강우로 인한 터널내부 과다변위 사례 연구 (A case study on excessive displacements occurred in the tunnels caused by rainfall)

  • 최근들어 터널건설이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 터널건설 증가와 더불어 터널시공중 붕락발생 빈도도 증가하고 있다. 이와 비례하여 터널 입 출구부 사면부 변상 발생후 터널내부까지 과다변위를 발생시키는 사례 또한 자주 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 터널시공 사례를 분석하여 갱구부 사면변상과 터널내부 변위를 발생시키는 요인들을 조사하였고 그중 특히 국부적인 단층파쇄대와 강우가 직접적인 붕락을 발생시키는 요인으로 분석되었다.

  • In this study, a database composed by 46 cases of tunnel collapses has been built up. Based on the database, comprehensive data analysis is carried out, providing us a number of the technical lessons, which can be considered in future design and construction to minimize possibility of tunnel collapse disaster. For making a better understanding, the technical lessons are given in two divisions: mountain tunnel and urban tunnel. Tunnel collapses taking place in the former tunnel are generally due to bad discontinuity condition of jointed rock mass. Otherwise, urban tunnel has weak condition generally on ground water and weathering of ground. Most of technical comments given in this paper are made based on the cases of tunnel collapses only used in this study, so that the comments seems to be hard to be available to all the tunnelling cases. However, the comment should be valuable technical lessons for tunnel engineers to consider in tunnel design or construction.

  • Recently, accelerating population and advanced economy result in extending old freeways and constructing new freeways. To make a good freeway shape, tunnel constructions are also rapidly increasing. Therefore, a possibility of a collapse during a tunnel excavation is getting higher in a proportionate manner. This research paper will analyze forms and causes of the collapses for different geological conditions and applied reinforcement solutions by investigating typical collapse sites during highway tunnel constructions.

  • Collapse was one of the typical common geological hazards during the construction of tunnels. The risk assessment of collapse was an effective way to ensure the safety of tunnels. We established a prediction model of collapse based on Bayesian Network. 76 large or medium collapses in China were analyzed. The variable set and range of the model were determined according to the statistics. A collapse prediction software was developed and its veracity was also evaluated. At last the software was used to predict tunnel collapses. It effectively evaded the disaster. Establishing the platform can be subsequent perfect. The platform can also be applied to the risk assessment of other tunnel engineering.

지하수 용출과 단층파쇄 위치에 따른 터널 거동 연구 (A Study on Behaviour of Tunnel Considering the Location of Groundwater Leaching and Fault Fracture Zone under Tunnel Construction)

  • 터널구조물은 굴착 주변 지반의 강도를 활용하는 구조물로서 지반특성이 가장 중요하다. 단층파쇄대와 같은 취약한 지반 조건이 터널 굴착 구간에 존재하는 경우, 특히 단층파쇄대와 지하수 용출이 동시에 발생하는 조건에서는 터널 굴착 중 과다변위 또는 붕락 등이 자주 발생한다. 이러한 단층파쇄대는 터널 굴착 중 변위 및 붕락의 방향을 결정해주는 중요한 요인이 된다. 단층파쇄대의 규모 및 지표부와의 방향성에 따라 터널 거동 특성이 결정되고 이와 더불어 지하수 용출이 발생되는 경우에는 터널 굴착 중 발생되는 변위 및 붕락 특성이 시간 의존적인 거동을 하게 되는 결정적인 요인이 된다. 단층파쇄대 구간에서 지하수 용출을 해석적인 방법으로 예측하거나 지하수 용출과 단층파쇄대의 상호거동을 분석하였을 경우에 정확하게 예측을 하기가 어렵다. 따라서 단층파쇄대와 지하수가 동시에 발생하는 구간에서는 해석적인 분석방법으로는 한계가 있으므로 실제 시공사례를 분석하여 거동을 종합적으로 예측하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 단층파쇄대의 위치에 따른 실제 터널 거동 특성을 분석하였다.

Three-dimensional limit analysis of seismic stability of tunnel faces with quasi-static method

  • Based on the existing research results, a three-dimensional failure mechanism of tunnel face was constructed. The dynamic seismic effect was taken into account on the basis of quasi-static method, and the nonlinear Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion was introduced into the limit analysis by using the tangent technique. The collapse pressure along with the failure scope of tunnel face was obtained through nonlinear limit analysis. Results show that nonlinear coefficient and initial cohesion have a significant impact on the collapse pressure and failure zone. However, horizontal seismic coefficient and vertical seismic proportional coefficient merely affect the collapse pressure and the location of failure surface. And their influences on the volume and height of failure mechanism are not obvious. By virtue of reliability theory, the influences of horizontal and vertical seismic forces on supporting pressure were discussed. Meanwhile, safety factors and supporting pressures with respect to 3 different safety levels are also obtained, which may provide references to seismic design of tunnels.

Collapse mechanism of tunnel roof considering joined influences of nonlinearity and non-associated flow rule

  • Employing non-associated flow rule and Power-Law failure criterion, the failure mechanisms of tunnel roof in homogeneous and layered soils are studied in present analysis. From the viewpoint of energy, limit analysis upper bound theorem and variation principle are introduced to study the influence of dilatancy on the collapse mechanism of rectangular tunnel considering effects of supporting force and seepage force. Through calculation, the collapsing curve expressions of rectangular tunnel which are excavated in homogeneous soil and layered soils respectively are derived. The accuracy of this work is verified by comparing with the existing research results. The collapsing surface shapes with different dilatancy coefficients are draw out and the influence of dilatancy coefficient on possible collapsing range is analyzed. The results show that, in homogeneous soil, the potential collapsing range decreases with the decrease of the dilatancy coefficient. In layered soils, the total height and the width on the layered position of possible collapsing block increase and the width of the falling block on tunnel roof decrease when only the upper soil's dilatancy coefficient decrease. When only the lower soil's dilatancy coefficient decrease or both layers' dilatancy coefficients decrease, the range of the potential collapsing block reduces.

  • In case of slope failure by planted protection is constructed on the slope according to of the choice trend of a recently environmental-friendly countermeasure, there has a limitation about diagnosis and preparation of measure. Also, collapse of tunnel pithead department slope has maximum in construction and countermeasure method of construction choice unlike cut-slope. In this study, analyzed inside circumstance of slope using geophysical exploration for stability analysis and countermeasure inside presentation of tunnel pithead department slope which collapse happens. geophysical exploration used dipole(Dipole-Dipole) method that is based to distribution principle does specific resistance, goes side by side with on-the-spot observation and draws base strength parameter and executed stability analysis, and presented stabilization countermeasure inside of collapse slope on this. I wish to conduce in development and research for use technical development of geophysical exploration technique hereafter by executing geophysical exploration in road collapse spot applying through this study.

A TBM tunnel collapse risk prediction model based on AHP and normal cloud model

  • TBM is widely used in the construction of various underground projects in the current world, and has the unique advantages that cannot be compared with traditional excavation methods. However, due to the high cost of TBM, the damage is even greater when geological disasters such as collapse occur during excavation. At present, there is still a shortage of research on various types of risk prediction of TBM tunnel, and accurate and reliable risk prediction model is an important theoretical basis for timely risk avoidance during construction. In this paper, a prediction model is proposed to evaluate the risk level of tunnel collapse by establishing a reasonable risk index system, using analytic hierarchy process to determine the index weight, and using the normal cloud model theory. At the same time, the traditional analytic hierarchy process is improved and optimized to ensure the objectivity of the weight values of the indicators in the prediction process, and the qualitative indicators are quantified so that they can directly participate in the process of risk prediction calculation. Through the practical engineering application, the feasibility and accuracy of the method are verified, and further optimization can be analyzed and discussed.

터널 정보관리 시스템과 터널 붕락 예측 시스템 적용성 연구 (Application of Tunnel Information Management System and Tunnel Collapse Inference System in Tunnel)

  • For an efficient management and analysis of geological/geotechnical data obtained during site investigations or tunnel construction, Tunnel Information System(TIS) was developed in this study. TIS is running in CIS(Geographical Information System) which has a spatial data. TIS consists of two parts, the Tunnel Face Mapping System(FaceMap), to record a geological features by observations and measurements at the surface of the excavation, the Borehole Data Management System(BDMS), to store the different types of rock data related to boreholes. Using the database of collapsed tunnels, 20 in Korea and 84 in Europe and with an artificial neural network, an expert system was developed for inferring the tunnel collapse pattern and its volume. And by applying Geo-predict, the system developed, in tunnels under construction, observed data from the $\bigcirc$$\bigcirc$tunnl site was compared and analyzed.
