Cooperative systems among various unmanned vehicles are widely used in various field and emerging. Unmanned vehicles are able to operate various missions without operator onboard and they are highly stable. Collaborative work of multiple unmanned vehicles is emphasized due to the difficulty of recent missions such as SEAD (Suppression of the Enemy Air Defenses), MUSIC (Manned Unmanned Systems Integration Capability), goldentime in the rescue mission. In this study, ROS and Pixhawk were proposed as a method of construction of a collaboration system and framework for an integrated simulation environment for heterogeneous unmanned vehicles is proposed. Totally 5 unmanned vehicles were set for the simulation for the observation of illegal fishing boats. This paper shows the feasibility of the cooperative system using ROS and Pixhawk through the simulation and the experiment.
Innovation is broadly defined as the creation or adoption of new ideas and technologies, which has become an instrumental tool to determine the success and development level of a country as it leads to competitiveness and productivity of companies. Innovation is influenced by many factors including geographic and socio-economic factors as well as a political framework. In fact, innovation is systemic in nature, and it focuses on interactions amongst a nexus of processes such as Research and Development (R&D), production, business, and education, amongst other factors. However, not all innovation ecosystems have the same architectural models or internal collaboration. This paper aims to review the structure of the National Innovation Ecosystem by highlighting the different actions taken by the Government of Mauritius over the years. The multipronged approach of the government will be demonstrated through the different lines of actions to boost the innovation culture and offers a foundation for other small island developing state to follow to be at par with other innovative economies.
Despite the increasing use of digital media and their powerful impact on risk management during recent outbreaks of emerging infectious diseases, the question of how digital media exposure influences preventive behaviors has not been fully explained. Using the appraisal tendency framework and protection motivation theory as theoretical frameworks, we theorized the affective and cognitive mechanisms under which the differential roles of three negative emotions (fear, anger, worry) on two cognitive appraisals (perceived threat and perceived efficacy) were examined. Based on data collected from a survey of 1,500 South Koreans during the COVID-19 pandemic, we found that while worry and anger increased perceived efficacy, fear reduced perceived efficacy. The results also showed that although exposure to COVID-19 information via digital formats increased preventive behavioral intention in general, digital media use for COVID-19 information had a negative influence on preventive behavioral intention through the sequential mediation of fear and perceived efficacy.
Since the creation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 1967, the main objective of creating a "prosperous and peaceful community of Southeast Asian Nations" through regional integration remains slow. While the aims and purposes of the ASEAN include accelerating, promoting active collaboration and mutual assistance on matters concerning culture and cultural development, the desired ASEAN Integration through culture is still in question. As a multicultural region, the richness and diversity of cultures constitute both prospects and challenges. This paper discusses 1) the concept of integration vis-a-vis the ASEAN; 2) the ASEAN's goals, policies, and initiatives, concerning culture as stipulated in the key documents of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community-Culture and Arts sector; and 3) the ASEAN identity and community vis-a-vis culture. In the end, this paper proposes a framework on the ASEAN integration through culture in the context of a single identity amidst cultural diversity.
Based on Goffman's dramaturgical theory and self-objectification framework, this study examined: 1) Chinese female's WeChat self-presentation, 2) the impact of WeChat usage on female self-objectification, and 3) the impact of self-objectification on WeChat self-presentation tactics. An online survey was conducted. The main findings include: 1) most of the participants chose to beautify their pictures and videos before they posted them, 2) the respondents attached higher importance to appearance-based body attributes than competence-based ones, 3) the most frequently applied self-presentation tactic was ingratiation, 4) WeChat usage was not a predictor of Chinese women's self-objectification, and, 5) along with extroversion, self-objectification had an impact on ingratiation, supplication, self-promotion, and exemplification. Meanwhile, use of the electronic curtain and audience sifting to control who can see a post and for how long demonstrated the empowerment of the users when they conduct self-presentation.
We introduce a machine learning-based web application to help travel agents plan a package tour schedule. K-nearest neighbor (KNN) classification predicts the optimal tourists' dwelling time based on a variety of information to automatically generate a convenient tour schedule. A database collected in collaboration with an established travel agency is fed into the KNN algorithm implemented in the Python language, and the predicted dwelling times are sent to the web application via a RESTful application programming interface provided by the Flask framework. The web application displays a page in which the agents can configure the initial data and predict the optimal dwelling time and automatically update the tour schedule. After conducting a performance evaluation by simulating a scenario on a computer running the Windows operating system, the average response time was 1.762 s, and the prediction consistency was 100% over 100 iterations.
Trust is essential for tax compliance. Various tax management issues might diminish taxpayer trust. As a result, as a measure of transparency in the services of the Indonesia's Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), a method for filing various taxpayer complaints is necessary. Whistleblowing is a service given by the DGT that accepts taxpayer issues and complaints. It may be accessed on the DGT's official website. This strategy was intended to increase compliance by instilling trust among taxpayers. This study aims to show how whistleblowing affects tax compliance by utilizing trust as a mediating variable. The study relied on 400 questionnaires issued directly to East Java I DGT Region taxpayers. SEM-PLS with the Smart-PLS tool was utilized for data analysis. According to the study's findings, whistleblowing positively impacts tax compliance, and trust partially mediates the effect of whistleblowing on tax compliance. The outcomes of this study provide empirical proof for the Slippery Slope Framework's contention that building trust is an essential technique for increasing taxpayer compliance.

The paper investigates how the semiconductor and electric vehicle industries are addressing safety and security concerns in the era of autonomous driving, emphasizing the prioritization of safety over security for market competitiveness. Collaboration between these sectors is deemed essential for maintaining competitiveness and value. The research suggests solutions such as advanced autonomous driving technologies and enhanced battery safety measures, with the integration of AI chips playing a pivotal role. However, challenges persist, including the limitations of big data and potential errors in semiconductor-related issues. Legacy automotive manufacturers are transitioning towards software-driven cars, leveraging artificial intelligence to mitigate risks associated with safety and security. Conflicting safety expectations and security concerns can lead to accidents, underscoring the continuous need for safety improvements. We analyzed the expansion of electric vehicles as a means to enhance safety within a framework of converging security concerns, with AI chips being instrumental in this process. Ultimately, the paper advocates for informed safety and security decisions to drive technological advancements in electric vehicles, ensuring significant strides in safety innovation.

Future warfare paradigm is changing to network-centric warfare and effects-based operations. In order to find first and strike the enemy in the battlefield, friendly unit requires real-time target acquisition, intelligence collection, accurate situation assessment, and timely decision. The rapid development in advanced sensor technology and wireless networks requires a significant change in operational concepts of the battlefield surveillance. In particular, the introduction of a battlefield surveillance sensor network system is a big challenge to the ground forces which have lack of automated information collection assets. Therefore this paper proposes an ontology-based context-aware framework for the battlefield surveillance sensor network system which is needed for early finding the enemy and visualizing the battlefield in the ground force operations. Compared with the performance of existing systems, the one of the proposed framework has shown highly positive results by applying the context systems evaluation method. The framework has also proven to be satisfactory by the structured evaluation method using device collaboration. Since the proposed ontology-based context-aware framework has a lot of advantages in terms of scalability and reusability, the ground force's reconnaissance and surveillance system can be widely applied to expand in the future. And, ontology-based model has some weak points such as ontology data size, processing time, and limitation of network bandwidth. However, these problems can be resolved by customizing properly to fit the mission and characteristics of the unit. Moreover, development of the next-generation communication infrastructure can expedite the intelligent surveillance and reconnaissance service and may be expected to contribute greatly to expanding the information capacity.
Open innovation is a phenomenon that has been widely accepted by both practice and theory over the last few years. On the contrary, partner relationships have attracted little attention while the open innovation could not be emerged without the link to partners. This paper identifies and evaluates a framework for the partner relationships and open innovation processes. Based on the literatures regarding open innovation and partner relationships, we propose the framework of matrix type. We present results based on 352 open innovation cases reported during 2002-2009, and each case is classified into 5 different categories of the framework. JV-C(Joint Venture relationship & Coupled process) archetype has dominated the cases with 178 cases(50.6%) where JV-O(Joint Venture relationship & Outside-In process) follows JV-C with 124 cases(35.2%). No significant change has been found in the number of cases after 2003 when open innovation firstly suggested. However, the number sharply increases in 2009 by boom in JV-C and JV-O. These results show the importance of partner relationships and preference toward Joint Venture relationship in open innovation, while the conventional approaches has just focused on value-chain partnership. We find remarkable collaboration cases contributed by universities and government invested research centers, so the role of non-profit R&D organizations has also been discussed.
