고전압용 실리콘 고무의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of Silicone Rubber for High-Voltage)

  • Silicone rubbers are elastomeric materials and organic copolymers, of which backbone is siloxane with high bonding strength. Silicone rubbers have been used as an power insulator because they are well weather proof, ozone proof and have excellent electric characteristics, thermal stability, cold resistance and low surface energy. Especially, it is known that they have very excellent characteristics at 200[$^{\circ}C$]. For this study, we made silicone rubbers as specimens and measured volume resistivity due to applied voltage and a variation of temperature 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 180[$^{\circ}C$]. Also we measured dielectric loss tangent due to applied voltage at temperature range 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 180[$^{\circ}C$] and frequency range 20[Hz] to 1${\times}10^6$[Hz].

  • In order to examine the possibility of practical at low-temperature environment curable cement mortar with chloride and nitrite as cold resistance admixture for rebar corrosion prevention. As a result, chloride was used using nitrite complex in low temperature environment and corrosion performance of rebar was improved and mortar strength was promoted. The ratio of nitrite than chloride applied more than twice, corrosion of the reinforcing bars will not occur even in low temperature environment, cement hydration reaction will be promoted and mortar will prevent freezing damage.

경도-유효변형률 관계에 관한 유한요소 해석 (Finite Element Analysis for the Relation between Hardness and Effective Strain)

  • It is already known that hardness value of cold-forged product is in close conjunction with its effective strain. This paper presents the method to predict the relation between effective strains and hardness values by using FE-simulation of hardness test from the conception that hardness indicates resistance to plastic deformation. The results of FE-simulation for the material with pre-strain arc compared with those of experiments of the references to show the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • The center floor is a part of underbody of cars. The assembling method is mostly a resistant spot welding. But the resistant spot welding has many demerits in productivity such as low welding speed, large spatter occurring, hard to verify the welding quality. The laser welding has many merits such as high welding speed, high static and dynamic weld strength. So the laser welding has been studied to substituted the resistant spot welding. Therefore, in this study, as a pre-evaluation stage for replacing the resistance spot welding with laser in production of automobile parts, the weldability of cold rolled and zinc coated steel sheets is studied and also evaluated the weld strength by the tensile shear test. And the shape of weld bead appearances and micro structure of the weld bead section is also evaluated.

  • The uniformly dispersed p-Aramid chopped fiber in a variety of rubber was investigated. The cross section and surface properties in a variety of rubber were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), weight, tensile strength, cold resistance measurements. The 1mm p-Aramid chopped fiber better uniformly dispersed than the other p-Aramid chopped fiber. The p-Aramid of lmm chopped fiber showed excellent adhesion in rubber composite because of homogeneous dispersion. Consequently, the best 1mm chopped fiber and rubber improved the strength of the composite.

  • The increase use of natural gas as an energy source has been continuous demand for ever-increasing strength in gas transmission pipeline materials in order to achieve safe and economic transportation of natural gas. In particular, linepipe material for sour gas service primarily needs to have crack resistant property. However, applications of sour linepipes are expanding toward deep water or cold region, which require higher toughness and/or heavier wall thickness as well as higher strength. To improve the crack resistance of linepipe steel in sour environment, low alloy steel are produced by controlled rolling subsequently followed by the accelerated cooling process. This paper summarizes the design concepts for controlling crack resistant property low alloy linepipe steels for sour gas service.

냉음극을 이용한 plasma전자 beam의 전기적 입력특성 I (A Study on Electric Characteristics of Plasma Electon Beam Produced by Cold Cathode.)

  • It has been investigates that electric characteristics of plasma electron beam in N$_{2}$, H$_{2}$ and Ar gas jars under various gas pressures during electron beams are formed. The results are as follows: 1)Electron beam is formed in the region of positive resistance on the characteristic curve. This phenomenon is identical in N$_{2}$, H$_{2}$ and Ar gases. 2)But in Ar gas, electron beam is formed at relatively lower gas pressure than in H$_{2}$ and N$_{2}$. 3)In pure gas either N$_{2}$, H$_{2}$ and N$_{2}$ the lower the gas pressure, the higher the voltage drop for the same electron beam current. 4)The region in which electron beam is formed is limited at a given pressure. 5)Beyond the limit mentioned above, it becomes glow discharge state and the current increases radically. 6)At a given gas pressure, electron beam voltage, that is, electrical power input increases with gap length.

Thermal Conductivity Measurement of Insulation Material for Superconducting Application

  • The thermal properties of insulation material are essential to develop a high-temperature superconducting (HTS) power cable to be operated at around liquid nitrogen temperature. Unlike metallic materials, nonmetallic materials have a high thermal resistance; therefore special attention needs to be paid to estimate heat flow correctly. Thus, we have developed a precise instrument for measuring the thermal conductivity of insulating materials over a temperature range from 40 K to near room temperature using a cryocooler. Firstly, the measurement of thermal conductivity for Teflon is carried out for accuracy confirmation. For a supplied heat flux, the temperature difference between warm and cold side is measured in steady state, from which the thermal conductivity of Teflon is calculated and compared with published result of NIST. In addition, the apparent thermal conductivity of Polypropylene laminated paper (PPLP) is presented and its temperature dependency is discussed.

  • 유해가스 발생의 저감, 에너지 절약과 환경적인 이유로 인해 아스팔트의 생산 및 시공온도의 저감에 대한 필요성은 매우 크다. 온도 저감은 시공과 성능 면에서도 유리한 점이 많은데 다짐이 더 잘되기 때문에 워커빌리티가 향상되며 추운 날씨에서도 시공이 가능하다. 또한 고온에서의 아스팔트 노화를 저감시켜 저온 균열에 보다 우수한 성능을 나타낸다. 중온형 아스팔트의 많은 장점에도 불구하고 공용성능은 아직까지 만족할 만한 수준은 아닌 것으로 평가 되며 향후 더 많은 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

  • In the cold and temperate regions of Korea the icing and ice coats on 25[kV] electric car line during winter is a very serious problem. This generates shocks at the mechanical interface of the collecting strips of the pantograph and the contact wire and extra electrical resistance, which may affect quality of current collection at the contact wire / collecting strips of pantograph interface. De-icing operations should be performed just before train operation to avoid the formation of another ice layer. This paper presents temperature analysis of the de-icing system which could be applied to the electric car line of railways.
