기 위해 효율적인 교수방법의 중요성을 강조하였다. 셋째, '필수과목 요구형'으로 정의한 유형 3은 체육교육의 필수과목요구와 체육수업시수의 증대 등을 강조하였다. 넷째, '생활체육 강조형'으로 정의한 유형 4는 체육교육은 원활한 사회생활을 위한 체력증대 및 사회성 함양 그리고 생활체육과 연계성을 강조하였다. 본 연구결과는 체육교육에 대한 반성적 자료를 제공함으로서 효과적인 체육교육계획을 수립하는데 기여할 것이다.
