Three types of traffic signal systems are two-color signal systems that flash red and green and are mainly used on crosswalks, next, three-color equalization systems mainly used at T-shaped intersections with red and yellow lights and a green arrow, and third, four-color intersections that generally have red, yellow and green colored lights and a green arrow. In what is known as the "dilemma zone" area, a driver collects information that influences his/her decision whether to stop, speed, tail, interrupt, or violate a traffic light, depending on the intersection width, vehicle speed, cognitive response time and reference yellow signal time. This study examined the impact of changes in the length of the dilemma zone areas based on changes in yellow signal times, the speed of the intersection passages, and signal lamps. Downward adjustments of 50km/h and 60km/h affected yellow signal time. The yellow signal time increased by 0.1 to 2.3[s] due to this effect and the dilemma zone area increased by 1.22 to 26[m]. The driver of the dilemma zone could quickly decide to reduce the time remaining of the straight (3color, 4color) green signal to reduce the potential of a traffic accident at the intersection traffic. Safe entry of red (LED palm) and left-turn signals for entering flashed at the intersection and operated at midnight.
This study aims to suggest ways of experiential marketing management plan that the virtual tour service in the internet shopping mall is as a agents and the role of the physical interface of the internet virtual experience. It is a empirical analysis to analyze the relationship among Schmitt's five experiential Marketing elements. By the result, the rankings for high impact experiential marketing feedback relationship of cognitive creativity, composition, relationship between social intimacy, behavioral lifestyle, providing a sense of the acoustic auditory effect, a sense of dimensional visual effects in order. This result means that the intimacy and creativity, giving feedback that the opinion of consumers actively prefer internet shopping mall. In addition, it means more visual rather than auditory experience to provide marketing services and provide the lifestyle behaviors that the customer want in the Internet shopping mall. It is needs to make virtual experiential marketing relationships, strengthen the recognition specificity of these results because of experiential marketing relationship's ultimate purpose is to make the relationship between brand and customer service satisfaction of the Internet shopping mall through strengthening the relationship.
As CCTV can be an effective tool to prevent or suppress crime at low cost, they have been widesoread in developed countries. In spite of their effectiveness, they infringe some constitutional rights such as the right to privacy, the right of likeness and the right to control over personal information. The police and ward offices install CCTV in public areas to prevent crimes without a legal basis or standard. When information obtained in such a way is used as investigation data for the police or as an evidence in a court, it can cause serious trouble. To solve this problem, legal restriction on the installation of CCTV as should be clearer. Since current laws on public agencies' protection of personal information are too general, they are not effective enough to protect personal information. Therefore, Personal Information Protection Organic Act should be enacted to make a legal basis for protecting comprehensive personal information. It should be obvious who installs CCTVs, who pay for the cost and how they are managed. Before installation, the police and ward offices should obtain residents' consent through a public hearing or voting (on the range and purpose of installation), or conduct an impact assessment. During installation, CCTVs should be limited to prevent or suppress crimes, keep public order and void dangers. In case of making a sign of installation, it must specify its rights. After installation(operation/management phase), they should abide by principles of information protection and try not to infringe constitutional right. In the cognitive aspect, the police should constitutional rights must be secured although it is important to carry out their missions. The police should serve citizens and change to the police of communities. Citizens should understand that constitutional right can be infringed if public order is not maintained. When citizens cooperate with the police, they fear of crimes will decrease.
Purpose : Hearing loss is one of the most common birth defects, and early detection and intervention positively impact language/speech and cognitive development. It has been reported that NICU graduates have a high incidence of hearing loss. So we investigated the incidence, risk factors and clinical outcome of hearing loss in NICU graduates. Methods : This study involved neonatal auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing of newborn infants who graduated from the NICU of Kyungpook National University Hospital during a 3-year period (between July 2002 and June 2005) and subsequent follow-up of these infants. Results : ABR evaluations were performed on 474 infants. Of these infants, 64 showed abnormal ABR (13.5 percent). Of 128 ears from these 64 infants, two ears (1.6 percent) and 10 ears (7.8 percent) were classified as severe and profound hearing loss, respectively. The infants with abnormal ABR had higher incidence of prematurity, low birth weight, very low birth weight, neonatal asphyxia, cranio-facial malformation and amikacin treatment over 15 days (P<0.05). In infants with hyperbilirubinemia, the peak level of serum bilirubin, duration of phototherapy and exchange transfusion were not associated with the higher incidence of hearing loss. Follow-up ABR evaluation was performed on 15 infants with abnormal ABR at $8.8{\pm}4.4months$. In follow-up ABR, 80.0% showed improvement or normalization of threshold sensitivity. Conclusion : NICU graduates exhibit high risk for hearing loss. Systemic and effective hearing assessment program is needed for these high risk infants.

The emerging technologies for the natural computer interaction can give manufacturers new opportunities of product innovation. This paper is the study on a method of human communication about a finger gestures interaction. As technological advance has been so rapid over the last few decades, the utilizing products or services will be soon popular. The purpose of this experiment are as follows; What is the usefulness of gesture interaction? What is the cognitive impact on gesture interaction users. The finger gestures interaction consist of poking, picking and grasping. By measuring each usability in 2D and 3D space, this study shows the effect of finger gestures interaction. The 2D and 3D experimental tool is developed by using LeapMotion technology. As a results, the experiments involved 48 subjects shows that there is no difference in usability between the gestures in 2D space but in 3D space, the meaningful difference has been found. In addition, all gestures express good usability in 2D space rather than 3D space. Especially, there are the attractive interest that using uni-finger is better than multi-fingers.
As information technology is more actively incorporated into automobiles, the role of IVIS (In-Vehicle Infotainment System) is becoming increasingly important for providing convenience and entertainment for drivers. However, using the infotainment systems while driving requires task switching and attending to two visual resources simultaneously. We simulated a setting where participants have to drive while interacting with the infotainment system and examined how task difficulty and motor cues impact driver task-switching and driving performance, specifically whether the effects of motor cues differ depending on task difficulty. For the infotainment display, we used two types of number array depending on the congruency between the digit repetition and the chunking unit, while task difficulty was manipulated by the size of the touch-keys. Participants were instructed to dial two numbers on the screen while we recorded the dialing time, lateral position, inter-key press intervals, and steering wheel control. We found that dialing time and lateral position were affected by task difficulty, while the type of number array had no effect. However, the inter-key press intervals between chunked numbers and steering wheel movement both increased when participants had to use an incongruent number array, which indicates that, if number digits are repeated, chunking is ignored by the drivers. Our findings indicate that, in a dual-task condition, motor cues offset the effect of chunking and can effectively signal the timing for task switching.
The appropriate interpretation of social cues is a crucial ability for everyday life. While processing socially relevant information, beyond the low-level physical features of the stimuli to emotional information is known to influence human cognition in various stages, from early perception to later high-level cognition, such as working memory (WM). However, it remains unclear how the influence of each type of emotional information on cognitive processes changes in response to what has occurred in the processing stage. Past studies have largely adopted face stimuli to address this type of research question, but we used a unique class of socially relevant motion stimuli, called biological motion (BM), which depicts various human actions and emotions with moving dots to exhibit the effects of anger, happiness, and neutral emotion on task performance in perceptual and working memory. In this study, participants determined whether two BM stimuli, sequentially presented with a delay between them (WM task) or one immediately after the other (perceptual task), were identical. The perceptual task showed that discrimination accuracies for emotional stimuli (i.e., angry and happy) were lower than those for neutral stimuli, implying that emotional information has a negative impact on early perceptual processes. Alternatively, the results of the WM task showed that the accuracy drop as the interstimulus interval increased was actually lower in emotional BM conditions than in the neutral condition, which suggests that emotional information benefited maintenance. Moreover, anger and happiness had distinct impacts on the performance of perception and WM. Our findings have significance as we provide evidence for the interaction of type of emotion and information-processing stage.

This study examined the relationship between the sociodemographic characteristics, health related factors, physical functions (ADL, IADL), mental functions (CES-D, MMSE-K), oral health impact profile (OHIP-14), and the quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) for the elderly in long-term care facilities. The research was conducted in 602 facility allowance beneficiaries authorized to be eligible for long-term care in long-term care facilities through personal interviews using a structured questionnaire from May 1 to June 30, 2016. As a result, the quality of life was lower among females than males in the group receiving government subsidies than the group whose livelihood was maintained by themselves or their children, in the group with a longer period of care, in the drinking group than the non-drinking group, in the group with irregular exercise than the regular exercise, in the group with irregular meals than regular meals, in the group with poor subjective health conditions than good subjective health condition, in the group with a smaller number of daily toothbrushing, in the group with xerostomia than no xerostomia, in the group with a lower OHIP-14, in the group with a lower ADL and IADL, and in the group with a lower CES-D and MMSE-K. In particular, the quality of life was affected more by health-related factors and CES-D and MMSE-K than by other factors. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to prevent depression and cognitive impairment, including health-related behavior, with the objective of improving the quality of life for the elderly in long-term care facilities.

Purpose - Satisfaction with service is evaluated according to customers' subjective judgment. The expected value of customer service and its evaluations depend on the customers' position. The customer recognizes two different forms of service levels. One is satisfaction and the other is dissatisfaction. Customers who are satisfied want to receive the service in future. However, those dissatisfied try to change the service. The service provider tries to improve the service. There are two different service cycles. One is the successful cycle and the other is the failure cycle. This study aimed to empirically determine the effects of the justice and authenticity of service recovery on customer behavioral intention through an integrated approach to cognitive justice and psychological authenticity. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on a literature review, justice of service recovery was categorized into three types: distributive, procedural, and interactive. Then, authenticity was added to obtain four independent variables, along with recovery satisfaction as a parameter. Behavioral intention, as an outcome variable, was divided into the repurchase intention and positive word-of-mouth. The model and hypotheses were created and measurement items were developed. A questionnaire survey of items concerning the service recovery experience at family restaurants was conducted on college students and residents in Gwangju from September 30 to October 31, 2013. A total of 400 copies of the questionnaire were sent out and 385 were returned. Respondents answered questions about the importance of, and satisfaction with service recovery on a 5-point Likert scale. Excluding 174 copies without service failure experiences and 7 inappropriate copies, 204 copies were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 for Windows and AMOS 20.0 to determine the reliability and validity of measurements. The hypotheses were tested through a goodness-of-fit analysis. Results - First, distributive justice positively affected recovery satisfaction. Second, procedural and interactive justice had no impact. Third, authenticity positively affected recovery satisfaction. Fourth, distributive justice had relatively stronger effects on recovery satisfaction than authenticity. Fifth, recovery satisfaction significantly affected repurchase intention and positive word-of-mouth and it proved effective in mediation. Finally, additional analysis was performed for descriptive statistics of the principal variables by various demographic characteristics and significant differences were found in gender, occupation, and so on. Conclusions - This study has academic significance as the fairness and authenticity of service recovery were investigated to reveal the effects on behavior. The findings could be applied to a wide range of service recovery strategies. However, there are some limitations. First, data was collected only from the residents of Gwangju and most respondents were aged 20-30. Future studies should target a wide range of areas and age groups. Second, because the questionnaire used in this study targets only convenience family restaurants, the results of this study cannot be generalized to all services companies. Future research should be done on a wide range of industries such as hotels, airlines, and hospitals, and perform a comparison between sectors.
Despite a dramatic increase in the use of smartphones these days, the elderly's smartphone usage rate is relatively low. This is because there are some facts limiting the elderly's access to the smartphones: 1) aging in both physical and cognitive abilities and 2) complicated functions that are hard to see in the phones. In this study, we studied how Korean typography influence the elderly's legibility and extracted proper Korean typography factors that would best suit the elderly when they use the smartphones. As a result of the study and legibility evaluation for the 24 seniors over 65, we could witness the excellence of 13pt font size compared to 11 or 12 and the Serif typeface as being better than San Serif typeface. On the other hand, the space between the letters and lines did not make a big influence on the elderly's readability. From the preference evaluation, there were no differences found between Serif typeface and San Serif typeface. However, a bigger font size was preferred in the order of 13pt, 12pt, and 11pt. There was no difference in preference found regarding the space between the letters and the lines. We expect that proper Korean typography in smartphones could help the elderly in using the smartphones well.
